I could feel the energy entering my body as the magical buff Aurora gave me started to take effect. I could see the blood in my arms turn black, and the veins in my arms followed as I felt a surge of strength. I started looking back up at Aurora, and I could tell she was worried for me from the looks she was giving me when I got up. The pain now started subsiding as I walked over and started to move my right hand over her ear, running my hand through her hair; I could feel her soft hair slip through my hands as I wrapped my arm around her neck and held her close. If this was the last time I held her here, I wanted to make it count.
‘: Silvar knew how hard Aurora was trying to stay calm for him; looking around at the fight going on around them, he could tell she was nervous as she shook violently back and forth in his arms as he held her. ‘Aurora was using the full chant he noticed for each spell she cast on him even though there were quicker means through the spells key-words. The keywords would have made the spell less effective and powerful for the caster Aurora, but it would have saved her a lot of time.:’
Glancing over to the noise coming from Edgur and the Special-forces I could see that the fight was slowly starting to go in our favour as Edgur, Vince And Claire took down the massive human soldier in front of them, cutting him down without mercy. Once the man fell, there was a huge thud noise I could hear echo through the forest. Quickly I mentally compared the size of that one man to one of a full-grown Minotaur.
Getting my second wind, I eyed up the same opponent again; at the moment, my pride took over as I started saying to the human Soldier and his lackeys,” I see my men are cleaning your troops up.”
I could see when I finished speaking towards the human soldier; he glanced over and noticed the human bodies of his allies beginning to pile up, turning back quickly to me, he replied,” Ah, I see, Your men? You must be their General then, I assume, and If I can kill you here, then our mission can still be successful, and perhaps your troops will retreat.”
Knowing I ruined Edgur’s plan again, I tried to say towards the man who spoke, but before I could think of a reasonable response, the man I could hear begin to say next, “New target boys, that one there. The Vampire with Silver hair, regroup on me now.” I could see the ugly man now point to the ladies I was with and me. The remaining 9 soldiers I saw quickly regroup on the lead soldier I was fighting earlier; with the Red-Dawn Special forces quickly rallying behind me, I could feel the weight of Edgur’s hand on my shoulder. Then, turning my head ever so slowly, I could hear him say in a disappointing tone to me,” I make a plan...You ignore it...Now, why did you go and announce yourself? Goddammit, Silvar, I can’t protect you and my officers. We have already lost Sandre and Aru.”
I had not noticed the bodies of our fallen comrades when I was fighting earlier. I was too caught up with the enemy forces leader to had seen what happened. I turned to where Edgur was pointing now. Seeing the dead Red-Dawn Special Forces cut down laying there, at that moment, something inside my head triggered. I could feel a burn and hate beginning to fill and overtake me, the same feeling I felt all those years ago. It felt like I could not breathe, and I was suffocating, covering my left eye holding my chest. Unfamiliar darkness overtook me, and the surrounding air around me I could feel starting to become cold as ice as everything started to freeze.
I could feel the ice burn as it began to freeze my hands, forming a white frost, now running up my forearm. This was the same skill the took everything from me all those years ago, my ultimate and unique skill ‘: Icey tundra.:’ An icy dark veil of smoke slowly started overcoming me as I screamed out in pain Edgur jumped back, grabbing Aurora as the area around me froze solid.
‘: Silvar’ had a different look on his face now than from his usual cheery self; as he lowered his hand from his face, he said to Edgur, “Let us end this now; I am sorry for your loss Edgur, I will make them pay for what they did to your students.”:’
Looking at my reflection on the newly formed ice on the forest floor, I could see my pupils were all black, and there was no colour to be seen anywhere in them. The veins in my face were also black; looking into my eyes now was like starring into a never-ending pit of darkness and despair, empty and lifeless my eyes were.
