“Nice…” Adamu noted, watching Sun Bearer shoot the Radiant Bolts into a large stone and leave behind hand-sized scorching patterns. “Now, let's try a charged one.” Saying it, Adamu let Sun Bearer charge for about thirty seconds before another Radiant Bolt left the speartip.
ZZZzzz PEW BOOM
“Nice, indeed.” Adam voiced out with a smile because now he had a long-range attack at his disposal, even if its power was not that strong without letting it charge for longer periods.
“Time to test the last Enchantment. Light Eater!”
The instant Adamu commanded, and Sun Bearer executed, the pitch-black surface of the spearhead made of Obsidian manifested a dark glow that seemed to swallow almost all Light in Adamu’s vicinity.
Leaving it for a few moments, Adamu nodded before calling out again. “Light Maker!” In the same instant, the Enchantment reversed its function, and all the swallowed Light got expelled to banish all shadows and most probably blind everybody who had stared at the Obsidian spearhead, even Adamu himself as the wielder of Sun Bearer.
Willing for everything to end, Adamu waited for his eyes to retain their vision.
“Will have to be careful of that one.”
Back inside the Sanctuary and back on his little raised earth chair, Adamu considered what to do with the rest of the Obsidian glass that had remained behind.
It was a decent chunk of Obsidian at that. Enough to make himself another spearhead if needed. Still, Adamu had one already, and it would last him for a while if he was careful. No, Adamu’s thoughts settled on making something much smaller, like rings or amulets, as armor was out of the question because Obsidian, while tough, was not in fact as formidable as it seemed because of its fragile nature, hence made a terrible choice for armor.
In truth, this was not the first time he had thought about making a ring or amulet, but the Enchantments that were truly of good use and possible to make with Raw Mana were few in existence.
The two Adamu would have loved to make on a moment's notice were a Ring of Sustainment and a Ring of Prestidigitation. As for the neck version of jewelry, an Amulet of Force Resistance would be quite a thing to have as it would easily stack with the Protection Enchantment on Sun Bearer.
However, no matter how much Adamu desired them, making them out of Obsidian was not even a choice. Perhaps, as the main body that held the true crystalline Core of the Runic Patterns? But that was as far as Adamu could consider, otherwise, it would not be a wise choice at all.
Still, there was one option.
“Oh, well. Won't know the result if I don't try it.” One quick Crystal Cutter Spell later, Adamu held a small ring-sized piece of Obsidian in his hand.
Then a Crystal Shaper Spell and the glas became a true ring.
Examining, nodding, and shrugging his shoulders, Adamu drew on the Raw Mana.
“I, In my Name, Command Thee Obsidian, Be that not which you Are, Be that Which I need You to Be - Crystal Maker.”
As before, Raw Mana flooded the inside of the Obsidian ring in Adamu’s hand.
At the same time, the image generated inside Adamu’s mind through his Spirit. A pattern that defined what Obsidian was in the first place. And it was that pattern that Adamu wanted to change, to straighten up from its seemingly disorganized and random patterned form into a proper hexagonal pattern that defined crystals.
The same instant the picture appeared in his mind, Adamu Spirit felt the shifting begin as the pattern inside the Obsidian ring moved and flexed itself. However, the moment it did, Adamu’s Spirit began to quake from the effort needed to direct something as fundamental as changing the internal pattern of Materia-Elements. And when the Spirit quaked, so did the Mind tremble as its focus was rapidly drained only for the first mistake that occurred to become the catalyst for the next one, and then that one became the catalyst for the next one until, in the end, it became an avalanche of mistakes that was simply impossible to recover from.
In the end, when the burden upon Adamu’s Spirit vanished, the Spell failed, and the ring in his hand disintegrated into dust, just waiting for the next breeze to float it away. In today's case, that breeze was an inhale and exhale of Adamu’s lungs to blow it away.
That done, Adamu began rubbing his temples as a slight headache emerged. “Thought this might happen.” Adamu sighed at the painful reminder that some things just can't be forced, even with Mana at his disposal.”Yes… Some things just can't be skipped without the proper Spellcraft in place to bear the burden of proper Realm Bending Magic.”
Shaking his head, Adamu waited for the ache to go away. Luckily, it would not last long since the Spell hadn't even worked for seconds before the Obsidian ring turned to dust.
That being the case, Adamu quickly made another Obsidian knife before settling the rest of the Obsidian to the side.
Instead, his thoughts settled for something else.
Something much easier to accomplish.
Something meant to allow changes to occur within its core structure instead of the rigid adherence that happened with crystals.

As such, in today's case, Adamu was determined to continue making himself the underwear he deserved, and not even something a caveman would be proud of but underwear that only civilized Men should wear.
It all started the day after the bear/cat Monster got killed.
Specifically, that was when Adamu used the first cleaning and drying Spell on the Monster’s black hide to prevent it from becoming rotten. As such, on the first day, all that he had done was rudimentary work since most of the gained Raw Mana that day was spent on Crystal Growth.
However, even without the Mana, Adamu would have been forced to cease there since making leather was not a process that could be skipped easily, even with Magic involved. Add on top of that the fact it was a Monster’s hide, and the process became even harder even if you added Alchemical solutions to expedite the transformation, especially if you wanted to preserve the natural toughness of Monster hide.
As such, Adamu transforming hide into leather would take days and days.
The second day was the soaking day.
