Dominic The Great
Ch 7: Carnage

Ch 7: Carnage

"Fuck! Why are these zombies so fast and so strong?" asked an assassin who was fighting a knight and an assassin at the same time.

While the zombies were strong since they were summoned by a 3rd rank necromancer, they were not enough to kill the assassins. Only the zombies who initially made the first surprise attack killed their targets.

Almost every other assassin was killed with the very bolts they used against the knights.

"Damn it. Use fire magic to set these motherfu*kers ablaze." ordered an assassin.

All assassins who had any artifact that produced fire element immediately used it on these zombies.

"Graaaaaghh!!! "

The zombies screamed as they were consumed by the fire from the various artifacts and magic weapons.

Around a 100 assassin had attacked the mid-section; now there were just 18 left. It was not the zombies that killed most of them. It was the crossbow bolts that were secretly flying around by Dominic's telekinesis powers.

But the assassins never got time to warn their comrades about it.

"Quick. Bring them out!"

4 assassins went up to the carriage door.

The carriage door opened. *Creak*

*BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!*

Around 10 assassins close to the carriage instantly died while the rest were injured.

A wounded assassin got up while holding his left abdomen as said "What the f*ck was that!? Who blew up that carriage? How can me kill that bastard now?"

Another assassin went up to the carriage and said "No. They are not dead. There are no bodies in the carriage.

"What!? Ho... How did they... Never mind. Everyone spread. Find them. They were definitely inside. They could not have gotten far." ordered an assassin.

5 mins prior

While the assassins were fighting in a fervent battle, Dominic was carefully moving through the assassins towards the carriage.

He opened the door to a minimum, just allowing his body to get through.

Lady Hilda was shocked to see the door open but was puzzled as to why no one entered.

Dominic deactivated his spell and appeared in front of his mother.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

"Dominic!" lady Hilda jumped to hug her son.

"Mother, we don't have much time. I will get us out of here." said Dominic with resolute in his eyes.

Lady Hilda looked at her son and said "But what can we do? They will see us if we escape"

Dominic made an evil smile and responded "Well, let's just say many of my experiments have been a successful"

Lady Hilda trusted her son even though her motherly side of her emotions said no.

"Alright. What should we do?" agreed and inquired Lady Hilda.

Dominic used his space ring to bring out 2 blue orbs.

"Mana orbs!" exclaimed lady Hilda

Lady Hilda was bewildered as to how her son obtained mana orbs. 2 of them no less.

A mana orb requires an extensive ritual to obtain. Close to ten 4th rank mages are required and take 2 days to make whilst the mages will pour their own mana in the centre of their ritual site and give it a physical form; making a mana orb.

"Well close enough. Mana orbs gives you almost 5000 mana but these orbs give you around 200 mana each. I call these a Kugle.

" I'm going to make us invisible and pass through the enemy. We got to make our way to the back of the convoy....." said Dominic but took a dramatic pause as he used his space ring to bring out a strange large cube. On it were the same mana kugels, metal wires and strange ruins.

Dominic continued with an evil smile "But first, let's leave a little gift for our friends outside."

They slowly opened the carriage door and went out. No one could sense them in the battle field.

As they were almost out the mid-section of the convoy, Dominic stopped his mother with his hand.

"What is it? " Asked lady Hilda.

"We can't go to the back." replied Dominic.

"What? Why?" asked lady Hilda.

"Those guards have not been attacked yet and they have not joined the battle yet. It's like.... They are just blocking anyone from escaping." responded Dominic.

Dominic pulled his mother's hand and said "We will go towards the forest."

Currently the assassins were desperately searching for the two.

One even went to the knights at the back and asked "Hey! You guys saw a wench with a boy come over here?"

The knights looked at each other and one of them replied "No. No one has come to our side yet. What, did you lose them?"

"You 6! Stay here. The rest of you spread out and find them." One of the knights ordered as they formed a large search party.

**

Dominic had stopped their invisibility at the edge of the forest, out of sight of the assassins.

"Hurry!!" shouted Dominic

When they were far enough, Dominic turned to his mother and said "Mother, you will have to go on your own."

As soon as Dominic said this, his mother said "No, either you come with me, or I'm not going."

Dominic made a helpless expression and said "Mother I understand how you feel, but I have to go to father. I will get traps behind us. Get out of the range of their space magic disrupted and get to Arthemor city. I promise you that I will come with Papa"

Lady Hilda was about to be torn down; she did not know what is the right choice from the wrong choice anymore.

She shed tears but said with resolute tone "Alright. I will go. I trust you. I will send help as soon as I can. Now go and save your father. "

Dominic nodded and pointed towards a direction and said "Keep going for around 400 meters more. Then use your space scroll"

"They cannot stop the use of space magic for more than 1 kilometre. Oh, and take this" said Dominic as he handed his mother a necklace with a lightning sign on it and a ring with a bright red gem.

"The necklace will increase your speed up to 45% and the ring will burst out a large breath of flame. You will hopefully not need the ring."

Dominic then stepped away and said "Go!"

Lady Hilda nodded and ran with all her speed.

She was currently running at round 28 kilometres per hour.

Dominic saw her leave and tuned to some of the trees from his space ring got out another strange item. This item had a lot of fine strings.

He attached these metal strings to some of the tree's and said "Alright. This should enough."

He then turned to another direction. Towards the head of the convoy!

"Father, just hold on, I'm coming." Dominic dashed towards the head of the convoy with double the speed of his mother.

Alas; if only he would have reached minutes earlier....