Retracting my blades back into my bracers. Letting out an explosive amount of mana, freezing the area once again around myself, I jumped forward using magic to enhance my legs. As I shot forward, I started leaving a trail of energy and ice behind me. Holding my left hand out, I began yelling in our vampire's tongue, ‘: Icey Tundra:’ skill effect activates, “Freezing touch.”
Then I thrust myself forward into the line of fire without a care for my own life, determined to kill them all with my next move. Springing upwards in an icy dark veil, turning into a mist of bats, I heard all the humans unloaded a barrage of projectiles at me. I could see there were arrows, with a few magical shots in the mix from weaker powered rifles that humans commonly used. I could see all the four ranged units fired at me with everything they had on them. Not stopping, I could hear the odd user yelling out different magic or skill abilities. I paused, reforming and waved my cape around as myself to catch everything. I could hear their captain realizing it was a trap, yell out, “FOOLS, RUN.”
Falling back down onto the ground, I lifted my cloak, raising it high above my head. stretching it out with my hands, I activated my magic and began to chant the full word chant for the spell ‘: Reflect.:’,
”’ My mirror edge reflects everything that I’ve absorbed with my cloak back into my enemies way cause pain suffering like what they wanted to inflict upon me ‘Reflect:.’”
The familiar sight of a circle formed under me as his cape began to flow and flutter in the wind violently; using my illusion magic, I became invisible again. I could see the humans scanning around the area. Like I did earlier before, I reappeared within a few feet of all the Human ranged soldiers on their leader.
Snapping my finger, it echoed. Magical mirrors appeared before them, all powering up with another snap of my finger; they released the magic and arrows back at the four soldiers who fired the spells and projectiles.
I watched as the arrows and all the magical bullets tore through them, killing two of them instantly, leaving giant visible holes in their bodies. The shots ripped through the ranks shattering their magical buffs or the armour they had on, and the arrows could be seen sticking out the men like needles while the magic blew punch-sized holes. The magic I used in ‘: Reflect.:’ was amplified by the ‘: Demonic-Presence.:’ Buff Aurora gave me earlier, it made everything magical deal x2 the damage and cast at x2 speed it was impossible this close to dodge. Without a moment to lose, I ran through the carnage, grabbing one of the Soldiers who survived and who was caught of guard by all the devastation I had just caused. Moving back, ducking his strike activating magic in my fist, I grabbed his wrist, twisting it, making the man drop his sword. I then chanted. ‘: Deaths Icey grip, ‘Freeze.’:.’
A circle formed under both of us as my hair rose and turned white in the light. The light eclipsed both of us with a bright light. Ice began to shoot out; in a moment's flash, he was frozen solid. I threw my fist forward, punching through the solid ice mass, shattering the man into many small pieces.
‘: This was one of the many abilities that stemmed from Silvar’s unique skill, ‘Ice-Tundra.’ He had max Resistance to ice.:.’
Without any time to think or regroup, I saw another man run forward to try and kill me; stepping back when he was close, I kicked the man in the ankle, causing him to drop. Then, facing the soldier whose ankle I just snapped, I kicked him over and over again in the area I had broke. His leg was now starting to form ice crystals on where I had continued to make contact with.
Kicking the man one last time, I picked him up from his throat. That was when Vince came charging in and ran up to the man and me before jumping on his shoulders, forcing me to let go of the man; I could see Vince while firing arrows down into him activated his two skills. ”Master-shot,’ and ‘Piercing-shot”
Each arrow pierced through the man, with one of them shattering the ice crystals that were forming on his throat. Before I saw the final shot went through his skull, killing him.
I could hear the noise of Edgur’s armour while he came rushing overrunning with Claire and the others while Vince remained beside me with his bow drawn. I could see the remaining Red-Dawn Special Forces following closely behind Edgur. But, the last 5 Human soldiers I could tell did not look too worried as the 14 Red-Dawn began to circle them. Standing back with Vince by my side, I watched as our forces began closing in for a strike with the magic casters closely behind the melee users as they began their attack.