As such, near the edge of the Sanctuary Barrier, Adamu created a basin to fill with water. Lots, and lots of water to put in all the hide he could, and since the hide was heavy, it was a good workout for that day.
A simple Fire Spell warmed the water periodically to ease the coming procedures of cleaning on the third day.
Thus, on the third day, the proper cleaning was started, but not before some stretching. The stretching was easily accomplished with Earth Spells grabbing the sides of the big pieces of hide and pulling from all sides. That way, the cleaning process, called fleshing, was eased even further.
Either way, fleshing was the removal of the underlayers of dermal skin right below the line where soft tissue transformed into hard tissue called hide.
There were multiple ways to do it, with the common one being to scrape away the inner layers of skin. Adamu, on the other hand, had re-applied the Dismantle Spell on the still-growing, at that time, Obsidian knife and simply scraped the remaining flesh from the hide, though the soaking process also helped.
All Adamu had to do was simply place the Obsidian knife and pull slightly to do the job, with the greatest problem emerging from pressing too hard enough.
The fleshing done, Adamu used an Earth spell to upright the stretched-out hide before turning its fleshed side such that the fleshed part pointed to the ground, hence exposing the side with the short black hair to the sun, well… short for a Monster, the size of a house.
That was also when he selected smaller and thinner pieces from which to remove everything, even the Monster's short hair, such that it could be used as underwear and innerwear clothing.
Once the special pieces were done, they too, were left aside for three days as well.
Nevertheless, that day did not end there because Adamu needed soap, so he made himself the cooking utensil with Earth, Water, and Fire Magic before using the big pot to cook water and ash into lye.
A little Alchemical Spell called Minor Element Fusion expedited the process even faster, and the same held true when he threw in Monster bear/cat fat to dissolve and slowly become a general-purpose soap without any of the floral scents to make it pleasant on the nose.
After the soap was completed, another Earth Spell made the container for the soap to slowly harden the normal way since there was no need to use it on the same day. No, in truth, only on the seventh day, which would make that the 23ed since Adamu was born on this Realm, had the day come for the soap to be utilized.
Turning the Monster hide over again and exposing the inner layer to the sun, Adamu prepared the tanning solution using that big pot with lots of water, soap, and tree sap harvested a few days prior.
Only after those were cooking, did Adamu dive into his burrow to bring out the main ingredient, namely bear/cat brain.
Throwing it into the pot, heating everything with Magic, and cooking the ingredients for it, Adamu cast another Minor Element Fusion Spell, the tanning version, of course, and let the ingredients dissolve into an Alchemical liquid that was the main ingredient for turning raw hide into leather.
This was where Magic triumphed again because a simple Water Spell took charge of the Alchemical liquid and brought it before the rawhide, spread it to every inch it could before another Spell allowed Adamu to skip multiple processes by allowing the rawhide the ability to directly absorb the alchemical liquid with such efficiency that the internal changes inside the rawhide were almost instantaneous with the help of Magic.
Additionally, thanks to this, Adamu could preserve the hair side of some of the rawhide designated as outerwear, thus increasing the quality overall.
Still, just in case, Adamu allowed the tanned rawhide to settle for another two days.
Then, on the tenth day, it was time for another soak, which lasted for another two days with the occasional toss and turn.
It was on the twelfth day since the Monster got killed, which made that the 30th day since Adamu had been born on this world, that Adamu finished contemplating his options for the Bloodline Destiny before finally completing Sun Bearer.
As such, that was also the day that he determined to continue the process of making his underwear to no longer be a caveman but a proper civilized Man. Hence, the 30th day was also the day of wringing the rawhide, and goodness, there was a lot of tanned hide to wring, so the leather would keep lots of flexibility.
Still, there was help on the horizon in the form of Magic.
Either way, once the wringing was done, a simple Water Drain Spell, targeting the stored water inside the tanned hide, did the job of drying the brain-tanned hide. Though, since there was a lot of tanned hide to drain and precision was the key, as Adamu could not drain too much nor too little, it had taken multiple Water Drain Spells.
That done, it was time for the brain-tanned hide/leather to be once more sprung up and stretched before the hard part reached Adamu. The softening and fluffing part, where he had to apply muscle power to scrape at the brain-tanned leather with something rather dull to truly transform the brain-tanned leather into actual plain old leather, or as plain as it could get since it came from a Monster.
Considering how much muscle power was needed proportional to how much bear leather there was, Adamu split the task into three days to not intervene with his other more important tasks, namely contemplating on his Methodology and attempting to interact with the Essence in his body.
Once that got done, the Monster leather was completed, for the most part. The only process left was oiling to waterproof the leather, with the degree of waterproofing depending on its purpose, after all, there was no need to waterproof his underwear.
“Still… That is less important when compared to finally covering my nether region.”
Agreeing wholeheartedly with his own assessment, Adamu took the specially prepared thin leather pieces and spread them out before himself to stretch and test the quality of the material for a moment.
Then and only then did he start taking measurements with a small vine around his waist and thighs. Marking everything down, a quick Dismantle Spell on his Obsidian knife, and the cutting process was effortless and precise.
“A shame I don't have any thread and needles, so I have to make everything cumbersome to tie up.”
In the end, the underwear was made and worn before being fastened so nothing slipped up by accident, and he flashed something only meant for women.
“Feels quite good to be a proper civilized Man once again.” Adamu optimistically said. “Now… Where did I store that blood again? Need to enchant them to be softer on my behind.”
