A small altar lies on the outskirts of Bulgar. This ancient temple, sacred of the people of Sacae, has long been known for its powerful bond to the world of spirits. Before starting their journey, our travelers Lyn and Akira followed by Jeanne and 10 others old villagers from the Lorca tribe. come here to pray for their well-being. Lyn’s hand directed towards the temple said.

“Akira, hold a moment, and allow me a short detour. There is a sacred sword enshrined in an altar east of here. The people of Sacae go there to pray for safety at onset of a long journey.”

Akira couldn’t help but laugh deep in his mind. There was only one reason for them to come there.

The Mani Katti

The Mani Katti is a highly versatile katana-like sword. Bound solely to Lyn, this sword is one that is substantially formidable, with its true power resting within its dynamic usefulness. Bearing a close semblance to the Rapier, the only marked difference sets the two blades apart from each other is the fact that the Mani Katti boosts its wearer’s Critical Hit chance by 20%, a percentage that is for a sword of its durable ilk, startlingly high. To further add on to the sword’s strengths, it is also one that is especially effective against both armored and horse-mounted units alike. The Mani Katti is the sister sword of the Sol Katti.

When Akira was still deep in admiration for the sacred weapon inside the ancient temple that was far away in front of him, a voice could be heard from behind.

“Hey! There she is!”

Hearing the voice coming from behind, Lyn quickly turned her head and noticed the three-people coming towards them. It was Sain, Kent and Guy. Akira already knows them since they are characters that were available back in the game.

Sain and Kent were both Cavalier and Guy was a Myrmidon. Each class had their own class skill and weapons mastery depending the class.

Sain and Kent were Cavalier, they were mounted knight using swords and spears and could even learn bow and axe mastery once promoted to Paladin. The Paladin is a horse-mounted unit that could move faster than anyone on the plains and was known to be outfitted with any melees weapon.

Guy was a myrmidon, a class that could only wield swords but even so, that class was strong enough because of their great agility and amazing speed. Once promoted, the Myrmidon become a Swordmaster and their critical strike are increased by two or sometimes three times the norm.

“Whew…Finally caught up…”

Sain who arrived totally exhausted said while breathing heavily.

“You… Your name is Sain, right? What are you two doing here?”

The one who answered her was Kent.

“We have ventured from Caelin, in Lycia, in search of someone.”

Once Kent finally finished his sentence, it was Akira who unexpectedly couldn’t wait anymore and said without thinking.

“You are here looking for Lady Lyndis right?”

Kent who didn’t expected Akira to answer directed towards him and ask.

“That’s correct…Who are you sir?”

Akira who realize his own mistake, smile bitterly and said.

“Tactician and Lyn, or should I say, Lyndis’ friend.”

Upon hearing Akira’s answer, Kent was shocked. He quickly glances at Lyn and after regaining his composure and ask with a curiosity.

“How did you know that we were looking for Lady Lyndis sir?”

Since Akira already play more than a thousand of times the game, he knows every setting of the world and every dialogue that could be seen in the game. Akira answered him with a faint smile after thinking about a good setting.

“I am an acquaintance with Lady Madelyn, Lady Lyndis’ mother.”

This time, it was Lyn who was amazed. She stares at Akira with curious eyes and ask with a shocking expression.

“Akira did you really met my mother?”

Akira didn’t say anything and was deep in thought. It was his own mistakes to talk without thinking about butterfly effect. Now that he could no longer find an excuse for his mistake he said with a complicated expression.

“Yes…Lady Madelyn asked me to look for you. That’s also the reason why I was at such place when we first met.”

Lyn was totally shocked. Then she remembered about their first meeting. Akira said something about her being the daughter of Caelin but she never expected that it was the truth. She nodded and was about to ask something but Kent asked another question before she could even open her mouth.

“So, you should know about Lundgren right sir?”

“Yes, I accepted Lady Madelyn’s request to protect Lady Lyndis from Lundgren.”

“I see, sir Akira, are you heading to Caelin now?”

“There is still things that needed to be done. Once everything is done, I’ll be going.”

“Sir, don’t you mind for Sain and me to accompany you?”

“Sure, I’ll need more strength. Both of you is a plus.”

Kent nodded. Akira knows way too much information about Caelin, Kent thought that he must be a noble or prince with power, otherwise Lady Madelyn won’t ask such a request to him. Lyn, who was listening was still on the shock. She said with a serious tone.

“But I have no interest in inheriting any title!”

“That’s unfortunate but your granduncle Lundgren is not the sort of man to believe that. I believe the attempts on your life will persist.”

“Give it up Lady Lyndis. We have no choice but to head to Caelin.”

“Akira please, just call me Lyn.”

“I know, I know, I was just teasing you.”

“………”

“Sorry, sorry. I won’t do it again.”

Akira directed his glance towards Guy and Jeanne who were chatting together and ask Guy.

“What about you Guy? Do you want to come with us?”

Guy glances at Jeanne and ask hesitantly.

“You don’t mind that I come along sir?”

“The more we are, the better it is.”

When everyone was finally ready to depart, they all directed towards the temple.

Meanwhile, inside the ancient temple.

Glass: “You’re a fool, old man. What good’s a sword if you don’t use it?”

Priest: “Use it? In combat? Sacrilege!”

Glass: “Sacrilege? I am Glass! The gods fear my name! My swordplay is peerless! And if I want this sword, this sword I shall have! Now, get out of my way!”

Priest: “Oof”

Glass charges towards the priest and sent him flying away from the throne. The priest frightened by Glass ran away and escapes through the door.

“Curses! Miserable spirits! I care nothing for you! I’ll tear this altar down stone by stone!”

* * * * *

A woman suddenly came out of the temple and ran towards Akira and the group with a frightened expression on her face.

“I beg your pardon, My Lord. Are you heading to the east? To the altar?”

“Yes, we are indeed. You need my help to chase away the ruffians inside right?”

“How...? Are you a priest or a mage sir?”

“Well…Maybe?”

“Uh…?”

“Anyway, you wanted us to help you to kill the ruffians inside right?”

“Yes, my Lord. Please save the priest and take back the Mani Katti!”

“Well… You heard it guys?”

Everyone already took out their weapons and was preparing to go inside the ancient temple.

Author note: Sorry but this chapter is shorter than expected since I decided to not add the chapter 2 of the game and directly go to the chapter 3 instead. Since the plot wasn't that much interesting anyway. I hope you enjoyed ~

 P.S. Question for fan, what was your favorite weapon back in the game? Mine was Wo Dao~ I still remember the cheated crit stat it gave you lol
