> Quote:She kept staring at the window not believing her eyes. She was seeing something that she only heard. From what she knew only veteran AA rank adventurers, that fought for years have achieved something similar. She was impressed but she didn`t show it.
> When she finally realized that she was staring too much she finally spoke
-„Congratulations. Don`t forget though, that you don’t have experience against different types of weapons and creatures. You will need to fight all sort of enemies and only then you will start being strong”
-„Thank you. I understand what you are saying and i know that i have a long road ahead of me”
-„Will you be remaining in this village for long?”
-„No...i will head out as soon as the one of the suns disappears and the army opens the village doors.”
-„Good. I will leave as well since i finished my mission while you were training.”
-„Where will you go?”
-„The capital. Do you want to join me?”
-„Not sure yet. I will decide when the times comes.”
-„Before leaving you should make sure to learn from someone the Survival skill. And since you have such a good reputation in this village you can probably find someone to teach you other useful skills.”
-„That’s what i planned to do next. Do you know someone good who can teach me the Survival skill?”
-„There aren’t many hunters in the village since they live in the forest but just ask around and you will find one”
-„I see....Well then, no time like the present to begin”
Paul then started looking for someone to teach him. He went first to the inn since that’s the only place where everybody goes. He asked around but no one could teach him what he needed. He walked for a few hours and after asking around he found out that because the hunters knew that the period in which the advent appears the village is locked down so they stayed away. Paul was now disappointed. The skill that every true adventurer needs, he can’t learn it until the village lockdown is over. He then figured that he couldn’t just waste time and headed towards the crafting section of the village. He entered the gate that leads to the crafting section. The gate lead him to the back of the village where there were very few humans. Almost everyone was an elf or dwarf. They didn’t look or talk to each other and just went about their day.
Paul headed to to one of the building but before he could take 3 steps he tripped and fell. He looked back and saw a human that was dressed in ripped clothing. He was very dirty. His hair was brown but from the dirt it looked black. The man noticing that someone was analyzing him smirked and said
-“Would you please help me with some copper?”
Paul even after falling he didn’t get angry. He was used to things happening that he didn’t like. After looking at the man in from of him he noticed that although he looked poor the man had a healthy body and didn’t look sick. He also didn’t smell. Paul found this suspicious and decided to test the man.
-“I will help you if you answer a question.”
-“I understand. Ask.”
-“Were you perhaps a hunter?”
-“Good eyes boy. And i am a hunter.”
-“Would you teach me the survival skill?”
-“I can tell you how you can learn the basics. When you know the basics come back to me and i will teach you some more”
-“How can i learn the basics?”
The old man looked at Paul’s face and saw his eyes which were hungry for knowledge and power. Liking the boys eyes he spoke up
-“Without using a single item you have on you right now and without the help of your friends, survive a week. If you can’t do at least this i can’t teach you.”
-“I’ll do it”
-“Good. Now take these and put them on.”
He handed some old, ripped clothing to Paul. After dressing up Paul started to look more like a beggar. Paul decided that in order to not get recognized, he needs to cover his head and eyes.He did so with an improvised hood. The old man held out his bracelet and Paul did as well. He got a quest. Should he break the rules the man set, he would immediately know since he would get notified that Paul failed the quest. The old man left and entered an alley.
Paul found that this was harder than he initially though. The food was the biggest problem since water he could find in the public wells. No one recognized him, not even the villagers that chased him. He was starting to feel hungry and was tempted to use his coins to buy money but that would mean that he would not learn the skill while the village is in lockdown. He then headed to the village square and started to beg. No one even looked at him. It’s like he was a ghost. After a few hours he only ate an apple that was half eaten and town away.
Paul was disappointed in the humans that smiled and greeted him before and now they were ignoring him. He then headed back to the crafting part of the village. He didn’t had any hopes but he still tried. After 30 minutes an old dwarf, gave him a piece of bread. Paul was feeling more grateful for a piece of bread than he ever was. That day he didn’t receive anything else. When the night came Paul searched for a place to sleep. He found a good place behind a house. The wind didn’t reach him there. We was still hungry but fell asleep.
Paul was sleeping, not feeling the hunger .In the morning he was still sleeping, when all of a sudden was woken up by water hitting his face. It started raining, hard. He hurried to find cover and a fire. He found a place under a tree and noticed that he was feeling cold. He wanted to make a fire but didn’t know how. He looked around and found some dry branches and leafs under the tree next to him. He gathered them together and made a small pile. Now he needed to make fire. He tried using the trick he remembered about using two stones to light a fire. He searched around and found them fast. He tried hitting them together but there was no spark. He looked carefully at the rocks and realized that they were no good. After another half hour he found the rocks and tried again.
As soon as he hit them together a spark flew. He hit them together a few more times and he had a fire. It was small but it will warm him up and dry his clothes. After two hours the fire died. And soon after that the rain stopped. Paul headed out to search for some food. He repeated this process every day. After a week has passed Paul was all dirty and hungry. He looked like a real beggar. He also lost some weight. Paul then searched for the man since he finished the quest. He almost gave up until the man showed next to him smiling.
-“So, how was it”
-“Hard….really hard”
-“Good, that’s good. This means you have learned how precious resources are.”
-“Yes”
-“Good now follow me”
-“Where are we going”
-“You are hungry right?”
-“Very”
They entered a house and in the middle of the house was a table full with food. Paul and the hunter then ate. While eating the hunter shared his knowledge about surviving. After thanking the hunter Paul, changed clothes and checked his bracelet.

