#15 | Monster School

I am at a school walking towards a doorway flanked by a boy on my left and a girl on the right. The boy wearing the uniform neatly and exactly to the rules, the girl is unobservable.

Entering the room we see a huge crowd of other students gathered around something and off to the side are two featureless medics wheeling a doctor off on a gurney.

The doctor himself looks as if all fluid in his body has completely evaporated, his skin grey, cracking, and flakey. His extremities all folded into themselves and his torso like a crumpled ball of paper.

Pushing through the crowd I come across an operating table stained with purple liquid and next to it, standing around looking lost, is a really tall harpy girl and the interest of everyone else.

For some reason I feel a compulsion to run up and take a swing at her, and that is exactly what I did but I completely whiffed the punch. No one reacts to this and she is escorted away, the two others I came with pulling me away as well.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

As we are leaving, I start humming the theme to ‘The NeverEnding Story’. The boy says he knows that song and tells me his family is going to try to get him expelled because in his old school he got expelled for going for a swing at his little sister.

Meandering along a wide brick pathway we are blocked from going further along by a little centaur girl holding a swirly lollipop.

When we stop she forms an evil grin. Time stops, everything gains a red hue and my view is letterboxed with reddish pink bars like a character intro or a title card from an old movie. The bottom bar has the words “Evil-Family Part 1!” appear on it then things go back to normal. No one notices this, not even me.

She looks straight into the boy's eyes and starts taunting him, and he seems to be incredibly fragile.

Starting to cry he clenches his hands in a white knuckle grip, takes a deep breath in and prepares his retort. Before he can get the first word out I in all my elegant and graceful glory, slide tackle the little centaur girl.
