Narrowing her eyes at her status panel while leaping through the air, Aella let out a sigh as she looked at the two new skills she had. Both looked particularly troublesome, one of which she knew would end up being a problem for her.

Already, Aella didn’t like anything about the skill. From the fact that it called her the most wrathful Naturalis on the planet or the fact that it was the perfect skill for her. Specifically, because she knew it was probably right. She understood the concept, and she wasn’t unaware of her… Interesting thirst for battle. There were many like her, especially ones who were quick with their temper.
While she didn’t get angry at anything or anyone unless it was related to Gods or someone touching her things, the fact that this skill was based on Rage, Adrenaline, and Ecstasy meant the system knew her type well.
Unnerving as it was, she moved on to the next skill of hers.

“If this system is sentient or has some form of conscious operator, I am going to kill them for giving me this so early…”
Even if the apparent problem of Aella having the body of an 8-year-old child wasn’t present, she still wouldn’t want this skill. In her past life, she had to get a quasi-divine-grade artifact made just to completely nullify its effects. Never once has she wanted this skill and that was only reinforced further now.
“Look at the upside…” She continued to mumble to herself, only to realize. “What is the upside?”
Just for good measure, Aella let out a second irritated sigh before she glanced back, making sure she didn’t lose sight of Aetherion. She paced herself so that she could go save the group if anything happened to them.
‘A little less than a kilometer, maybe? Good, I wanna get this over with and clean myself. Even my ears are starting to itch because I haven’t had a bath.’
Making sure to keep pace, Aella made it to the entrance to the boss arena rather quickly. “Giants, huh? Another tribe that went extinct, to my knowledge. How is one here?” She mused to herself.
The residence of the boss was a massive castle on top of a low-hanging cloud with an uncountable number of steps to reach it. Upon her arrival, she noticed a few others who had arrived before her, and a quick scan of her senses showed that more were closing in on the location.
Even without using her [Apprasial] skill, she could tell that everyone here collectively would pose about as much of a threat to her as Canda did. Much like her, those who had arrived prior eyed the little girl down, curious how such a small girl with such a small dragon could possibly have made it all the way to the boss arena alone.
Aella couldn’t care less about their thoughts, even if she could roughly guess them. Ignoring the numerous curious stares, she found a nice tree near the stairway that gave off a decent amount of shade before resting and waiting. She couldn’t make a move on the boss before either her parents or Seraphina showed up anyway.
Not terribly long later, only a dozen minutes later, Slade and Anastasia arrived at the scene with a large group of people, frantically looking around until they saw a familiar little fox girl resting under a tree with her eyes closed. They had been consumed by anxiety ever since Aella had gotten separated from them, and their faces lit up with joy as they spotted her.
“Aella!” her mother exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion.
“They’re here?” Aella mumbled to herself, opening her eyes slowly as if she had just woken up from a nap. “Mama… Papa!” She called out as she got up, running toward them. Stormy curiously looked at the two adults before glancing up at Aella, confused by her actions.
Slade couldn’t hide the tears that welled up in his eyes as he watched their daughter approach draw nearer. “Aella, we were so worried,” he admitted, his voice cracking.
As Aella reached the last few steps to where her parents stood, she couldn’t help but notice their tearful eyes and the sheer relief etched across their faces. It was a powerful moment, one that would be described as heartwarming and emotional. Naturally, Aella maintained the facade of her joy from reuniting with her parents.
“Mama! Papa! You’re safe!” She reiterated as her parents began embracing her.
Anastasia couldn’t help but laugh through her tears. “Oh, darling, you still have the ability to worry about us?”
Chuckling innocently as she pulled away slightly, Aella nodded. “Of course! Neither of you would make it a week without me!”
Her parents exchanged a glance, pride and concern mingling in their eyes, only to be interrupted by a loud and playful Chirp, Stormy crawling atop Aella’s head.
“E-eh. That’s!”
“You’re Dragon? It hatched? Is that how you managed to defeat two minibosses?”
Aella froze briefly at the mention of the elephant in the room, quickly nodding before grabbing Stormy.
“This is Stormy! He’s really powerful!” She cheered.
It was a paper-thin lie, but it’d do for now. If Aella was lucky, they wouldn’t push the situation further.
“Krr!”
Before anyone could continue talking, Stormy once again bit Aella’s hand to free himself before flying away from the group, pulling their attention to the massive dragon that was flying in.
“They’re here! Mama! Papa! They’re the ones who helped me get here!”
With a roar to announce their arrival, Aetherion and his passengers made a landing. Seraphina being quick as ever, dashed at Aella only for the same thing that happened earlier to happen again, giving them both an odd sense of deja vu.
“You’re so mean, Aella! Stop dodging!” Seraphina complained playfully as she waited for her parents to come over.
“No,” Aella responded blankly before turning to her confused parents. “Ah! This is Seraphina! That big guy is Aetherion, and those two over there are Seraphina’s Mama and Papa!”
Anastasia and Blair looked at each other for a solid half-minute before saying anything.
“Blair? You got dragged in too?” Anastasia questioned with surprise. “And to think you met my daughter along the way. Thank you so much for keeping her safe.”
Anastasia rushed over to the blond woman, grabbing and shaking her hands with vigor.
“I cannot express enough how much I owe you for this! I hope she didn’t cause you too many problems!”
‘They know each other?’ Aella thought before her eyes widened slightly. ‘Oh shit, they know each other!’
“Anna… I…”
Before Blair could finish talking, the wind gently passed her face.
“Play along. If you do, I’ll gladly answer any of your questions after we get out of this.” The wind started in Aella’s stead.
Blair looked over at Aella only to see her not moving and nobody else reacting to her words. She was just a little princess who got dirty from playing around in the mud with an innocent smile.
After pondering what to do for the next few moments, Blair subtly nodded in confirmation.
“She wasn’t any trouble at all. She’s such a lovely girl.”
The newly formed clique chated for the next while to rest before they moved forward to tackle the boss. Anastasia, Slade, and Seraphina all stuck to Aella like she’d run away the moment they let go of her.