The man who was fighting me earlier I saw draw his weapon; underneath the noise of the blade being pulled out of its holster, I could hear him chant,” I am flightless, ‘Motionless strike.’“
The humans I watched then follow his lead with them all saying out loud similar-sounding melee fighting skills. The two groups we watched almost seemed to teleport before us. All we could hear was the noise of metal clashing. I was still gathering myself in the distance; having used a lot of mana, I could not help for a little. Suddenly I could hear the voice of someone who I remembered talking with at the guards building earlier. What followed was a red mist as a body part hit the floor; I could see in the distance one of the humans landed a fatal blow on one of the vampires. Next, I stood there, unable to act. I could do nothing but watch them next kill lesser succubus support by impaling her with their blades as a team. Then, as she cried out, I saw Locust appear out of thin air. Drawing her axes, I stood there and watched her run in, blocking the next strike aimed for another lesser succubus. Then Aurora quickly came running up shaking, trying her best to help her friend, who was probably tired of babysitting her. But it was not her fault.
I could hear Aurora begin to chant, “Form a new skin, magical armour, our gods protect.‘Physical protection tier 2.’“
Then Aurora began glowing in a bright light briefly before casting her spell on Locust. Readying herself, Locust stood in her fighting stance. I knew Locust would be alright, but I could not stomach the thought of Aurora getting hurt here because of my poor judgment. Everything that ever happened to me that was bad was because of my poor judgment. I could feel my heart begin to retract in my chest and hurt. But next, I could hear Aurora begin a barrage of attack spells to create a cloud of smoke for Locust. Chanting now, “Manifest from land-air-sea-fire, ‘Water-Jet.’
I could see the hair of Aurora float as the light from the magic circle shined off her elegant body. I could not help but admire her form. Seeing the water start forming in a disc shape and small other dagger-like objects with compressed water, she fired her magic the minute someone charged for Locust. I could see Aurora begin firing down her magic between Locust and the Human she had countered moments earlier.
When all the water spells hit the ground, it created a huge plume of dust blinding the human. I could tell Locust knew what Aurora was up to as it was many of the basic strategies they used in the past in our tournament games. Locust was prepared to act in the smoke and confusion. Locust threw her weapons up, then I could see after the smoke settled she was holding the human by his wrists, holding him tightly with her heavy gauntlets. I could see the grin as she squeezed, which proceeded to snap all of the bones in his wrist. I could hear an echo, dropping his weapon screaming,” You bitch” kicking him back a bit. I saw Locust's weapons returning from the sky as she reached up and grabbed her axes that were falling. Picking them out of the Air, she cut down in an X strike. I watched the man stumble back before he fell. Dropping to his knee’s looking up at Locust's beautiful body before falling over.
I could see after the man was dead. Locust looked back at Aurora, and I heard her thank her before asking Aurora, “Are you sure? You don’t need to help if you want. You are welcome to hide. But these guys are starting to piss me off, and I am tired of doing nothing.” Aurora, I could hearsay, “I’ll be fine.”
I started looking now at the four remaining men as our side began getting into their fighting stances, I was ready to enter the fight and Vince and I walked over. I could tell Edgur was upset with himself. I knew my cousin, and he was visibly pissed. Before I could ask him what was wrong or anything like that, he started looking down at our fallen personal. Then Edgur began walking over to one of the bodies now bending down. Edgur began running his hand over their face, closing their eyes. It was at that moment Edgur turned to his officers and told them, “Pick up the bodies; once you do that, get back to a safe distance. These 4 Human soldiers were trained very well do not approach that girl. I will not be losing any more of you today here in the forest.”
