Chapter 29 Four Elements

Chapter 29 Four Elements

FA Chapter 29 Four Elements

Musana felt a pressure building up within his chest as a thick wall of air crashed into him and pushed him away with such force that he felt as if his internal organs were about to shift.

He had coated his body in his crystal spiritual energy, which was as solid as it could get, and yet, he could still feel the power within the attack!

"Hah!"

With a burst of tremendous force, he shattered the wall of air by pushing against it with his hands, which were coated in spiritual energy.

Without even a hint of hesitation, he leaped upwards using a hastily constructed spiritual platform beneath his feet, with a rotating spike blitzing through his earlier location.

This battle was proving to be strenous and troublesome. But, it was also awakening the excitement and ferocity within, which had been made to go domant these past few years.

How long had it been since he had last danced upon the thin line of life with an abyss of death just below?

His lips curved upwards as an overwhelming sense of danger flared within his senses, only for him to feel a sharp and blisteringly hot point make contact with his solid spiritual armor, specifically at his spinal column!

Scanning through a myriad of ways to escape the threatening attack, which was making headway into the armor in fraction of a second, he chose one solution, instantly creating a sphere in his left hand and throwing it to the left.

Then, he increased its attraction, which caused his body to be yanked away from the danger with force, only for him to dissolve said sphere before crashing into it.

(She is fairly talented in the art of battle. Or could it be instincts?)

The voice echoed within his mind even as Musana pulsed with spiritual energy, pushing away any foreign matter within a five meter radius around him. He would have loved to increase that area, but Mpewo's wind control prevented that. It was always exerting pressure upon him, hindering his movements and making it hard for him to use his full power.

With his full attention placed upon the repulsion, he gained a moment of respite, taking the time to exermine himself. So far, there had been no major injuries, with the burn on his right arm already healing, with the skin peeling away to reveal healthy cells. It had been a result of carelessness, brought upon when the other three had just joined the fight.

Lin had already sent a packet of information containing their identities and the power they held, so he intimately knew about each and everyone of them. Though, knowing and experiencing something were two different things.

Lin had been thorough in collecting and sorting the information about the four chosen targets. She had even made sure to give him the more important data, stripping away all the superfluous stuff.

Among all the four, the only person who had managed to pique his interest, had been Muliro.

The woman had been a murderer, just like himself, but what made her different was the fact that she had worked in the underworld, taking on various tasks in order to challenge the strong. As long as the mission target was strong, or had strong bodyguards, she took on that task.

Musana had pursed through some of her missions. And what he had seen had impressed him enough.

She would have been the ideal partner for him if Lin hasn't existed in the first place.

Her battle instincts were top notch! She knew how to exploit mistakes in the most efficient way, dodging fatal attacks with almost god-like precognition, reading the opponent's moves as if looking through time!

Just the thought of her power made the rejenerating cells upon his right arm to burst into flames, as if she had attacked.

'What is this?" Musana asked the being in his mind. This was puzzling. As far as he could tell, there was no way this woman had such an ability!

With a thought, he extinguished them by smothering with his spiritual energy.

(If I had known that you would create these super weapons, I would have advised you against it.)

Musana's eyes flickered as drops of water entered his sensing range, moving at speeds that would shame even bullets.

"Yaaaaah!"

With an effort of will, he created a cylindrical spherical barrier around himself and proceeded to rotate it as such speeds that the air around it distorted. He even made sure to make it as frictionless as possible, causing the first deluge to slide off to the side, while even those that managed to strike true, were flicked away.

'Super weapons?'

The droplets stopped in midair after being flicked away, bursting into a light mist, which spread around him.

Musana became cautious after feeling his spiritual energy being blocked. He was even surprised! It had happened multiple times since this battle had started, like Muliro's flames, which for some reason, prevented him from scanning through them.

And this time was no different. He had been blinded spiritually. But these people were underestimating him too much!

With a thought, his DNA changed, giving him far vision and the ability to see other wavelengths of light.

(Winning is going to be hard. Unless you use that final move, the chances of you, no- us dying is about 90%)

"How can it be that high?"

Musana's heart skipped a beat in shock, even as his eyes scanned around him, trying to pick up anything that was happening outside the mist.

He had stopped the cylindrical spiritual shield around him from spinning after dealing with every droplet, instead fortifying it to the point that it shined like a crystal.

(These humans are a small step into the Fourth realm. But even that small step is enough to lower your chances of survival, not to mention that there's four!)

"Heh! That simply makes it more exciting!"

"Zzzzzzzt!"

A bolt of lightning splashed across the crystal, scattering little offshoots in different directions and superheating his crystal cylinder.

Musana's eyes widened as he hadn't been able to react! It had been instantaneous!

"Shit!"

(Stay calm. You have been using the power of the sun all wrong. Its not a real star. Its just a power under your control. Become enterprising! Think Musana, think!)

The being's voice raised waves within his mind as he tried to figure out something from the words. There was a profound wisdom he was missing there.

(You are at the peak. Your spiritual energy can no longer be crystallized any further. Meaning that you can start breaking out of the preconceived notions of phrases.)

'There is a question scientists have always wondered. What would happen when a star is located in an atmosphere, instead of the vacuum of space?'

With the crystal cylinder as the center, air rippled and the mist was blown away as a defeaning sound exploded within the space.

Though, before Musana could become gleeful, a large object obscured the starlight which had been above him, attracting his gaze and attention, only for alarm to appear on his face.

Something gigantic was falling towards him, being dragged by the gravity of the Earth.

He phased through the cylinder, activating it to rotate with a thought, adding a dash of gravity, and allowing it to pull him along, accelerating him with every rotation to the point that the air was starting to feel like a liquid on his skin as his body moved through it.

Then, he deactivated the gravity, even absorbing the cylinder itself back into him, after which, his body was hurled towards his chosen direction as he tried to get out of the massive stone's shadow.

"You were right! This is terrifying!"

Musana shouted as he felt a heavy presence settle upon him, with the air becoming even harder to traverse through, not to mention that he could feel spears of earth forming on the surface of the rock, with each and every one of them pointing at him!

Mere gravity wasn't going to be enough to divert them away from him. These people had already found a way to bypass that particular ability of his, either by using omnidirectional attacks, or super fast projectiles, capable of escaping the gravity well.

(Dodge!)

The being's order reverberated through his mind as he felt a powerful danger enveloping his body. This was different from before!

With an intention of will, he shifted his entire collection of delicate organs and bones out of the way before a hole appeared within his back, exiting out of his stomach with such force that his body was pushed towards the ground!

In an instant, he had gained his first fatal injury!

With a shout, the hole started closing even as he burnt through his energy reserves.

"That attack was far faster than before!" Musana shouted even as he halted in place by conjuring a large spiritual platform. Getting away from this falling rock wasn't going to be possible!

His eyes even captured the fact that the blood and flesh bits that had left his body were turning brown, akin to earth.

'How am I going to stop this?'

He asked himself as he solemnly gazed back at the rock with the sharp earthen spears pointed right at him as it hurtled downwards with such momentum that even the air was pressuring his skin. His clothes had already failed to survive the battle, leaving him as nude as he had been born.
