Fool

As the Lexer broke through the ceiling, blocking Murphy's exit, I felt a pang of anger wash into me. I felt anger at the incompetence of this supposed "hero". I calm myself, knowing that if I let my emotions get the best of me, Murphy would suffer the consequences as well as me.

I take a closer look at the Lexer, he seemed to be in his mid 20's. He had a toned, muscular build. He just stood there, cape waving in the wind, glaring at the Inertians. He had a gaudy gold and white body suit on. He even had the overused cliché of a symbol on his chest. Thoughts race through my mind. He has a lightning bolt for his symbol, so he must have lightning powers. Lightning is the supposed most powerful power! We must be saved, even if he did block Murphy's exit.

"I am here to save you, civilians!" The Lexer says this in an obviously fake deep voice. I stare at him trying not to fall into despair because of his srupidity. I see Murphy stand back up, looking confused on what this bright colored, tasteless Lexer could possibly be doing. All the while, the Inertians are closing in onto my position in the middle of the ticket area. The taller green one lets out a growl and the red one with horns responds in a like manner with an equally threatening rumble from it's throat.

The Lexer finally moves from his position, jumping down from his perch on the rubble. This draws the attentions of the Inertians. They both begin to lumber towards the Lexer. As they're approaching the incompetent fool of a Lexer, I realize this would mean they're approaching Murphy as well! The tall green beast approaches the Lexer, and the red one with horns clomps over towards Murphy. The Lexer begins his attack, blasting the green beast with water. My thoughts turn to ones of deep despair at this neandrathal of a hero. He must be an idiot! His symbol is a lightning bolt but he uses water?? Water's also considered the weakest power! We're screwed!

The red Inertian plods to Murphy, and Murphy turns to run. The Lexer's so absorbed in his battle, he ignores Murphy's desperate plight! The red beast corners Murphy. The green Inertian slaps the Lexer aside as if he's nothing but a ragdoll. The green one trods over next to the red one. Murphy stares up at them in desperation. The situation seems hopeless and bleak. My mind races with anything I could possibly do to fix this mess of an evening.

"Hey! Fatties! Over here!" I call out to the Inertian, hoping to turn their attention from Murphy towards me. They don't even seem to norice my yelling and look towards Murphy. The green one raises a fist, and lowers it down with tremendous force onto Murphy.