Claire and Vince understood, regrouping at once and falling back to their fallen comrades. It did not matter who they were, for the Red-Dawn special walked over next towards their foes, picking them up in their arms, their fallen enemies and carried them off the battlefield. The humans I could see out of a sign of respect waited for them to finish, before looking now at the 4 remaining Demon forces, which consisted of Silvar, Edgur, Locust and Aurora, before saying to our group, ”I have heard stories, you Demons are heartless. They are not supposed to care for your fallen, let alone the enemies. Stories tell of your forces leaving the dead where they lay, and your lords look at your people as nothing more than as something to order around. Your nothing more than a bunch of monsters, I hear; I am surprised you showed the fallen any respect.”
Nobody understood the man speaking but me, so I responded for our team and said,” I hear you that is how it was before I took over; I don’t enjoy ordering people around; I actually hate it. As far as showing respect, I think you need a lesson in some manners. Who are you guys? Quit playing around and tell us who sent you.”
The Human responded now, saying,” My name is Jacob, you have earned the right to know my name, Lord of the Vampiric Demon forces. As to who sent me is of no concern.”
I could not help but now begin mentioning what I had heard earlier,” I remember I heard you saying while brutally interrogating your quote on quote traitor something about a council? Am I to assume this is an order from your government.?”
Jacob smiled at me briefly before answering my question, saying,” Sure, let us say some people disagree.” Now drawing his weapon again, restoring the metal with some magic, chanting. ‘: Reforge.:’ Birth a new blade reforge into a new shape or a new size of my design...”
looking over at Edgur, who had a smile himself, I whispered,” Get ready.” I quickly faced looking at Locust and Aurora before saying, ”You girls take on those two, Edgur, and I will take on this ugly ass man and the dude standing beside him.” Aurora and locust looked at each other before I heard them say to each other, ”Right.”
Aurora began to form various magical counters in front of herself and prepared for Locust to act while Edgur and I charged; just as she finished preparing, the two humans ran at Aurora, which caused her to stop her preparations and prepare a counterspell. Edgur grabbing me forced me forward, saying, “Locust won't let any harm come to her,” I saw thankfully Locust appeared out of the shadows of one of the humans tripping him, turning to the second man now under her breath, I saw her mouth the words,’: Motionless-Strike.:.’
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
‘: Time slowed down for Locust as she began to perform her strike. Quickly making her way to the prepared human, they entered her field of anti-magic effect as she and her two opponents began her favourite dance with sparks flying about agile Locust moved. Locust could feel she took a hit from the Human who got up. The strike sliced down her back before she spun and kicked him in the throat. The hit damaged her buff, which was now showing signs of cracking. Now performing a flip, she jumped over the man; as she did so, Locust holstered her weapons mid-air and grabbed the man by his neck and twisted it, snapping his neck on the spot.:’
‘: Aurora,’ Saw the man stumble forward out of the field of the anti-magic effect from Locust. Worried she was in danger, Aurora started blasting him with a low-tier spell puncturing him with many needle-sized holes, realizing he was already dead. She began getting back to her preparations as she started to cast her spell, ‘Magical-barrier.’ This was a spell that allowed the magical caster in her own field of magic to control others, strengthening it or weakening the buffs inside the field how she saw fit. Aurora, now finished, could start to assist whoever needed help with the proper buff or spell with a snap of her finger, turning back to Locust seeing her, in hand 2 hand combat with the man now noticing her buff was running out. Aurora then began to chant the spell, ‘Magical armour,’ refitting her with a new magic skin with a snap of her finger while de-buffing the man she was fighting, removing his magic. Aurora cast her magic. Then she also started applying a new buff spell called ‘: Demonic-Haste.:’ to Locust.:.’
‘: Suddenly, Locust,’ Got a speed increase, her speed was already impressive, to begin with, but with Aurora spell Locusts speed was increased to unimaginable speeds. Slowly, she started to turn the fight she was facing in her favour. With each strike, she landed, chipping away his weapon, shield and armour. Aurora began to notice this and started focusing on how she could help Edgur and Silvar.:.’
