{LEVEL UP}
I hear the familiar ding I’ve heard so many times while pulling out my sword from the small green humanoid, the ding is being used for other things other than games though its a sound I’m so used to.
“This world really has become harsh” said my old colleague and new teammate
“It really has I should went through the tutorials that created this world’s strongest, and yet they all died, died to the monarch, we should not sully his name as we have been given a chance to live under his rule” I replied with a sad tone usually found in grieving people.
“We were lucky, out of the billions of people that died before his hand only a few thousand were allowed to live” said Jones.
“That’s true and all though that is only due to us being so weak” I replied “{Status}”

“it’s a shame I never was able to properly learn how to use wind magic” I said after finishing to look at my Status.
“Well you never took the tutorial which told most people with magic how to use it, and you don’t even have a class” Jones said
“Maybe its just late, before the monarch there were a bunch of people who didn’t get their classes until level 40”I replied
“That’s true but right now we need to get out of the dungeon and claim our pay as we just hit the quota” Jones said
“Yeah, I’m getting tired and I want to have a warm meal after weeks without one”I replied with a hint of desperation in my voice
“ Well it’s your fault for buying all those unnecessary mana potions” Jones said with a tone used from parents punishing their kids
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“They weren’t unnecessary I was trying to figure out how to use my magic and mana” I said
“Ughhh. I give up, you might as well throw it into the sewers while you're at it. Let’s starting walking to the entrance before I lose patience” jones said.
“Alright” I said.
While walking I took attention to our surroundings, there was beautiful vibrant green that the grass gave off as well as the trees that gave of a welcoming aura it was the definition of peace though there was none of it as dungeon was know for killing of newbies quickly and easily like lamb to the slaughter with the amount of goblins walking around it could have compared to a small pre system earth city but unlike the videogame and novel depictions of goblins they were not at all weak as regular goblins could go all the way up to C rank before evolution.
Before I could continue that thought a small group of goblins appeared
“Oliver come back to reality; we got a group of goblins within range of level 15 to 25” jones said hurriedly before facing the goblins again.
“Right” I said before drawing my short sword.
There was a group of four goblins in front of me even thought I was the lower level of us both I was the main hitter as Jones class needed a more even stat spread.
A goblin jumped at me I internally panicked for a second but I willed myself to stay calm and I swung my sword before the goblin was close enough to stab me with his daggers but I miscalculated and only grazed the goblin right arm though that was enough to stop the goblin’s momentum and he fell and hit his face on the ground, before he could get up I crushed his skull under my heel. I internally celebrated until I felt a sharp pain on my right shoulder.
I turned around to see the other three goblins one was focused on Jones but the other two were focused on me when the closer goblin leaped I tried swinging my sword but then I felt pain in my right shoulder it was the one the goblin cut, it was cut at the right place to make it useless for a while. The goblin reached me and he stabbed my lower abdomen I screamed in pain and punched the goblin in the face, that was enough to disorientate the goblin and I took a few steps back before I grabbed my sword with my left hand, and I quickly checked my status.

Bleeding (2% health p/minute)
They did a lot of damage for the amount of hits they did and im bleeding too I could try use magic but then again, I could hurt myself in he process as I don’t know how to use it properly.
The second goblin jumped at me I swung my left hand with as much power as I could, I got a direct hit but that wasn’t enough to kill it probably is the higher level one and as well im using my non-dominant hand, I took a step back and made a few noises that resembled words probably speaking in another language but then out of nowhere the goblin shone with a green light and I look around to see the cause.
In the dense foliage there is a goblin shaman casting a healing spell but before it finishes the spell it’s head comes off as jones snuck up behind it and killed it but before I could say anything the first goblin attacked I barely dodged it and I launched a counter attack the goblin tried dodging backwards but I was able to cut its right arm which was holding it’s dagger.
That attack gave me enough time to dash forward and slice it’s head off but I couldn’t cleanly cut it off as I got three quarters of the way through my sword stopped as I no longer had the momentum or strength to continue the slice I took my sword out but that was more than enough to kill it as I turned to look at the last goblin it was already near death as Jones was fighting it and the moment it tried attack, it’s lower body came off cleanly by Jones’ sword
I grabbed my pouch and looked for a healing potion or bandages as I was still bleeding luckily, I had bought a few health potions a few weeks ago while I was buying the mana potions, as I downed the potion Jones sheathed his sword and started walking up to me.
“When did you but those expensive things” Jones asked
“Got them at Fred’s as he got access to F and E rank potions a few weeks ago I was lucky as Fred let me get a few on discount as he knows my tendency to be close to death every time we go dungeon diving, of course they’re F rank as I spent most of my money on mana potions”I replied
I check my status to see my health now

“Let’s keep walking as the entrance should be nearby” said Jones
“Yeah, my stamina is low so we should keep going before more goblins find us” I responded
After a while of walking we arrived at the entrance the large swirling bundle of mana we call the entrance
Jones walking infront of me looked back with a sad look on his face one of pity as he stepped through the entrance. I got confused by the look and walk through the entrance with no mind to Jones look.
