86. Mission #2

86. Mission #2

To be charismatic was how a ruler makes their people follow them. To have more charisma was to have an image that inspires, and Lilith knew this best.

She went about trying to find a mount she could ride, and after hours of effort, she somehow found herself on Cerberus' back.

'Was I tricked?' This was a first for Lilith.

Lilith asked herself as she walked along with the newly established Lilith Village. Every villager had stopped what they were doing as they watched Lilith parade herself, with Dhampy following closely behind.

The daemons with HNPs were actually sneaking away after taking pictures in secret. When Lilith saw this, she shuddered.

'When did they had the time to learn that?' Lilith wanted to call them out and tell them to stop, but she feared that it might create a bad atmosphere in the Village. But she also didn't want to say to go and take her picture without a problem and affect their morale; she knew how zealous these daemons were, she didn't know what would happen if she ever let them do whatever they want.

It was a chilling thought.

Soon, Lilith reached the newly built [Priestess Temple] built out of wood, where Luna was quietly waiting by the door.

Luna had several female villagers from different races gathered around her with joyful smiles on their faces. The villagers bowed their heads to her as they thanked her for something while holding onto their HNPs. Lilith wanted to listen, but the only thing she got was, "Thank you for doing this, hehehe." Before they turned to startled chicken after getting caught by their Little Priestess.

"The Priestess is here." One of them announced, alarmed at the sight of Lilith. They stood by the wayside as they bowed to greet her.

Putting on her most innocent of smiles, Lilith looked at them, "Thank you for the hard work you put into making the Village better for everyone. Please continue to support the whole Village and the Goddess' will."

The women felt their heart skip a beat and an indescribable intent rose. It was painful trying to keep their instincts at bay, but they did it in consideration for the Priestess' dignity.

They bowed their heads with great fervor, "Thank you, Priestess, we are only doing our jobs."

To receive such words from the Priestess brought them great pride. They left with smiles plastered on their faces.

Watching them like so made Lilith kind of appreciate the effort she put into building this community. It was rare for daemons from different races to get along with one another. But the Villagers were doing their best to survive together as a whole.

'That's good, that's good.' Lilith closed her eyes as she nodded her head.

Kacha! Kacha!

There were two sounds; Lilith lifted her head and saw Luna sneaking a picture.

But that was only one; there was another.

She found the other source soon enough.

With widened eyes, Lilith and Dhampy, who had just taken a picture with the volumes up, locked eyes.

Massaging her eyes, Lilith was flattered but also felt like screaming, "We need to talk…" she just had to say it.

There was no one else inside the Temple. It was a Village Rule that only Lilith could enter inside, and others could only come inside if she was there. Cleaning can also only be done only if Lilith was present.

Two Epic-Tier daemons were kneeling before a child. Cerberus was on the side, sleeping after going along with Lilith's nonsense to increase her non-existent Queenly Charisma. It was bored as it had nothing to do.

No one knew it was a Mythical-Tier daemon as they could only see its level. Only Lilith could see a daemon's Tier; thus, no one suspected a thing.

Daemons could only raise their Race's Tiers by increasing their levels; none could fabricate their Tiers. Cerberus was an exception as it was a Mythical Daemons sent down from the Godly Realm.

Besides, it looked more like a puppy than anything else. It was treated as Lilith's pet, and as it did nothing other than eat and sleep, no one thought otherwise.

Mythical Tier daemons were just like how its name implied, beings of Myth. Beings told at bedtime. Who would think that a three-headed puppy was one such Myth?

"Look here, I don't have a problem with taking pictures, but keep it in moderation as it might hinder everyone's ability to do their tasks. The two of you are my followers; you should set a better example and become figures of respect to others. What would the Villagers say? What would your students think?"

Lilith acted like a true Priestess as she reprimanded the two daemons.

But she did not know that the Pixies and the others would only thank the two for gaining new photos to be added to the circulation.

The two actually wanted to argue and say something, but after having a little flashback when the Village lined up to take Lilith's picture when she collapsed from overworking back in the Forest of Beast…they failed to keep a clean conscience.

"Okay, that is enough… Dhampy, come here. I want to give you something."

Dhampy rose from where she knelt and then approached Lilith. Retrieving a cup from her Inventory, Lilith handed Dhampy a full cup of Divine Wine.

"What is this, Boss?" Dhampy asked.

"That's alcohol to improve your level. Did you not notice the change in the villagers? All of the none-combatants are either Epic-Tiers or at LVL 60. That Wine is the reason. It will help you jump to LVL 60 without any drawbacks. It is a gift from the Goddess."

Dhampy raised her brows with an "oh" and then felt her level go up quickly, "Oh, this good Bo—" Thud*, Dhampy fell asleep from being drunk.

'It seems like no one can last more than three seconds after drinking the Divine Wine. Is it that strong? I don't think it's THAT strong, but who am I to judge? And I failed to explain to her some important bits too…well, she'll probably forget about it, so it's rather good that she fell asleep now.' Lilith thought to herself.

It was a rather nasty fall, but Lilith didn't worry, for Dhampy was resilient. Luna saw Dhampy's intimacy with the floor and then dragged her next to the adorable puppy that was Cerberus.

Luna gave the pupper some quick head pats before going back to Lilith's side, who was already seated in her position.

"So, what do we have for today, Luna?"

Lilith was prepared to begin the day and take care of business. Lilith was already considered the Priestess and Leader of the Entire Village; she was a busy, busy person.

Luna brought out a little piece of beast hide that she had used to write on and then began reciting Lilith's itinerary.

Luna was the one assigned to care for Lilith's appointment with the other Racial Leaders.

"The Priestess has a lot to do today. The Dwarves' representative asks if they can build a Smithy in the Village now that we have settled down. They are also asking if they could go up the Northern Mountains. They wish to see if they can find a Mining area over there."

"Approved, ask two of the Brick Bears to help them in searching the Mountains for Ores. Their keen nose for valuable ores would be a great help. But first, have Aero lead her Scouts and scan the area if there are any major dangers. If there are no problems, have Eve and Dhampy further investigate the area. Only after everything is clear that we shall send them out with Chief and some of the Army."

Lilith valued the Dwarves, for they were the only ones capable of crafting weapons. They were born blacksmiths, and their numbers were already so few. She had plans for them; thus, them dying was not an option.

"I shall inform them that they could proceed as they desire. As for the next thing, the territory had been—"

"Shhhh, Luna, keep your silence for a second."

Lilith had Luna shut up as she looked at the panel before her.

Lilith looked at the bottom of the panel and saw a Rewards list…this was the first time the Main Mission had a reward list like this.