With Edgur beside me, I watched as he took the lead and started to engage his target; the soldier was fighting Edgur and putting up a good fight. I could see Edgur was now bleeding a bit from his scarred eye, taking a headbutt while their blades locked, turning to him now saying mid-fight, “You are tough, And well trained. I did not expect this from a human.”
‘: Aurora,’ noticed Edgur bleeding and asked.” Are you okay? You're looking a little fatigued. Don’t move.” Aurora, then inside her magic field, instantly started applying her magical armour buff to Edgur. Edgur afterwards, she saw raise his blade again high and proudly and began to chant a fighting ability skill she recognized from her past, listening to him she heard him chant,” I am true, just and righteous. My blade severs the ties of all existence. ‘Quantum flux slice.’.:.’
‘: Edgur’s blade began to spark with black lightning; the colour around him changed several times as It was almost as if the world its self re-acted to the black lightning and the distortion his fighting skill was causing. This was his ultimate fighting skill unique to him quantum flux slice cut the fabric of space. At this time, the human began to charge, trying not to allow Edgur to release the skill he’s never seen and attack, but it was too late. Edgur drew his blade doing some fancy sword work before cutting an air pocket out. The space he cut instantly had an anomaly begin to appear. Sparks of black lightning began to appear from it. The air he cut became thick and started to spark and manifest all sorts of weird magical things. It was almost as if Edgur cut out a piece of existence from a well-put-together puzzle. Appearing out of thin air, the distortion then formed at the Human soldier. He tried his best to avoid the hit blocking it with his sword, bracing it with an open palm hand for the immediate impact. Edgur heard him chanting a reinforcement spell, but the cut, cut his blade in two. Then moments later, the human soldier began to stop his charge forward slowly. Before falling to his knees and falling apart in front of Edgur, blood began to leak from the pieces. Edgur then flicked his blade clean before putting it away. Now walking over the lifeless, he said a prayer. Then turned and faced the man attacking his friend Locust without any hesitation. He started to charge the enemy.:’
That was when I could hear Aurora began preparing a spell for me in the distance. Just then, the man who called himself Jacob appeared before me, causing me to deploy my hidden blades. Fighting the human Soldier who called himself Jacob. We were in a ruthless fight together off in the distance. I drew him away from the group casting ice bolts and lightning separating us. At the same time, running further away from the group with each spell I cast. But I could see Aurora noticed this and began following after us. I had thought nobody else would get hurt; pivoting now running was pointless if my friends were going to follow me. Bracing for the impact, I faced down the man called Jacob.
Throwing up both my hands up, I started chanting dark magic.“The darkness surrounds us all, ‘Vanta shot’”
Casting multiple dark spheres from my fingertips, I fired them continuously from my hand with a machine gun-like rate of fire, and I unloaded a barrage of dark magic at Soldier Jacob. The man's sword was deflecting the barrage of spells as he continued swinging right and left unphased. He was knocking them all aside effortlessly. Then, knowing he would reach me, I set a trap; while the human was being distracted by the barrage of dark spheres, I fired, saying quietly under my breath,” The lands a minefield, I will set my traps.‘Shadows’ will emerge and stab you in the back.”
Snapping my fingers together, nowcasting multiple hidden magic circles around the field of magic that I now created with his illusion magic. The soldier did not notice what I was up to as he continued to block the assault of dark magic being shot at him by me; mI set my trap.
Once I was forced to stop firing because now the human man named Jacob was right in front of me, attacking me with his sword skills. It was as if he was as fast as light itself chanting,” Our father, cast judgment on this sinner. Send this sinner back to where he came from the depths of hell, ‘: Holy-Light.:’.”
