Chapter 11 or something

Leaf’s Perspective

Leaf could faintly hear the crackling of fire. Slowly, as he awoke he could feel something. It felt...rough. Then as he completely regained his senses he felt he was tied in ropes. And now he could feel a heat. It was a fire! He realised he was covered in ropes and was tied to a tree branch, and a blazing fire was roaring below him!

Leaf was scared as he looked for an escape. Something? Anything! Then a tidal wave of water splashed over him and doused the fire. Something picked him up and gently untied him from the tree. The dragon that had taken him before looked at him, it’s eyes being unreadable but with a faint smidge of sympathy.

Then they both became aware of another dragon, who was rolling on the ground laughing. The first dragon, whose leaf had decided to call Blue, after it’s eyes, dropped Leaf carefully and grunted at the other dragon, who was still laughing.

Leaf slowly looked around, drinking in the sights. He saw now they were near some hot springs, because just a few hundred metres away down the hill he was on he saw them, bubbling and steaming. He also saw these strange dragons were staying in makeshift tents and they had a small fire beyond, in which they were roasting some fish and birds over a spit.

And then, the one with blue eyes talked.

“Hejo hooman” Blue said to Leaf.

His eyes grew wide and he fell down in shock, as the only dragon he knew that knew human language was SKY!?!?

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

“Uhhh Hello?” Leaf stammered out.

“Je onderstunds mah” Blue cried in delight

“Yes I understand you. But HOW DO YOU KNOW HUMAN LANGUAGE” Leaf shrieked.

“Abservation of hoomans” Blue answered.

Sky’s Perspective

Sky felt peaceful. It was so relaxing being high up in the sky, feeling the air brushing his wings gently and the clouds dissolving around him keeping him cool. He smiled since it was so nice.

Too bad Leaf can’t be here. I hope he’s ok. I wonder what Wren will do if he gets hurt?

Sky stopped smiling. “Hey Wren! We’re getting close to where those other two dragons saw Leaf near last. Can you help me try and see for anything” Sky asked Wren.

“Yeah sure!” Wren said in excitement.

Probably since she might be seeing Leaf again.

And as they were landing, a boulder flew through the air and hit Sky right in the chest.

Peril’s Perspective

Peril was lying on her rock ledge in her personal cave, trying out a new fireproof scroll Starflight had made. That was sweet of him but Peril mostly suspected it was because he didn’t want Peril to accidentally set fire to the scrolls, even though she never even goes into the library.

Surprisingly it was actually working, and she was able to read the scroll! Peril was really excited because she had never been able to read before and she was enjoying it immensely. Her thoughts drifted to Clay, who, right now was teaching biology, and was assigning a project where the students had to build a model of a particle, (Wink Wink😉 crossover secret).

Then she thought about that strange dragon and those like 5 scavengers he had with him. For some reason he had seemed really familiar, almost as if she had known him once. He also had an unusually light orange, almost peach scale colour.

She was curious and since she had seen him talking to Clay and the others, she would ask them later. For now since she knew they were teaching she just decided to continue reading, an unsettling feeling nagging in the back of her head at the thought of the strange dragon and for some reason, her mother. Kestrel.
