Landing lightly on a high branch at the edge of the treeline surrounding Gresit, Juniper crouches and raises a hand to block the sun while squinting at the figure in the distance now making its way to the shit pipe of the city.
"Yeah, definitely our last Belmont on the hunt for breakfast. Nice timing, this means that I'm around the second episode of the show right now." Scratching her mandibles with another hand, the moth thinks about what to do.
'There isn't a whole lot in terms of interesting plot going on in this world. Hell, the intrigue going on in Dracula's castle takes up more screen time than what the trio is doing for the first two seasons.' Sitting down on the branch, Juniper lowers her arms and begins to think.
'I could go in there and kill the three protagonists right now. My original counterpart has already proven that MCs in the infinite worlds are not plot protected and can be killed. So, it is a valid option.' Closing her eyes and humming to herself, the moth comes to a decision.
'I'm gonna leave the two soon to be lovers and third wheel be for now. Instead, I will move to the broken capital and get my hands on the big transmission mirror and royal treasures hidden in that underground sanctuary. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out how the mirror works with the help of my skill. And with it I can travel wherever I want instantly, so it will be easy to get my hands on that particular juicy mind magic from that old coot in his tower.' Grin spreading across her face, Juniper stands back up and takes off into the sky, moving towards the once grand capital city of Walachia, before it got burned down by the angry widower.
The flight to the city of Targoviste was uneventful.
Thanks to the map she encountered no navigational problems and even took a short detour that ended in the death of a good 70 villagers and her inventory being filled with random crap she stuffed in there.
Targoviste has been a great city before Dracula started his campaign in its very walls. The rulers of course did not survive that event, but a bunch of royal guards under the leadership of a woman that is under the illusion that her king and queen will be able to revive with their royal powers, have made a shelter underground in the many sewer passages.
In that shelter lies the moth's target, as well as a large part of the royal treasury.
Arriving over the ruinous city under the cover of the night after a full day's worth of travel, Juniper smiles down at the few unsuspecting people that dared to move about at this hour.
"Kekekekeke~ time for a bit of rat hunting" She crackles and descends to the ground before flaring her observation haki to sniff out her prey.
Already knowing about their vague location, she made sure to focus her attention underground. Like that she quickly found all the living things hiding in the extensive sewer system.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
A short search led the moth to a sewer entrance bared by grey and rusty iron bars.
Bending the metal bars that block entry into the sewage apart with her four arms, Juniper disappears into the darkness of the subterranean labyrinth.
Darting down the passages, she quietly bounces across the ground, leaving claw marks behind where they dug into the stone for solid grip.
Manoeuvring through the many branching paths that lead her ever closer to the few stationary people hiding down here, the moth suddenly chuckles.
"Hehehe I feel like some kind of horror monster homing in on the shelter where the main cast is hiding out." Getting in the mood for some silly stuff, Juniper bends her knees a little more and then jumps up where she digs a claw into the roof and uses it to realign her body.
A few moments later the moth is erratically bouncing around the walls, roof and ground while laughing loudly and mandibles clacking from excitement.
Having a great time living out her inner horror monster and bug behaviour, she finally arrives in front of the hidden passage leading into the shelter.
Retracting both of her right hands that she balled into fists and coated with haki, she punches forward, blasting through the heavy stone that made up the hidden door in front of her.
*CRAAAAAASHHHH!*
Exploding into a shower of dust and debris, the hidden door shattered under the demon moth's strength and one of the guards behind it was unlucky, or maybe, lucky enough to have his skull smashed in by one of these randomly flying rubble pieces.
Grinning widely, she jumps into the dust cloud and grabs hold of the remaining guards head while collecting the soul of the deceased one in passing.
Guard in hand, the moth moves to the wooden double door separating her and the rest of the shelter.
Raising a leg, she kicks open the door and throws the guy in her hand at the nearest person.
"AAAAAAAAAA-!!!!"
"AAAA-!!!!"
*SPLAT!*
The screams of both, the projectile and target, meld into a single sound of horror before the two sources turn into a combined mess on one of the pillars doting the large underground expanse.
"KEKEKAKAKAKAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Breaking out into demonic laughter as she gets into the mood for what is soon to follow, Juniper reaches out with all four of her arms and clenches her hands.
*Whoosh*
All minor light sources went out at once under the moth's psychokinetic grasp, plunging the surroundings into darkness with the only exception being three campfires with pots hanging over them.
This broke the people out of their shock from witnessing two persons being turned into paint on a pillar by some strange insect person with dried blood splattered all across her body.
Screams and shouts fill the now much darker shelter as panic sets in and the people hastily fled to the only three remaining light sources, all the while hearing Juniper's laughter in the background.
"Calm down! Grab a piece of wood from the fire and use it as a torch! Everyone! Keep an eye out for that monster!" Shouts one of the guards, most likely the leader or at least the highest ranked person around.
Stopping her laughter, Juniper, now immersed fully in the mood, grins under the cover of darkness and jumps up, an additional flap of her wings brought her all the way to the high arched roof of the shelter and with her haki reinforced claws she effortlessly kept herself hanging from it.
Swinging herself towards one of the pillars, she lands feet first and kicks off towards another one.
Starting to build momentum, the moth once again bounces around the room much like she did in the sewer passages on the way here.
The sound of claws meeting stone and her occasionally snapping mandibles unnerved the people huddling together around the fires.
Twelve guards with swords and improvised torches paranoidly crane their heads trying to keep up with the demon's movements.
Then… it stopped.
Silence filled the room with the only exception being the sound of flowing water from the small canals filled with holy water, the fearful breathing of the gathered men, women and children, and the crackling of the fire… but no sign of the monster that killed three of them already.
"SHOW YOURSELF MONSTER! WE-"Cracking from the tension, one of the guards shouts into the darkness, only to be abruptly interrupted by a demon moth dropping down on top of him.
Smashing him onto the ground, Juniper grabs hold of both his arms while keeping the head down with another limb of hers.
Then she pulled and he screamed.
Illuminated by the fallen torch, everyone around witnessed how one of their own got…"disarmed".
*BA DUM TSCH!*
His two limbs tore off, spraying fresh blood onto the creature standing on top of him, painting a fresh layer on her already blood covered form and filling everyone's ears with the combined sound of tearing flesh and someone in incredible pain.
