As I stare down at my opponents Aura, I try to release an Aura of my own but fail for some unknown reason. I hear the rustling of the shrubbery in front of me, and a few to the side, I urn to my right to see a few level 20 wolves, but they’re patient, unlike all the other wolves before them, who jumped at me the moment they saw me and only hesitated when I hurt them.
I look back at the D-rank, and it finally shows itself. It’s skin is a hard grey colour that looks like regular steel won’t penetrate as well. There are grey tusks on the side’s of the mouth, and its ugly appearance almost makes me vomit. As I hold it back, I notice it’s weapon. It’s a club made out of wood. It doesn’t look like the weapon will last the fight, but enchanted weapons and materials are most known for their durability, and by the aura the weapon is giving, it’s definitely enchanted.
The wolves walk slowly to the monster I’m naming Torc, as it looks like a mix of an orc and a troll. Once they stop, the torc starts talking, though I am unable to understand what he is saying as it is another language not found on earth and its vocal range seems different to humans. But before I can keep thinking, two of the wolves jump at me.
I quickly pull out the dagger from my inventory and sidestep to the left. The wolf misses me, and I get a good stab. The wolf retreats while a new one takes its place. The two wolves start circling me. One tries to leap at me. I dodged, only for the other wolf to bite me. I grunted in pain.
Step back and cast a [small fire bomb]. After charging it for five seconds, I launch it at the torc. It flinches, not expecting me to attack it, but doesn’t react quick enough. It damages it a bit, but not by a lot. I can cast the fire bomb about 10 more times before I’m out of mana, but I’ll probably run out of mana before I kill it.
The Torc started shouting at the wolves, and they became scared, not at me, but at the Torc. They all rushed at me, but unwillingly, as they got closer, I cast another bomb and threw it at the one closest. All the wolves were caught in the blast, though not all of them died, but they were gravely injured and wouldn't live much longer if they kept bleeding.
The Torc finally decides to run to attack me personally it seems slow probably why it couldn’t dodge my spell earlier it yells and it seems to speed up it’s probably some sort of boosting spell it still can’t keep up with my speed but I can’t say that about it’s strength as it almost seems like it has double mine
It swings its club at me in an obvious motion. I easily dodge it yells again, but it doesn’t seem to boost it this time. Maybe it’s angry when it swings it again. I quickly prepare a [small fire bomb] and dodge it’s swing as it yells again. I throw the spell at it’s open mouth; it doesn’t register it, but I miss and hit his neck instead; it does a bit more damage than when I hit it the other time.

It gets angrier, roars more, and moves as fast as I think his body lets him, but I'm still faster. He gets angry and roars for more time, but I’m prepared and throw a bomb down his throat. As the bomb enters his mouth, it explodes, which ends up popping his head open like a balloon.
[Level up]
As the rest of his body falls to the floor, I see the club that the Torc was holding. I pick it up to see if I can see details, but it seems I can't, which means it’s either C-rank or above. I guess I’ll store it in my inventory for now. I check my status to see that instead of the regular five stat points, I’m getting seven, which is weird, but I don’t think about it more. I assign my points to mana and intelligence.
[Hidden Quest Complete]
Quest: Kill the abomination of two races and turn the ecosystem back into a place for E-ranks.
Reward:
Title: {Abomination Hunter}
+2 to all stats
[Title: Abomination Hunter]
Successfully kill an abomination
+5 to a stat of choice
(Inactive abilities)
10% more damage to abominations
So the Torc is considered an abomination due to it being a mix of orcs and trolls, so that means monsters can’t mix as it makes abominations.
[Quest Clear]
Survive the great plane for a week five days
Reward:
Upgrade stone
5 free stat points
Lesser Experience Stone
Those seem like good rewards, but I’ve never heard of an experience stone, and the upgrade stone will let me use my Tome for a longer amount of time after I take out my new upgrade stone. I take out my tome and try to put two together. The moment they touch, I get a confirmation message.
[Item Upgrade]
Would you like to upgrade {D-rank Tome} to {C-rank Tome}?
[Yes] [No]
I mentally accept the prompt, and the tome is surrounded by a white light originating from the stone. It goes on for a while, getting brighter and brighter until it stops and the stone is gone. The light recedes, and I get a prompt.
[Succesful Upgrade]
{D-rank Tome} has upgraded to {C-rank Tome}.
The moment I put the Tome in my inventory, I get teleported to the next waiting room, which means I’ve completed the first of the five tutorials.
