POV: MC
The demon, dragon and undead that I created before come out of the forestry, each stepping over the unconscious captain. The dragon steps forward and introduces himself with an over the top bow.
“Father I wish to introduce myself. I am a member of the dragon race and was created alongside eldest and youngest brother. I am in awe of the sight of your gracious self and am pleased to make your acquaintance.”
Wow… This one is so uptight…
“You can speak and act more loose when talking to me. That of course naturally extends to the two of you as well.”
Having someone who considered me their father talk to me in such a formal manner felt weird and out of place.
“With all due respect father, I cannot fulfill that desire. Acting anything less would be an insult to our creator.”
A strange but resolute resolve could clearly be seen in the eyes of my creation, and no words that could dissuade him came to mind. Deciding to put this off onto later, I turn to face the real problem here.
Rose was still chasing around the dragon from before. Large indents in the grass were left from both parties jumping around faster than the human eye could see, and many trees were left uprooted and tossed aside, overall leaving the impression that a hurricane had passed through here.
“Rose, could you please stop chasing around that young mistress. She says that it is most troublesome.”
“Wait, can you understand what this dragon is saying?”
“Well of course father! I couldn’t quite consider myself a dragon if I couldn’t understand my brethren and sistren could I?”

“Can you ask her about what led to the happening of all this?”
With a succinct nod, my middle son started to converse with the dragon. I think he did anyway. From an outsider's point of vision, it sounded uncannily like two dogs scoping each other out. Low growls and screeches were exchanged between the two for a full 20 minutes, until the conversation came to a stop.
“Father, allow me to explain Olivia’s situation…”
POV: Olivia
The repeated sound of a dripping soothed me. My body laid wrapped around my egg, and only the occasional scuttering of a small creature marked any sign of life besides our own. Nothing really bothered us, but the thoughts of what my baby could grow up to be kept me entertained for days on end. A small chuckle escaped my lips as I imagined my child one day doing exactly as I am currently, which made the other lifeforms dart off in a hurry.
My nose and ears prickled. The mossy stone walls of the cave we resided in echoed noises well, and with my sharp hearing, it allowed me to detect whenever any intruders trespassed onto my territory.
What are these insolent humans doing this time…
All of my previous experiences with humanity had not been good. All of them are selfish, manipulative and so full of themselves. Granted I’m pretty young and only have 300 years of experience under my belt, but the way that the humans I have met conducted themselves really got under my skin. Placing and gripping the egg tightly within a gap in my scales, I make my way towards the intruders.
Once I’ve arrived, I confront the intruders. There’s a good number of them, but a single good roar should be enough to scare them off. I spread my wings, showing off an impressive wingspan and my jaws snap open, a roar loud enough to pop a human’s eardrums reverberating through the air.
Ooo… That might’ve been the best one I’ve done in years...
Feeling impressed with myself, my lips extend into a large grin. A sharp pain extends from my rib cage however and when I tilt my head down, I see a spear stabbed shallow between the scales on my chest. With a roar of anger, I push out the spear by tensing the surrounding muscles and jump back a few metres. A numbing sensation spreads around my whole body.
I’ve been poisoned… Judging by the effect it’s having on me, it’s got to be at least on the level of basilisk venom. I was too careless...
My muscles begin to loosen as the poison runs through my veins at an astounding speed. Dragons sported huge bodies with remarkable healing, but it came at the cost of a heightened blood flow, which was severely detrimental in cases of poison.
Although the poison was strong, it wasn’t strong enough to incapacitate me. I throw myself into the intruders and began using everything at my disposal. My claws dig deep into their bodies, my tail sends them hurling and my jaws snap their spines. Many fall before me, but eventually a bearded man who looks to be the leader of the group yells out a command.
A large intricate magic circle forms underneath us and looking up I see a mage chanting an incantation. Upon further inspection, I see that my child is in the hands of the intruders. They must’ve gotten their hands on it while I was fighting… Entering a state of full blown panic, I move as fast as possible with my impaired body towards the magician but I don’t make it in time. The spell is completed, and everyone disappears as the space around me distorts.
Not giving up however, I imprint the bearded man and the magician’s mana signatures to memory and begin to follow them, a mixture of determination and desperation pushing me forward.
