The Awakening

Lia rummaged through the boxes, trying to find the ones labelled as "Eron's Birthday".

As she dug deeper into the pile, her hand brushed against something that felt familiar. She pulled out a colourful banner that was sticking out of another box with colourful strings attached to it that read "Congratulations, You're a Mage!" and she felt a burst of happiness and nostalgia surface through her chest.

Memories flooded back from a year ago when they had put up the banner for Eron's older sister.

The joy and excitement they felt when they found out she had the potential to become a mage was indescribable.

But now, as they prepared for Eron's fourth birthday, Lia couldn't shake off the feeling of worry and sadness.

Eron was about to turn Four years old and although he was seemingly a normal child, He was much slower in learning how to speak, crawl and walk compared to other children.

Not to mention the fact that he was beyond aggressive. His behaviour was just not normal for a four-year-old, Lia thought as she swallowed her saliva and tried to clear her head.

Maybe this is how it is with boys, she thought to ease her mind.

The rumours in their town only fueled her anxiety and anger, She had heard the whispers and rumours in their small part of there town About Eron, that he was "stupid" or "slow." and would never be able to come close to his sister's potential.

Lia shook her head, trying to dispel the negative thoughts.

She and Ed were determined to give Eron the best birthday possible, And it was perfectly fine for Eron to not have the potential to become a Mage.

Afterall they were both Mana Less parents, It was already a Miracle One of there kids had Mana Potential.

She put the banner away into the box it was sticking out from and carefully tucked it away, As Lia continued to sort through the decorations, she couldn't help but feel a heaviness in her heart.

"Maybe Her awakening brought some kind of false hope" she really didn't want to keep the hope of Eron also having the chance to become a Mage, But she couldn't help herself, She wondered if it was maybe related to her family but she quickly removed such thoughts that made her heart ache with pain.

She soon found the box containing the decoration for Eron and grabbed the box that was relatively light making it easy for her to carry into the house.

Ed had gone to pick up the cake leaving only her, Claire and Eron alone in the House.

Claire being Eron's Older sister.

Lia started to put up the decoration in the Main room of the House when she suddenly heard a loud piercing cry that shattered the silence.

She wasn't really affected by it as she had now become used to the cries and shouts, Out of a room came a five year old Claire with brown chestnut hair with tears flowing out of her hazel eyes crying and running away from Eron who had short black hair and was charging at her with a banana toy in his hands while breathing heavily and slight red veins surrounding his grey pupils that were spreading out like 'lightning' with the pupils in the center.

Claire ran behind Lia and Eron stopped in his tracks as he stared at his mom and the red in his eyes faded and he calmed down and stopped breathing heavily.

Claire, who was crying behind Lia's feet pointed at Eron accusatively with tears threatening to fall out her pretty little eyes "He Stole my Mr.Banna toy again mom, An.. An.. And then he started chasing me trying to hit me" she said as she started balling out her eyes with tears.

"No I didnt! She is lying" Eron shouted in anger as his teeths gritted in anger and his breathing started becoming aggressive again.

Lia let out a sigh as she looked at Eron and Claire, "Claire..." She said, stretching out the name, "Eron would never hit you for no reason even if he took your toy, So, What did you do?"

"She hit me!" Eron shouted as he instantly pointed his fingers towards the hiding Claire.

Lia looked into Claire's eyes waiting for an answer and Claire's sobs slowly quieted down as she look towards Lia with her cutest wide eyes, "I didnt do a thing" she said trying her hardest but Lia coldly saw through that and gave Claire a small karate smack on her head.

"You know as well as I do that Eron will never get that angry if you didn't do anything to him, So tell me the truth Claire and also apologise to Eron" Lia said with a knowing look as her hands were crossed.

Claire looked down at the floor as she realised that she had been caught, Claire looked at Lia's eyes and then at Eron whose breathing became natural seeing the justice and a small smirk appeared on his face as he stared at Claire.

She stuck out her tongue at Eron calling him stupid and began running away laughing not willing to give in, Eron who understood that, as the red veins around his pupils returned his breathing grew slightly heavy again and he began running after Claire loudly shouting who ran out of the house followed by a red eyed Eron along with the Rubber banana toy in his hand waving through the air.

Lia let out a tired sigh "Take care of yourselves guys!" She shouted.

"God" she thought with an exasperated sigh "I don't know where that boys anger comes and goes from, One Minute he is fine and the other he is raging like a bull"

During the Night Eron laid down on the bed, the Moon light shone through the curtain of his window landing on his squirming body.

As much as he tried to go to sleep he failed, He tossed and turned around on his bed, Uncomfortably as he felt frustration build up in his chest.

He didn't understand what was happening to him.

He felt something he had never felt before he felt his own brain was pulsing inside his head as he failed to simply just fall asleep.

He made groans of annoyance as he tried to fall asleep when suddenly he felt his heartbeat speeding up.

His heart thumping loudly in his small room as his breathing grew rapid.

All of a sudden he felt like his brain was slowly breaking away from his body and that caused him pain of unimaginable levels.

Tears started flowing out of his eye but he failed to Express himself vocally as he felt his body and brain detaching from each other.

He found himself reaching a level of uncomfortable pain he had never known existed before and Eron could not process what was happening as his thought process began blurring.

To describe the pain it would be like each vein that is deeply rooted into your brain slowly being stretched out and snapping, And the Human brain has thousands of such veins that are highly sensitive to even the slightest poking.

The feeling of his brain getting pulled away from his head intensified as he twisted and turned on the bed In pain, helplessly whimpering and twitching with eyes wide open teeths tightly gritted against eachother.

It all reached a Peak before it felt like he was suddenly struck by some kind of a strong bolt of lightning, it felt like a Dam holding back a raging torrent of water was just destroyed by the power of the Bolt and he felt like he was on the other side of the dam facing the raging water head on as it all crashed upon his body.

Except it felt like boiling hot water that crashed upon him and the inside of his body, he began to feel like it was burning everything in his body.

His eyes stretched wide as he tried to let out a raspy scream from his throat that felt like it had all dried out and not a sound escaped as he kept on trying to scream in pain.

Every vein every artery in his body, every single muscle every organ his throat all started burning.

He began feeling suffocated as his breath grew raggedy and his eyes blurred slightly, his body thrashed around and twitched uncontrollably he felt completely suffocated.

The burning sensation all over his body kept increasing until it reached a point where his brain felt like Something Awakened, he felt or rather saw a pair of Red eyes appearing in his mind for a mere second before everything disappeared.

The suffocating feeling along with the feeling of his mind getting pulled away and the feeling of every inch of his body Burning vanished along with the eyes that had appeared, leaving behind a smooth flow of warm water flowing through his mind and body relaxing everything carrying with it memories and experiences that were fed straight into Erons brain.

Erons Eyes completely shut with the relaxing sensation as his mind that seemed to have healed began processing everything at a near instantaneous speed.

Within a few seconds He felt all of the unneccesary muscles in his body stop working, completely out of any type of energy until the memories stopped and Erons entire Body relaxed as he instantly fell asleep out of any energy to use.
