1. A Girl from the Plains

He was a big fan of the game Fire Emblem since young. It was the first game he bought instead of choosing pokemon when he was inside the game store. But that was a choice that he never regreted once in his entire life.

Shunsuke Akira, he was a 17 years old highschool student. He finished every Fire Emblems games that came out on the market. The game he liked the most was the first one that came out when he was child and the first one for him, even though they released 7 versions before he was born.

Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword

It was a tactical-rpg that controls over more than 20 units moving turn-by-turn. The game setting started after you wrote your name/age/gender. The MC wokes up in a bed with Lyn next to him, one of the main character of the game.

Akira finished more than a hundred of times the game, he knew everything. The setting with all the characters, all the strategy to capture the enemy named character, the support setting making couples in the ending, the most efficient weapons, he was truly an expert when it comes to Fire Emblem.

Tonight, he wanted to restarted the game. He choosed the hard mode and directly started playing. He wanted to read once again the story between the characters, he loved every characters within the game without exception. It was like his daily drug before sleeping.

After playing for around three hours, his eyes started to close without noticing it. He forget to make a save point, but his eyes were closing against his will and started sleeping.

* * * * *

When Akira woke up, he noticed that he wasn't in his room but in a little house made by woods. Wondering why and how did he even changed the decoration of his house, he slowly turned his head, a woman suddenly appeared in his field of views.

Akira was shocked. The woman standing in front of him was a beauty. She had green long hair attached by a ponytail and with beautiful jade pupils, she stared at Akira. He knew that woman. There is no way Akira who was a big fan of Fire Emblem could not know her.

She was Lyn.

Lyn was born in the Sacaen Plains. Her parents, Hassar, chieftain of the Lorca tribe, and Madelyn, daughter of Lord Hausen of Caelin, were killed by bandits before the beginning of the game. She was named after her maternal grandmother. She lives alone until she finds the MC lying on the ground. Upon meeting the MC, she decides to follow him or her in the interest of training her sword skills and avenge her tribe, who were all killed by bandits.

Akira was completly dazzed and stared at Lyn as if he had seen a ghost making Lyn tilting her head and say.

"I found you unconscious on the plain. I am Lyn of the Lorca tribe. You are safe now."

Akira still didn't answered. He only pinched his cheek and after realising that this was really not a dream, he laughed before murmuring.

"Are you kidding me right..."

Akira's body trembled. He wasn't scared but totally excited about it. He finally had the chance to got the experience of the story though his own body! He wanted to shout in joy but restrained himself from doing so. Lyn misunderstood Akira's expression and asked.

"Can you remember your name?"

Akira finally regained his composure, he noticed that Lyn was still curious about his whereabouts and finally opened his mouth.

"Shunsuke Akira."

With only a short sentence, Akira introduced himself. In the game setting, the main character didn't really talked a lot. It was only for the first presentation then the main character become a third people watching the fight and controlling the others characters they encountered. He didn't really knew what to say except his name and it was rather complicated to explain the truth.

"What an odd-sounding name. But pay no mind. That's a good name."

It was excatly the same sentance written in the game making Akira silently laughed within his mind. Lyn continued to asked him another question after another bombarding him without waiting the answer.

"I see by your attire that you are a traveler. What brings you to the Sacae plains? Would you like to share your story with me?"

It was also a sentence from the game, what should Akira answer? Back in the game bandits should attack the village soon. After recollecting his memories he said.

"I came here looking for you. Lyn, daughter of Caelin."

This time it was Lyn that showed an atonished expression. She knew about Caelin but she never heard that the lord of the land, Hausen having a daughter. She thought for a short moment then asked with curiosity.

"What do you mean?"

Akira stared at her without saying anything. Actually he didn't really knew what to say except that, but before he could open his mouth once again, someone entered in the house.

"Miss Lyn! The bandits are launching an attack to the village!"

'That's the event!' After hearing the village chief report, Akira asked.

"Do you have a weapon for me? I can help you to defend the village."

"What? You want to help? Well, can you use a weapon?"

"Yes, I can only defend myself though."

'What a strange man...' Lyn thought. Lyn's village didn't had real skilled warrior, She didn't mind about one more hand and said.

"Ok, wait there I'll take a weapon for you."

She quickly left and came back after few seconds and throw him two thin shabby swords.

"Sorry, I can't give you something better than this. It was one of the bandits' weapon that I took few days ago."

Akira could only sigh after watching the state of the sword. He grabbed it and a board appeared in front of him.
