“What do you mean I will be their leader? I can't be, I don't belong to any of the kingdoms and so I have only a little bit of each magic, I can’t do anything impressive or even useful!” I demanded. Years of anger and frustration at my lack of magic rushed to the forefront of my mind, I thought about all the other kids who used to mock me and tease me for it. I began to cry, “I do not understand, how you can be so cruel to mock me for my lack of magic?” I cried. I felt the Gaurdian’s hand reach out and tilted my chin up to look him in the eyes. “My dear, I would never, joke about such a thing, I am quite serious, you see, indeed, your magic is not very strong but that is because there is something different about you, you weren't meant to have any of the main magics, you were meant for a rare type of magic, light.” All my anger went away in an instant as I began to process what he was saying. “You mean to tell me that my magic is weak because I have magic that supposedly went extinct years ago?” I asked, skeptical. “Not yet you don’t, but once we complete the ceremony you will.” I began to get excited, but then a sudden thought hit me. “I don’t know how to be a leader, so how can I lead a bunch of stuck-up royalty?” Even If I could lead, I doubt they would listen to anyone.” Marcus smiled at me kindly and said, “Just act confident, if you bow to them they will eat you alive, you just got to act like you know how to lead and it work itself out.” I nod. “Okay,” I take a deep breath in and out. “So when do we meet them?” I asked, “Right now.”