The human opening his fist now blocked my vision with his open palm, a bright light emitted from it, and in that split second, a beam of bright light shot forth. I vanished, reappearing in one of my magic circles. Thankfully I jumped in to avoid this, but as I was doing this, that's when I noticed Aurora running over to help running into the line of fire. Unaware of the incoming spell, it was at this moment I quickly acted. Snapping his fingers together, quietly saying, “Appear.’” Now appearing on one of the magical circles I had cast earlier. I smiled and looked back at Aurora. Seeing she was okay was everything to me. Relieved I was in time right in front of Aurora, time itself slowed down. Aurora Looking up and smiled at me with her warm, soft smile teeth poking through her lower lip. At that moment being slowed, I could see her expression slowly turn from a smile to a worried frown, then a disbelief look as the light I saw grow bigger and bigger in her pupils. Taking my cloak off covering her, I turned around, and time resumed as I was struck with the bright light as the light grew shining around the whole area, killing all of the plant life that came into contact with it. The beam of light hit me right in the chest before a circle appeared under me, and before I could move, the ground burned, and the light exploded and expanded. An unnatural amount of light shot forth from the magic circle into the sky, burning away the trees and destroying the forest ceiling.
‘: At this moment, Locust’ and Edgur’ finished off the other human and noticed the spell holy-light hitting their lord.
‘: Holy light. Holy light caused the target to go into a frenzy as it stripped most of their senses away like the ability of sight, taste and touch everything went dark. The spell also usually caused the targeted individual to lose control and focus, attacking everyone around them. The debuff affected each class of Demon differently. The more purebred the Demon was, the more serious the effect was.:.’
I could feel my sight go first before the pain became unbearable, and I became numb. Then, feeling weightless, I stumbled around as I began to shout out as blood began to drip out from my ears, covering my face in pain; I fell to one knee.
‘: It was at this time Locust said to Edgur, “We need to help him,” as he turned to hold her back, Edgur knowing what happened when Silvar lost control of his magic, told her, “No, we need to get Aurora and run.”
‘: Confused Locust’ quickly ran over to Aurora and picked her up while covering her face with Silvar’s cape as she frantically cried out to her,” Where is Silvar, SILVAR!” Aurora’ was in horror as she moved the cloak from her eyes to only witness Silvar in a beam of light screaming out in pain on his hands and knees as the man Jacob who was standing adjacent to him, was continuing to cast the magic over and over again on him and was beginning to close in on him. Everything was happening so fast she looked over to the battle one last time as the light was now dying down Silvar ripped off my chest's armour, now standing in his white v neck which had been stained with black blood. She could see the magical energy flowing off of him in a menacing dark aura.:.’
Lifting my head, I was left starring lifelessly across at the man who was getting ready, closing in the distance on me with his sword drawn. I could not see anything hear anything feel anything standing in a never-ending hell. I held onto my head, covering my eyes. Voice began filling my head, the only thing I could hear in my hell. They were the only thing I could hear as they began to speak, flooding my head with dark thoughts. “Kill them all; they oppose us. Leave no one alive, kill...KILL...NO ONE IS LEFT, LOOK AROUND THEY ARE ALL DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU, JUST LIKE MOM.” I began to scan around the area as imaginary images began to litter the field. In my mind, all of his friends and comrades were pictured brutally murdered as their deceased bodies laid lifeless. I could see Aurora now lying beside the locust and my cousin, lastly, my mother, frozen in ice on the day of the accident. I could somehow see the human soldier slowed his approach when he began to look around and found himself in a literal imaginary hell I created. At this moment, the ice shattered, and the fading image of his mother left my mind as I started to walk, picking my feet up towards Jacob with even more hate in my eyes. Both of my eyes were black, even more lifeless than before, with black blood running from them. I could see Jacob in my mind then shoot forward; I could now see him move so clearly in my mind and manipulate the field as he walked. I forced the man to stop, turn and duck and lose control of his body. Manipulating the man like a puppet, I chanted the spell, ‘: Despair.:’ Feel my pain, my sorrow, my anger. ‘Despair.’” As a magic circle enveloped the whole field of magic. The human soldier began to shake a little and stop taking a defensive stance, as I felt and saw he would, which was nothing. I imagined I kept walking forward. Chanting more dark magical spells using next. Intimidate.:’. Saying, “Now look into my eyes, Human,”
Jacob tried his best to resist, but it was as if his mind was made up, for his free will was gone now I was his master. Looking into my blank, lifeless eyes from where he stood, I imagined I heard him began to scream in pain, ”AHHHH, WHAT ARE YOU?? HOW CAN YOU STAND TO LOOK AT YOURSELF.”
