First off, I live in California but I'm fine. The fires have been close enough to be stressful, but not dangerous to me specifically. Something which I hope continues to be true for myself and my extended family.

Now, on to the unfortunate bits. My situation being what it is I have had to get a second job rather than continuing to do gig work because it was destroying my car and honestly not making me much money. So I'm looking at a 70ish hour schedule atm and for the foreseeable future. I honestly don't know how well I'm going to cope with this on top of the change to my living situation that's about to take place. I haven't been able to get a room rental or find an affordable studio apartment. I'm going to be staying in a hostel that allows monthly leasing. I was honestly lucky that my brother needed a bit more time to find a place, or this would have been happening at the end of December instead of now.

As such, I'm just going to bluntly say that I probably won't be writing much if at all this year. I feel like I'm going to be too stressed out. I won't be placing the story on hiatus however as I'd like to be able to publish if I do find some spare time, however sporadically, without having to change its status.
