Ice

Leaf’s Perspective.

I know this is weird since I should be doing Ivy’s perspective but I want to show Leaf’s adventures.

When Leaf awoke the first thing he noticed was that it was cold. Very cold. Then he noticed the ice beyond him, it’s freezing air blowing out toward him. As he slowly regained his sense he saw two blurry blue shapes making loud noises. He realised they were dragons, but not just any dragons, Ice Dragons! They were arguing, every once in a while gesturing to the row of metal bars in front of him. Wait, not in front of him, but around him! He gasped and clawed frantically at the cage around him, but nothing happened until one of the Ice dragons noticed him and threw something into his cage. It spattered on the floor and he saw it was some form of rotting animal. He wrinkled his nose in disgust and scooted away from it. The ice dragon frowned slightly, going back to roaring at the other one.

This is just so you understand what the dragons are saying, Leaf, nor anyone else can understand them except Wren.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Ice Dragon 1 (ID1): SEE! It must be defective, it isn’t even eating.

Ice Dragon 2 (ID2): Well you got a scavenger so don’t complain! Idiot.

Leaf saw one of the dragons lift off the ground and beat it’s powerful wings to head toward the iceland. He thought he could almost see something in the distance. It looked like some sort of caste.

“Might as well try, maybe this dragon can understand humans” Leaf muttered. “HEY DRAGON! HELLO? C-A-N Y-O-U U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D M-E?”

The dragon made a weird face, almost as if it were smiling, but sort of more… malicious.

“Orrgle wriggle roor?” the dragon growled at him curiously.

Leaf sighed, this was getting him nowhere. He got startled as the dragon took out a big key and unlocked his cage and took out the dead thing. He sniffed it and shrugged, then promptly ate it whole. All the while two more dragons had been standing silently behind this one. He barked at them and then they came and lifted his cage up and started to fly upwards. The cage shook furiously in the icy-cold winds and Leaf banged his head on the cage. Before he blacked out he saw the image of some mountains in the far, far distance.