Completely demoralized, Jacob began to chant a spell,” My god is just I will find protection in his light, ‘Divine protection.” He slowly started to regain his courage as light formed a magical barrier around him, but the shadows continued to surround the field, and my magic snuffed out his light like a lonely flame in the wind. Continuing forward with my lifeless walk. I stopped tilting my head to the side, flicking my arms forward deploying the hidden blades. I used the skill ‘: Shadow-Blade.:”’ Darkness’ swallow the light and feed on it. God will not save you from me.”
Shaking nervously, I could see him scared in my mind as my dark smoke began to flood the field with a looming mist appearing at his ankles. Worried when the zombie of a man disappeared, he began yelling, “Cast light.” The light hurt, a magical circle began to form on his right hand to shine through the shadows, but as it began to activate and shine, I felt the light burn me. It scarred me, unable to contain my anger any longer; I emerged from a different patch of smoke, cutting his right arm clean off. Jacob screamed as more fear began to consume him, unable to think I could hear his thoughts, wishes, and desires. Slowly the man was coming in and out of consciousness, barely seeing as I walked over towards him. I followed the cries of the man's subconscious. I followed it to the source till I felt his life before mine. Reaching down to where I felt the source was, I violently grabbed him by the throat before snapping his neck and feeding on him. ‘: Jacobs eyes rolled back, as the little life he had left was being sucked away from him.:.’
Now throwing the man high up into the air as I screamed out ‘: Demonic-Flames:’ The flames that consumed me incinerated everything around myself within 6 metres, including the human in the air. Ashes began to fall from the sky, I still could not see, but slowly, I began to hear a ringing noise as reality came back slowly. I felt the fresh blood course through my veins as I could feel the energy that came with feeding on someone alive till they died. Screaming and crying in anger and pain. Turning my attention now to the Human woman lying on the grass, all I wanted to do was eat. At this time, I could hear the voice of someone familiar as I could feel them step into the field of magic. I could hear the voice telling strangers,” Do not enter this field of magic. For it is potent, and you may regret it. I will try and talk to him and try to calm him down before he hurts the human woman and regrets his actions. You are all welcome to try and help him. It could prove to help.”
I could feel the presence of someone I knew as I felt them now began to walk over and approach me slowly. The voices in my head started to speak again, causing me to freak out. I could hear them telling me now, “Spare no one, not even the girl. She's one of them.”
Almost feeling like they were controlling me, I began to cry as I could imagine myself drawing my gun on the girl. But before I could pull the trigger, I could hear the voice of someone I knew yell at me, snapping me out of it temporarily.”HEY SILVAR. OVER HERE”
I paused and turned to face the person, whoever they were addressing me. Still not able to recognize who it was. I continued to listen as they tried to try to talk to me. I felt my body move on its own as I slowly started walking over with my gun drawn, and on the other hand, I deployed my hidden blade down. I could feel the flames heat up while engulfed in the ‘: Demonic-Flames.:’ I could feel the familiar presence slowly begin to walk towards me.
Then I felt my body pick up, acting on impulse. ‘: Edgur’ braced for the immediate impact with Silvar retracting his blades, he noticed he came running towards him, but to his shock, he did not slow down, now in a full sprint before jumping up with a flying knee at him. Edgur being a lot stronger, was easily able to block it, throwing his knee back down and punching him in the gut. Then following up with an elbow down over his back, connecting directly in the center of Silvar’s back, he sent him flying down into the earth.