He has indeed learned the Survival skill and it was more impressive than he though. He went to the inn and ate some more. And then he went to the shack where he went to sleep. He was feeling truly grateful to Nori who helped him until now, and realized his luck. Tired and full he slowly he fell asleep.
The next day, he headed to the crafting part of the village. It was time to cash in on some favors. He first looked someone to learn tailoring from. He quickly found one and although the owner was an elf, he was still willing to teach Paul the skill. Paul spent the next day learning how to sew, cut, measure, extract materials from creatures. When finally he got notified

He thanked the elf and headed back to the shack to sleep. However before sleeping he got into the habit of using his skill, Memo, to relive the last 24 hours to improve. Every day before sleeping he used this skill a few times, except when he was pretending to be a beggar. Although he learned a lot ,he didn’t enjoy that experience. He never wanted to feel so helpless again.
The next day Nori visited him. They talked for while having breakfast together. And then Paul asked her if she knows who is the better blacksmith in the village.
-“There are 2 blacksmiths in the village. One knows how to make the best weapons, one the best armor. Every blacksmith has a lot of pride and they won’t allow you to learn form another. Especially since they know each other and are considered rivals.”
-“Thanks for the info. I need to go now since i have some planning to do”
Paul smirked as he left.
Paul needed a weapon so he headed to the blacksmith expert on weapons. The blacksmith knew Paul pretty well since Paul did a few quests for him, and accepted to teach him. Paul started then learning about different types of ores, melting them, about molds, how to make different weapons, how to repair them.

The next day after learning some basics, the blacksmith took him down to a basement. The basement was full of all types of rusted weapons. There were hundred of weapons. The dwarf then handed him a hammer, some thongs and pointed to a forge and said.
-“You see all this?”
Stolen novel; please report.
-“Yes”
-“You can use everything that’s in here. What ever you create or fix you can take with you. You are free to come and go from this place as long as you want.”
Paul was shocked. The blacksmith left him feeling proud that he succeeded in shocking Paul.
Paul then took a Limit Pill and started sorting the weapons. There were 5 big piles in the room after he was finished.
A pile of weans too damaged to be repaired, one of short words, one of long heavy swords, one of knifes and daggers and one of weapons he didn’t recognize.
He started with the pile of short swords and started to repair them. Besides eating and the occasional break it took him a whole day to repair the short swords. Because of his low skills some of the swords broke. He trowed them to the first pile.
Then he started to fix the pile of long swords. It took him two days to fix all the long and heavy swords, and again he the one he broke threw them to the first pile.
He then took the pile with the weapons he didn’t recognize and started to repair them. Since he didn’t know the original shape of some of the weapons he took those and grew them to the first pile. It took him another day to fix those weapons. After fixing them he threw all of them to the first pile.
He then looked at the first pile that reached the sealing and over 50% of the room. Seeing so much material he was getting more and more motivated to create himself a good weapon. He then repaired all the knives and daggers. This time very few broke while he tried to repair them.
He looked at the daggers to see if there are some that are decent. After identifying all of them he found 2 daggers that were decent. The rest he threw them on the pile.
Old rusty dagger. It was never used.

