They decided to end the meeting after an hour of questioning each other. By the end Arwin had learned they arrived in the Kingdom of Vauland, ruled by King Tristan and Queen Annabel of House Reynolds, their house had ruled the kingdom for 12 generations. The kingdom was the furthest north on the continent of Odella. How far north they were combined with the failed expedition to explore what they referred to as The World's Edge Mountains and what possibly lay beyond four hundred years ago had them believing that those mountains marked where the world ended. Edward claimed not to know any more about the expedition when asked however, he claimed that the city's library Should.
Arwin made a note to visit the library within the next week, he had a pretty good idea of what happened but wanted to be sure. He went over all he'd learned while walking to the stables to ride Storm Feather back to the airship. He was met by Captain Durwin as he exited through the front doors.
"Arwin if you have a moment I'd like to talk about the possibility of landing your ship."
"We'd need to build a specific airdock as we call them for it to land, I don't doubt for a second you'd already have access to more than enough materials it would need to be built inside the city walls, or a large foundation would have to be built deep into the ground to be able to support it." Arwin wasn't surprised by the question he figured they would want a better look at the thing to try and understand how it was made.
"I understand. Lord Edward is formally inviting you and the other two to join him for dinner in the main dining hall within the hour."
"we will be there."
Durwin nodded before heading back inside. Arwin instructed the raven guards with him to inform Throtson and Tulata of their dinner invitation. He continued to head for the stables he figured he should check up with Captain Ludolf about how things had been on the ship.

It had almost surprised Arwin how the stables looked identical to the ones they had for horses back in Taeldain when he first arrived. Though he figured there was only one good way to do some things no matter where. Looks like my report to the Empress will have to wait he thought while getting Storm Feather saddled up. While he'd prefer to let Storm Feather wander outside the stable structures themselves as he would back home, at the moment that wasn't feasible. They had a yard for the horses the problem was it usually had horses in it, and Griffins eat horses so he was stuck inside a pen sequestered away from the other animals. Storm Feather nuzzled him affectionately as he led him outside.
They only flew for a few minutes to get to the ship much to Storm Feather's disappointment. Since he wouldn't be staying long Arwin landed on the deck instead of in the Gryphon stables. The crew around the deck looked bored as they went about their tasks, given that the ship was just hovering in place they didn't have very much to do. Captain Durwin was conversing with the helmsman as he approached.
"Captain how have things been up here?"
"All quiet sir. The only thing to mention was a merchant caravan stopping to exchange words with Vyrlentess as she was lying by the road. Word of us has spread to the nearby villages and town at the very least." Durwin leaned onto the railing in front of him. "given that you rode onto the deck I take it you aren't staying long?"
"No Baron Edward has invited me Throtson and Tulata to dinner in a little under half an hour. I wanted to make sure that everything was alright up here though. I understand most of our people haven't gotten down yet. I hope that I should be able to get permission to let our crew into the city by tomorrow."
"glad to hear I won't pretend I don't want to explore a little myself. Enjoy dinner with the Baron."
Arwin nodded before having Storm Feather take to the air again. He decided to fly around a little before heading back to the keep, he could tell the griffin needed to let out some energy. He made sure Storm Feather was fed dinner before he went to the dining hall for dinner himself.
