CHAPTER 712 WHISTLEBLOWING
The skinny villager with a ferret face roamed over his gaze at Victoria, sighed inside for her fascinating
shape and was inch to be mentally satisfied by taking a few more glances at her.
Victoria had found herself surrounded by lubricious eyesight and slightly frowned. It was the moment
when Maximilian was about to lead Victoria forwards that the villager spoke again, "Beware that
something has not been right recently on the mountain. I personally suggest that you guys should really
hire a guide before going there."
Maximilian neglected his words and quickly led Victoria forwards to the mountain.
The villager found that the man didn't bother to pay him any attention, murmured, "Such two ungrateful
fools. Just go and check it for yourself what is waiting there!"
The others squatted aside laughing, and one of them teased, "The two are definitely going there for
adventure or something else, therefore a guide is totally unnecessary for them. By the way, that lady is
really charming, isn't she?"
"I know what you're talking about, man. She is even much better than the widow in the next village.
Damn, I would do anything if I could spend a night with her." Responded another.
"I feel the same way. Hey, maybe Rohan can figure out a way to catch her, and then … You guys know
what I'm saying."
The villagers then seemed enlightened and turned their faces into those of excitement. They were all
the local ruffians in the village and did nothing but despicable and tricky businesses on a daily basis.
They all thought that it might be a chance for them to rape that lady.
The villager with a ferret face gave a moment of hesitation and said, "Stay calm, you guys, and don't do
anything stupid! You guys know that Rohan is someone who we should never hang with!"
"Shut up and go back home if you dare not to do anything, Pearce! Accidents happen every year and
now is the chance for us to fuck some bitches!"
"Yes! And if we satisfy Rohan, maybe we can even become one of his men and be sitting pretty for the
rest of our lives!"
"Get the hell out of here, Pearce. If you dare to talk to anyone about this, we'll come after you."
The rest of the villagers were all gazing at Pearce with spiteful and threatening eyes, and there was
nothing Pearce could do except stamp his feet and turn his way back to the village.
Looking at the sight of Pearce's back, they all sneered at him, and one of them took out his phone and
dialled someone. After a few talks with the man from the other end of the line, the villagers all stood up
and strode to the mountain.
In the meantime, Pearce was running at full speed in the mountain. Pretending to head his way back to
the village, he in fact picked another zigzag way heading towards Maximilian and Victoria. Though
Pearce did not look so good on his face, he had possessed a rather kind spirit and nice personality
within, which made him bear not to see the couple being caught by Rohan. Therefore, he decided to
catch up with them and warn them.
He ran and climbed over his way, acting just as nimble as a monkey. Finally, he crossed out of the bush
and stepped on the mountain road, panting and finding that Maximilian and Victoria were just in front.
The two were walking slowly along their way for sightseeing. C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
Frightened by the abruptly presented man Pearce, Victoria pushed herself closer to Maximilian and
took his hand tight, only via which could make her feel safe.
"Why did the villager with ferret face come here? What is he going to do?" Victoria asked.
"Don't worry, you have me by your side." Maximilian answered, and went to the man called Pearce.
Taking a few breaths, Pearce said anxiously to them, "Seriously, you guys better leave the mountain
right now! Someone has given a call to Rohan, and he will catch you two if you guys still choose to go
any deeper!"
"Rohan? What is Rohan?" Maximilian chuckled and asked.
"What..? What do you mean by 'what'? Rohan is a man, a cruel and tough man! Wait, there is nothing
different between his act and that of a beast, so 'what' is acceptable to some extent … Wait, I'm here
for something more important!" Pearce shook his head and waved his hand, "Listen to me, it's time for
you to head back to the village, and stop getting any deeper into the mountain. I'm seriously saying this
for your own good!"
Pearce's sincerity touched Maximilian, and raised his interest in the man called Rohan, "Hey, what's
your name? And please tell me something about this man called Rohan."
"They call me Pearce. For Rohan, he is the toughest local depot in the village. He had learned some
Kung-fu in a temple when he was a child, and anyone who was against him had been taken down by
him. All the herbs harvesters nowadays have no choice but hand over the best of their herbs to him
after each round of collection." Pearce continued, "There are dozens of men under his command, and
they have shotguns! Recently, they have sealed off the mountain, and no one knows what they are
working on. Therefore, since he has been informed that someone has stepped into the mountain
without his permission, I suggest that you guys should leave the mountain as soon as possible, or it is
possible that the lady right there would … You know."
Hearing that, Maximilian slightly raised his head and said with a smile, "Thank you for your kind
warning. Sadly, we choose to head on our way, and we will be cautious."
"Damn! Why don't you just listen to me? What a waste of my time and effort! I'm telling you guys: the
men down there are about to get here, and I'm leaving now." Pearce finished his words and fled into
the bush aside. While he said to Maximilian again, "You guys still have the last chance to follow me and
leave the mountain. Make your choice."
Maximilian waved his hand to reject the proposal, and Pearce had no other choice but to leave them
here and go back.
Victoria looked at Maximilian worryingly, "How about we just listen to him and go down the mountain,
Maximilian? We can come again another day."
"Nope, since I seldom have a chance to hang out with you like that, I want to continue our journey until
we are contented." Answered Maximilian.
"But it sounds like Pearce is right. What if trouble really comes to us?" Said Victoria, taking Maximilian's
hand and implying she wanted to go back.
Not until Maximilian was about to say anything, the villagers behind had caught up with them.
"Hey, everyone, hurry up, that bitch is just over there!"
"Shut up and let's see who will be the first catching them!"