He then looked at his repair skill and was satisfied.

He had 2 days left until he needed to sleep. It took him a half a day to melt all the items and all the iron was in the shape of cubes. He put all the cubes in the corner of the room. After finishing it he was feeling satisfied seeing the all the cubes of iron.
Seeing that his skills in creating weapons were lacking he decided to use some of the cubes to create normal swords to get used to it. After using up 50 cubes he crafted 50 swords. Then looked at his skill.

Feeling a bit more confident he started creating daggers. The simplest one he could. Once he got used to it he started changing the shape of the daggers a bit, making them all different.
After using another 50 cubes he created in total 100 daggers and he still had 150 cubes left.
He started making daggers that were more and more impressive. On the last day after using up all the iron cubes on crafting daggers, he started melting everything he crafted, even the daggers that he put aside. He now had 250 cubes of iron in front of him.
Noticing after all this that the hotter the fire and purest the metal the stronger the weapons is. He increased the size and strength of the fire by 100% . He couldn’t raise it higher because it was too hot. He then started to refine the metal. Out of the 250 cubes, after refining a few times he got 50 cubes of metal. The metal was such a high quality that if the blacksmith saw this he wouldn’t allow Paul to take them with him. Paul put all the iron cubes in the ring exempt for one.
Paul used one cube to craft a pair of daggers. Using all his skill as a blacksmith and focus he crafted something he felt truly proud of. A pair of identical daggers.

Paul put the daggers in the ring and remembered he was now in danger since he needed to fall asleep as soon as possible. Paul ran out of the basement surprising the blacksmith who though that he has left already. He was surprised to see him empty handed. He though that at least he would take some swords with him.
Paul was running like the wind and upon reaching the shack as soon as he entered he jumped on the bed and used Memo to review the last 24 hours, more importantly the part where he created the daggers. For the next 24 hours he was sleeping as usual, not realizing that the blacksmith was standing on his knees in the basement looking at an empty room. He though someone robbed him since he didn’t see Paul carry any items with him.
The next day, after woking up he headed to the other blacksmith specialized in armor. After talking to Paul he found out that he learned how to make weapons from one of his rivals.
-“I won’t share my knowledge with my enemies apprentice”
-“Really? So he was right.”
-“Huh? Who was right”
-“The one you call enemy”
-“What did he say about me?! More lies i assume!”
-“No,no it’s just that he was joking that he succeeded in teaching me the basics in one day. He was laughing saying that you could have never succeed in teaching me in a day the basics if armor making.”
-“What?! Get over here!”
Paul successfully tricked him into teaching him how to make armors. He learned that making armors also needed knowing a bit the tailoring skills. He improved 2 skills in 24 hours. He was feeling proud.
-“See! I though you even faster than that old man right?!”
-“Yes…I’m impressed in your skills. You truly are a great blacksmith”
Paul smirked as he left. The blacksmith didn’t realize he was tricked. Paul went to bed since it was late and as always reviewed the day before.
And before falling asleep he checked his stats and skills:

Seeing that his stats kept growing and skills kept accumulating, he was proud of himself. Then he noticed. Some of his skills level didn’t increase at all. They were at the same point just like when he checked last time. He was a bit worried and decided that, first thing tomorrow he needs to talk to Nori and see if she knows something about it.
