Corwin rested up for a while before doing his exercises and martial arts routines, practicing keeping his body in shape for the demanding hand-to-hand combat required in game. Corwin also wished there was a way to supress messages. His kill of the chieftain had been rather flashy and he drew a lot of attention. He didn’t want to get on the wrong side of the local guilds by upstaging them, although he didn’t really have a choice to suppress the messages. He hoped it wouldn’t become an issue, although he knew he was already attacked once.
Near the end of the hour Corwin took a call with Edward and found out Edward had named his character “Kyo Staffsworn”. It turned out the two friends had similar taste in names. Edward had used the tips and tricks John had given him to get Kyo to level two. This confirmed Corwin’s expectations that he would be well ahead of everyone at this time as even Kyo wasn’t level 3 with all the insider tips and tricks Edward had. Perhaps it was arrogant but John couldn’t see anyone having anywhere near his 15 years of experience or insider knowledge to take advantage of.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
John taught Edward some more about key areas in his map and told him where and how he could farm more quickly as a summoner. He also reminded him to focus his money on skills rather than equipment and gave him a list of key skills for a summoner to get early. He also let him know the key areas to farm skill books for a summoner. He wanted to make sure Edward had a solid development in game. He promised he’d send him some good level five equipment so his gear wouldn’t be a problem by then.
Eventually and hour was nearly up and the patch will finish applying. That meant only one thing: 3… 2…1… Game Start.
UPDATE * PATCH CHANGES *Game Balance: DoT stacks no longer ignore level suppression.
