I am a rich girl with white hair done up in a ponytail.
I appear in another dimension along with a large group of others all unique to each other. We all appear in the middle of an empty area of a mediaeval city. The sun is just setting and the place is much cleaner than you would expect, especially with the complete lack of people.
We are split into an unknown number of groups; The Villains and the others that I decide to call The Heroes. This marks the start of a city wide game similar to Town of Salem.
I am assigned to the side of the Villains and the role of Snitch. I am able to mark a spot anywhere within my line of sight and add a simple sentence to it that anyone can see from anywhere in the city.
After we have all read out our respective roles, I claimed to be a Crier and able to alert everyone to a dead body, a vote with a countdown starts. None of us know what the vote is for and so all of us hesitate to point at another person. The countdown was almost up and no one had voted yet so I spoke up and told everyone to point at a bush that’s trimmed to look like a rabbit against one of the buildings. The timer hits zero and a pop up appears above the bush: <
…
We decided by unanimous vote to split up into groups to explore the city. I paired up with a non-Villain girl with long straight black hair. We take a straight path towards the centre of the city and enter a random building we see that piques my interest, a bar.
The front door leads directly into a bar as expected, what was not expected though was that the bar is on the second floor of the building. No one mans the counter and to the left of it stands an open double door that leads into another room in the corner with balconies on two of the walls.
The room houses two single beds in the middle and between them, a set stairs leading down. I place a marker down in the room and set a timer for it to go off later.
We head down the stairs to see where it leads. After a short walk we emerge into an underground tunnel, an abandoned train track. The tracks have been ripped up and the ground flattened solid from foot traffic. Rows of store stands line the walls and small crowds can be seen walking around in the dim light.
One group comes up to us. Getting closer we can see that it’s most of the others from the start. They introduce us to the blackmarket and say there are some pretty cool things we can find. One of them is cut off mid sentence, asking if we want to join them, by my mark going off. Collectively we rush up the stairs.
The room has been changed. The two beds have been pushed against the wall and a puddle of blood sits where my mark is. Standing over the blood is a strong looking knight fellow. Someone asks where the body is and I tell them it must have been moved.
Through one of the balcony areas I see two Evils watching from a balcony on another building. The knight speaks up and informs us that he has sent his son to go make a report. The report will take approximately three days and once it has gone through he will have sufficient authority to summon The Guardian. We have no idea who the knight's son is or what The Guardian is.
…
Later that night I hear a bestial roar in the distance coming from the direction of the square we started in. Moving towards it I see a fellow Evil standing on a lip of the second floor of a building, peeking around the corner and watching something.
I jump up behind them and lean over them, trying to see what they are watching. Off the bat I don’t see anything odd until I notice the movement. Partially hidden by a building I watch the silhouette of a dragon's head and neck rear up, my fascination turns to worry as the dragon moves its head further and the single head looks to split before I realise that it’s actually a hydra.
We drop down onto the ground and carefully move forward until we reach the edge of the building closest to the square. I see two groups of people standing in the middle of the square facing off against each other, the hydra sitting back and only watching. It seems that the Heroes somehow figured out who the Villains are. I join the Villains and set down a marker telling everyone to meet here for the final fight. Just after I set down the marker I am hit with one of the Heroes abilities; Pacify. Pacify locks me out of using my ability but fortunately the marker stays, I just can’t make new ones.
…
It’s not long before everyone is gathered up. The count is seven Heroes versus seven Villains. All the Heroes left are standoffish and overly prideful so I don’t feel any guilt or hesitation over killing them.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
On a soundless starting bell both groups rush towards each other. The battle is mostly made up of one versus one fights until one of the Heroes falls to a razor wire grenade and the victorious Villain joins someone else's fight.
Eventually all the Heroes are whittled down except for a blue haired girl who reveals herself to be a neutral role. After a short discussion we agree to let her live for now. Nothing happened when we won so we look around for anything new. The neutral girl notices a podium with a box atop of it next to the hydra that wasn’t there before and calls it out to us.
Of course I’m the one they nominated to investigate the potentially lethal box, the bastards, so I walk up to it and open the box, everyone crowding in front of the podium, but not too close, waiting to see what I find.
