Chapter 2: My first encounter

The window from the door unlock and the nose of a seemingly like shark pass through the frame. The difference with a normal shark is that he has nostrils in the front of his nose. I am petrified by the sight of what I'm looking at. After he finish smelling the room the same key sound rings from the other side.

The door opens in a single movement revealing a big creatures being a hybrid from multiples animals. He has the face of a big white shark but covered with furs, two ears fall revealing the trait of a bulldog. His legs are shaped like those of a dog but the weird part are the feet, they have palm. His body is covered with leather armor and some plates protecting important body parts like the torso and his... tail?

There is no animal that live on Earth that resemble this one! No, can he be considered an animal? After all he is standing on his back legs, he can use tools like keys and wear armor. This creature is an advanced species that doesn't exist from where I come from. This isn't like a dream it feels too real but if it is one please me, wake up.

I notice under his armor the same grey uniform i wear, so he's a fighter too. I'll try to ask him nicely what is his name. I don't want to have the bad side of shark standing on legs.

--- Hmm... Hi, my name is Jean, what is yours?

I hope to have some conversation, I feel lonely spending so much time in an unknown place like this one. He stand there without saying anything, his round and pure black eyes look at me without showing an ounce of emotion. The more i look at him the more I'm scared, his teeth looks as sharp as those of a shark from Earth. After too long moment of silence I ask again but louder this time, maybe he just didn't understand me the first time and is waiting for me to repeat.

--- Hi my name is Jean! What is your name?

Okay now he can't act like he didn't hear me. He has the same watch i wear on my wrist. He hold his forefinger just like I did to open the screen. From there I can't see his status windows since I'm on the other side but he point at something. The moment after a long lance made of thorn appear in his right hand. The screen disappear and the creature look at me without emotion again.

I inspect it, the lance is covered with thorns but the place where he holds it. The point of the Lance looks alike a shell but sharper and deadlier.

--- Ararr rrraar rarara rrrrr.

The dog-shark speak a language I sure don't understand a single word of what he is trying to tell me. He decipher from my clueless face that i don't understand a thing he's explaining. It makes him angry so he lift me up from the ground, makes me stand on my feet to finally hit me with cheer force the top of my head. It feels like a boxer went full power on me, I nearly fall to the ground again but he catches me again.

This watch is so well made it even has a newbie system. If only I didn't found out this way.

My head spin just like after receiving a hit but he doesn't let me regain completely my consciousness. He points in the direction of the long corridor with his big palmed hand. He pushes me so I assume I have to be the one walking in front.

I don't dare to look behind me, from the sound of it he is closing the door of my room. I start walking at a good pace, I don't want to be hit again. I don't dare running too, if he takes it like an attempt to flee and chase me, I'm dead meat for sure.

The long and narrowed corridor have doors on the right and the left the same color as mine. I'm not alone in this case, are they all human in this corridor or not? The rooms feels empty, there is no sound escaping from them.

I still hear the sounds of the steps he makes when his feet touch the ground. I grasp my courage and look behind me. The creature notice it and smile with wide teeth appearing. I knew I shouldn't have turn around and look at him. I have chills running down my spine, I just hope I am not his next meal.

We now reach the end of the corridor. I advance in the room but he doesn't follow me. He stay behind looking at what I'll do, surely to supervise and see if i try to do something fishy or not.

The room contain three stalls: the one on the left has armor on a mannequin, the one in the middle just have a big sphere and the one on the right different rustic weapon but nothing modern like guns and stuff like this.
