"You're a wizard, Mr. Dale," Professor McGonagall says as she looked at me with her particularly bright eyes.
"It seems so. So what do I do now?" I reply eagerly. ~I mean, who wouldn't be?~
"You're accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. You are a muggle-born wizard which means you are a first-generation wizard from your bloodline. As such, I am to be your guide to your first visit to the wizarding world. Thus, I am responsible to assist you in the purchase of materials and your wand required for your studies at Hogwarts. That is if you accept the invitation," she says as she hands me a letter.

No sooner had I laid my eyes on the letter, I found myself inside my mind. The same void, the same tree albeit a little grown as well as the same floor made of roots. The sphere of light floating right in front of me was the only thing different.
As I inch my hand towards it, the ball of light enters my spiritual body as some of the locked memories unlock and reveal themselves. They share with me the relationship between my mother and her sister, the reason behind Harry's parents' death, and the reason for Harry's unfair treatment. There are still many holes and gaps in the memories but this is enough for me to clear most of my doubts.
Firstly, it seems that I am a character in the Harry Potter books. The correct reaction to this would have been sadness, anger, hopelessness and who knows what else but I don't feel anything else but wonder. ~I wonder if I could go to other worlds as well.~
But most importantly, when I see myself in these memories, I can't help but feel disgusted. I may have completely changed but it was very difficult to see the true version of myself if I had not changed for the better.
I realized other things as well. According to the memories, my mother had always been jealous of Harry's mother for having magic. The very fact that Harry has always been a constant reminder of her sister and my mother's jealousy made her ignore Harry. To distance herself from magic, she also married my father for the sole reason that he was completely ordinary. It was sad to know that my mother married my father for such a stupid reason but I have to learn to live with it.
She must have acknowledged Harry after finding that I had magic. However, in these memories, I am just an ordinary muggle with no magic. I must have gained it after I got the memories of Jack. But, how and why?
It is also very sad to find out that Harry's parents died at the hands of a dark lord. The reason isn't shown in the unlocked part of the memories. But it is very concerning to know that the wizarding world isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Nonetheless, I am thankful that I can know all these things before I truly enter the wizarding world.

I find myself back in the real world in front of Professor McGonagall. Not even a second seems to have passed in the real world. I quickly get a hold of myself as I receive the letter that she has been holding in the air for a while now.
"Does this mean that you accept the invitation, Mr. Dale?" "Yes, I do," I reply in response to the question asked by the professor.
"Excellent. Is it alright if I ask a favor from you?" "Sure, why not." I accept, curious about what she was about to ask of me. "Do you mind waiting for Mr. Potter's Hogwarts letter? You see, I have been terribly busy lately. So, it would be very helpful if you could wait for Mr. Potter to visit the wizarding world together."
"Not at all. I will wait for Harry's letter. It would be more fun this way as well," I reply.
"Thank you very much. I'll get going now. I am glad to know that I can see you at Hogwarts, Mr. Dale. Mrs. Dursley, thank you for raising Mr. Potter. Perhaps, we might meet each other some other day."
"It's okay Professor. Please take proper care of Diddykins and Harry at Hogwarts."
"I will, Mrs. Dursley," as she says that she suddenly vanishes with a pop sound. I and my mother, stand there dumbfounded. I am even more excited now to go to Hogwarts. Maybe one day, I will be able to do what she just did.
I excitedly open my letter forgetting everything else.