Inside the box I find a black book and a bunch of loose sheets of paper. The hydra next to me merges its heads into a single one and leans itself closer to me. The book opens top to bottom, on the first page is a blurb with most of the text blacked out. A note written below the covered text reads: “It was to prevent something terrible from happening to you.”.
Flipping to the next page I am met with a diary entry. Just before I start reading my eyesight fades away and I see a vision of everyone including me in the real world interacting with each other normally as if nothing happened. I tell the others what I saw and that all the Villains won, the neutral girl pipes up: “Not all evils!”.
I give everyone a choice of either leaving here to go back home or to stay here. Two of the Villains take the option to go back home with no hesitation. The rest deliberate for some time.
To leave this world and return to our own we have to speak the sacred words we used to enter this place. The passphrase is unique to the person as well. I flipped through the book to find their phrases, one of them was ‘Double or nothing.’, mine was ‘All for one and one for all.’.
Everyone agrees to go back home and so I help everyone find their spoken key out of this place. Once everyone is gone and I am the last person left I flip to my page but before I can speak it my vision goes black.
My vision slowly comes back in squares and when the darkness clears I am surprised by a girl standing too close right in front of me. Somehow I instinctively know this girl is the hydra from before just in a different form and will obey my every word. Unbeknownst to me I had become king.
…
My eyes snap open, light temporarily blinding me. Letting my eyes adjust I look around confused on where I am. I am seated at a small table in the middle of a giant auditorium, most of the space is taken up by giant steps going up from a stage at the front to the back, hundreds of other people sit in tables exactly like mine, all focusing on something on their table. Looking down I find an unopened test booklet, to the right of it rests a red button with an ‘X’ on it.
Above the stage on the wall is the word ‘Plaushten’ written with paint. I let out an exclamation of ‘What the fuck?’ and everyone around me turns to look at me with either irritation or comradery. The teacher seated at the front on the stage gives me a stern look and I duck my head slightly.
Looking around again I notice a shock of blue hair a bit far from me and I make a mental note to talk to her later even though I don’t know why, I don’t recognise her in the slightest. I press the red button on my desk and take my leave.
…
I sit down on the floor of a hallway with my arms folded over and resting on my knees, my cheek is bruised and I have a possible black eye. The teacher from before, an old stern lady, stands in front of me silent for a few more seconds before she turns on her feet and strides off back to the auditorium.
I wait near the exit of the hallway but no one is in sight. Two girls come from behind me to say hi and that it’s nice to see me again. I have no idea who these two are and I ask if we’ve ever met before, although they do seem familiar like that blue haired girl from before, but instead of answering they look at me in confusion.
I use this chance to take a good look at them. One is short with puffy pink hair and the other has a good figure and carries an esky on her side.
They get me to follow them outside. Once outside the tall one sets the esky on the ground and opens it. The small fluffy one reaches in and pulls out a white gobstopper and tells me to open my mouth. Once I do she palms it into my mouth and tells me not to swallow as I close my mouth. She then starts grabbing different lollies out of the esky and making something out of them.
As she does that another girl joins us, this one with long black hair, and greets us all. I again feel that off putting familiarity but I am certain we have never met. The tall one tells her that I don’t remember anything. “Really not even me? Your own partner?” she asks with disbelief. “We dated!?” I ask her through the gobstopper. She looks to think for a bit before wholeheartedly confirming that we dated.
The short one tells her that I’m the one who yelled out during the translation portion of the test so that was probably when I returned. I have no idea what she is talking about but the new girl seemingly does.
After a bit more fiddling with the lollies she turns to me and asks me to show her the gobstopper. I open my mouth and she seems happy I didn’t chew or swallow it. She then reaches into my mouth with her hand and pulls the gobstopper out, saliva strings still attached to it, and places it into her own mouth.
I hear the crack of her biting down on it and she pulls out the two halves of the gobstopper. She places it amongst the other lollies and closes the lid of the esky. The tall one then speaks up, “Let’s call the others before we explain everything to her.” and the others agree.
