For a sorcerer to be efficient in manipulating cursed energy, they have to remain impartial to their flux of emotions. Whether it's sadness, or happiness. Joy, or depression. Whichever emotion an event may bring out. They have to completely ignore it and stay true to a stable, constant flow of cursed energy.
If they don't abide by that basic rule, the consequence is a turbulent flow of cursed energy that makes it hard to efficiently use it to exorcise curses.
Poor control over cursed energy also leads to quickly exhausting their reserves. Excitement got the better of me when I fought against the first wave of the Amazon warriors. It was a miracle that I even had a snuff of cursed energy remaining in me.
However, the remaining cursed energy was enough to turn things around when Wonder Woman proved to be a formidable opponent.
In the month I have spent in the shadows of the Paradise Islands, things escalated a lot, pushing me to my limits. Reliance on super attributes alone did not give me the edge to exorcise the Curse that took over Themyscira.
I needed to improve my spirituality and teach myself how to exorcise the Curses tormenting the poor souls of the Amazons. As such, I came up with a plan to strengthen my spirituality by remaining impartial to my emotions.
By narrating the events of my past like I am currently doing, I have to force myself to ignore all those times that I felt excited, or afraid, allowing me to maintain a stable flow of my cursed energy.
(Continued Narration)
Wonder Woman's form was getting blurry as she approached me, faster than I could move. But I remained undeterred.
All I had to do was throw my folded fists around as fast as I could, and maybe, I could stop her attack. In addition to that, I calmly instructed my body to keep a stable stance all the while as I defended.
She came directly towards me with a folded fist guiding a presumably powerful punch that I quickly noticed and threw my fist towards it. Our punches clashed, sending a strong ripple through out the forest.
She quickly pulled back and moved her body to the left side, before leaping to the air while prepping for another punch with her right fist. Her body stretched as she lunged towards me with speed and strength.
I shuffled my legs in preparation as I tilted my body to adjust to her new attack position. I bent my elbow towards my face and put up a strong defense with my hand.
Her punch was aimed at my head, but it landed on my elbow shield, effectively stopping her. The next series of attacks involved her moving all around me as I kept on tilting my body slightly or lifting my hands.
But I never chose to attack her, since she was all geared up and she could move fast while throwing punches.
I became her punching bag as she scattered and punched from all directions, barely giving me enough time to find an opening.
Slowly, she started to exhaust me with her punches. Exhaustion made my strength to start declining the more she hit a part of my body.
Similarly, exhaustion made me slower to defend with my hands. I couldn't move them quickly enough to stop a punch after a while.
Tilting my body to effectively align with her attack position relied on agility. But as my exhaustion increased, my agility decreased and I couldn't align my body fast enough.
She got openings to lay punches at my vitals, causing a subtle deterioration to my health. Eventually, I gave up on trying to use all my attributes and decided to focus on just one.
I took a stable stance with my legs apart and clenched all my muscles. I would at least try to hold out with strength alone until she completed her attack.
She didn't stop. She kept going at it, moving all around me while delivering her blows. The minute she saw that I had given up on following her rapid and random movements, she focused on hitting all the vital areas.
She strengthened her fists and increased the rate of her punches as I took them in. I remained adamant, even as my strength and health deteriorated, hoping she would wear down eventually.
From a distance, one could barely make out the attacker moving around me with speed, strength, and, agility like I had never seen before. Her momentum was at it's peak as she leapt from angle to angle.
Ding!
Was she super changed? Was she ever going to stop?
The blue display of my stats worried me a lot. How long would she keep up that attack? If that kept going on, I didn't know if I could recover. I only had very little cursed energy remaining, and without it, I could not rejuvenate like before.

I had to break her sequence. No matter how random she was in the air and on the ground, she still revolved around the same basic pattern. She kept moving around me, and if I focused for a bit, I could land a hit on her.
Just a small push was enough to break her from her momentum and send her flying away from me.
I focused and traced her movements as she kept on hitting me. Her fists growing fiercer and chunking away at my strength and health at a faster rate as if she was reaching her climax.
I couldn't wait for her to stop. Her climax seemed to align with the complete exhaustion of my strength, which was a path I was not ready to walk towards.
Worry and fear fleeted away as I slowed her motion in my mind's eye. I was willing to use the little cursed energy I had left to increase my speed, agility and strength simultaneously to ensure that I would hit her.
My heart beat slowed down as I remained impartial to my emotions, banking all my hope on that one hit. My flow of cursed energy remained constant and still; stabilized - waiting to be put to action.
On the other hand, she was also preparing for her final blow that she believed would put me down.
I took a deep breath and cleared my thoughts. I let out a small gush of wind as energy flowed to my clenched fist. A purple aura surrounded my right hand, representing all of my remaining cursed energy.
It allowed me to push the attributes of my hand as high as they could reach.
My mind was still replaying her motion slowly as I planned for the right moment to throw my punch. My thoughts were actively plotting the perfect direction I would guide my hand.
Wonder Woman leapt from a punch on my weakening neck an landed on the ground with her quick movements. She gracefully leapt instantly and somersaulted directly above me.
That was a break from her pattern. The opening I had been waiting for.
This was her final blow, aimed for my entire body. She would land a heavy kick that would plummet me into the ground.
She soared high as she stretched her legs to allow for the kick. She ensured that her body was in the right position, so that she could deliver it as well as prevent herself from getting injured from her own might.
Gravity did it's job at pulling her back while adding to her already fast speed and strength. Her stretched, right leg came directly towards my skull as her left leg remained folded towards her pelvis.
My strength and health had already lowered so much from her series of punches. If I allowed for that kick to hit me, there would be no waking up again.
As she plummeted towards me, I raised my clenched fist directly above me, fist to foot against the incoming attack.
They both moved in silence as they closed in on each other, each rivaling the other with it's own unique power. The aftermath of this situation would determine both our fates in our moments of exhaustion.
In my mind, I visualized as the two attacks slowly came to clash. But in reality, their movement was fast, and without a moments notice...
Pooooowwww!!!
My fist punched through her boot to her clenched foot as her foot smashed my fist, sending a tremendous shockwave through my hand that tore apart my folded sleeve.
An enormous disturbance rippled from the clash throughout the forest and the lake, announcing a mighty clash of Titans. Trees swayed violently, some branches broke and leaves shook off as my feet sunk into the soil beneath me.
My spine felt as if it had shattered into pieces as our short union broke off, with each of us falling into opposite directions. It felt as if I had been struck by 300 volts of electricity that left me feeling all woozy, with little desire to be alive.
As my eyes closed, I wondered if they had been detached and fallen into the sockets of my skull. My conscious became a void of darkness from the intense shock as all the lights went out.
Ding!
