Chapter 6

John starts walking towards the river, His mind still a little foggy with the dream still fresh on his thoughts. He's determined to find a good fishing spot. He follows the narrow path that leads into the peaceful pine forest. The air filled with the smell of morning dew and pine. The warm rays of the sun just starting to crest the horizon's view, casting a beautiful image of light and shadow light through the trees. John follows a trail as it leads him deeper into the forest, while listening to the sound of the river getting closer. The rising of the morning mist from the river is starting to be burned off the rivers surface, John feels a sense of excitement and serenity wash over his mind.

John spoke to Max, " Max, can you play a song for me?" John hears a warm and charming female voice filling his ears. " Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and lakes you are used too." John burst out laughing. Max also laughs along with john and replied, " Didn't you tell me to play a song?" John laughed again saving, " A little TLC from my main girl max." Max then replies with a slight giggle." Don't you mean your only girl." For some reason john picked up on max's emphasis on "only". John then said to max. " With the women I seem to meet these days, they are mostly fake anyway so what the really the difference? "

As john wanders along the path ahead, following the narrow trail deeper into the forest. He notices the trees are tall and straight, with the sunlight's attempt to break through the forest canopy to reach the forest's floor. As he listens to the sounds around him, john hears birds chirping in the distance. As he gets closer to the river's edge, he notices the morning fog starting to burn off the river's surface. The sunlight is catching the top layer of the fog, making it look like a golden blanket over the water.

Finally, he breaks through the trees into a clearing. The river winds its way through a valley, and on the other side is a majestic mountain split right down the middle. The sun is rising perfectly between the two halves of the mountain, creating a breathtaking view. John stops in amazement, saying, "Oh my God, this is unbelievable. I can't believe nobody's ever photographed this place. Why isn't there more information about this online?"

John thinks to himself that not many people come up here, so that's probably why it's not really know or talked about. John thinks well this place can be my little secret. He tells Max to record a video of the view, commenting on how it looks like the river split the mountain in two. He's now determined to find the exact spot where the river meets the mountain.

As he continues walking, he notices the details of the forest floor. The ground is covered in a thick layer of fallen pine needles, and the air is filled with a musky scent. He decides to take off his shoes and walk barefoot, feeling more connected to the earth. As John walks deeper into the forest, he comes across a disturbing sight: a dead crow with a group of insects feasting on its remains. The bird has clearly been dead for a few days, and John can't help but feel a sense of pity. He's struck by the harsh reality of the natural world around him, and it makes him think about his own mortality. John takes out the crow feather that he found earlier, then he places it gently on the fallen crow as a sign of respect for the fallen bird.

John then performs a small ceremony for the bird, saying, " You were born in this world, and now you're returning to it. I would bury you, but as a bird, even in death you should never be buried underground. Your wings should always be free and feel the winds caress." John feels a sense of peace wash over his very soul; after completing the ritual, John thinks about how the bird's death as part of the natural cycle of the forest. As he continues on his journey, he reflects on the bird as a symbol of his own transformation, leaving the past behind and embracing the chance to enjoy the new day.