Edgur began to notice Silvar twirling his legs around and about and did a spinning kick, kicking out his legs as he tripped and fell. Then he saw a leg fly over his line of sight with a physical spell enchantment called ‘Physical boost’ Silvar used quite frequently to substitute his lack of strength. Edgur moved quickly out of the way as Silvar brought down his heel back down, activating the spell physical boost creating a hole in the forest's floor. But as he rolled over, he noticed Silvar was now standing above him with another magical circle appearing on his leg, and as he brought it down onto Edgur, it cracked and dented his chest plate. As the Vampires and succubus watched on in disbelief they were even fighting, Edgur turned to them when Silvar landed a blow, and Edgur held out his hand. They could tell that hit hurt Edgur as he got up, holding his chest and trying to regain his breath before saying it to the crazed lord. “Silv, stop this; it is me, Edgur.” Silvar then stopped for a moment with tears running down his eyes. They were still black and lifeless. Then, pausing looking around, the images in his mind began to change. Now Edgur was a young man again standing across from him, and they were in the castle halls. Broken glass and ice were everywhere over the windows covering the columns.
‘: Aurora quickly realized what room this was and where Silvar and Edgur were in his head. They were in the Lord's throne room in the capital at the castle of Vaporic, but why did it seem different. However, she quickly noticed the family portrait that no longer hung above his throne. There were other small things that the throne room also removed, there was more lighting, and it was clearly some time ago as various vases and other plant life was seen to be frozen solid. Aurora could see both of them were young again, if only for the time being while inside the illusion he cast.:.’
‘: Edgur’ looking around paused, then he briefly looked towards Silvar and told him,” Hey Silv, calm down, don’t worry, we just need you to snap out of it. You were hit with a holy light, do you remember, Aurora and Locust are safe. Then Silvar paused and asked him,” what about my mother? Did she make it out...?”
Edgur paused again, looking around, thinking to himself, ‘: Why did it have to be this day out of every day.:’ Answering the question now, he said.” No, she saved you from your experiment into the magical Astros-field. I am sorry, Silvar. I Should have stopped you from attempting it.”
Just like that, I snapped out of it, and everything returned to normal I could feel the surge of energy fade from my body as I no longer could for the life of me stand. As I fell onto the floor, I could not help but begin crying, remembering everything that happened to me came flooding back all at once; the magical field I created with my mana slowly began to crack as the illusions faded away one by one. I could hear Edgur walking over, but it was not at his normal pace, I could tell; looking over to him, I could see whatever I did had hurt him. I decided to give him some space. When I rolled over, I could not help but notice the human woman was sitting up and looking over at the two of us. I thought ‘: Did she see our fight?:.’
She slowly started crawling over to where I was. I was unable to move or say anything at this point. I was trying to recover from everything I had done just now mentally. Not really know what was going on and who she was. But I could see she shared the same look of pain in her eyes as I did, and she lifted my head and placed it on her lap. She did not look threatening or was doing anything suspicious other than looking at me while Edgur called over someone to look at me. All this woman did was sit there beside me and kept me company, looking into my hurt eyes with hers. Our eyes locked as I tried to gather myself a little before wiping the tears from my eyes. Slowly I could see from the reflection of the moonlight of her eyes my eyes were returning to green. The woman in front of me was a small human lady who, if he had to guess, was no older than 18. The woman with tears in her own eyes looked down into my green eyes. Before wiping her own tears, I could hear her saying,
“We need to talk about Haven. I am sorry for everything that has happened here today and all the pain I have caused you. You have every reason to be angry with me. But please let me explain what is happening; I need your province's help.”
I could barely focus with the newly forming headache and the other pain I felt; confused about why we were even here, I just laid there with my head down on her lap, and when I closed my eyes, I could not help but start commenting on how wonderful she smelt before slowly passing out in her lap.
