Unbothered by the apparent darkness of the cavern, the horde of little demons, including our moth, squeezed themselves through the opening and begin to run, descending into the earth.
'There should be multiple such tunnels that lead from the hatchery down into the first layer of the abyss.' Turning her head and taking in the sight of a tightly crowded tunnel behind her, the gears in Juniper's mind begin to turn.
'But even then, there are at least five hundred demons following behind. ' Looking back to the front where the rocky corridor twisted and turned downwards, a dangerous glint flashed through the two green orbs surrounded by black that are Juniper's eyes, making them glow eerily.
Pulling up the creation menu and projecting her idea onto a new page, she winced silently when she saw the cost of the items she required for her plan, despite that, Juniper steeled her heart and pressed save.
Watching how her forty so souls fall to a mere two caused great pain in her heart, and she grits her teeth.
'This better works out or I'm going to let out my frustration on some poor sod that crosses my path afterwards.' Banishing the idea of failure to the back of her mind, she instead focuses on how many souls she will get if she succeeds.
Juniper doesn't know how long or far they had travelled but finally she managed to catch a glimpse of red in the distance.
Unable to keep the grin of excitement off her face, she pulls out one of the items that she had prepared.
Once close enough to the red glow, which has turned into a big opening leading into the infernal upper layer of the endless abyss, Juniper throws the round object towards the exit.
The item lands and bounces a couple of times before rolling out of the tunnel and coming to a halt just a bit outside of it.
Repeating the action a few more times, slightly adjusting her aim every time, she covered the area in front of the exit with her projectiles in a spread-out manner.
Giving it her everything, Juniper increases her pace and sprints past the few demons in front of her before taking out her spear.

With a wide swing aimed at their legs, she causes the leading demons to fall over, creating a chain reaction that briefly slows down the front rows, letting the slower ones catch up and increasing the density of the crowd.
Ignoring the roaring, screeching and hissing that her action provoked from her fellow demons, Juniper dashes out of the cavern into the large open space of the upper layer of the abyss and then beyond the fanned-out formation of the spherical objects that she had created.
She just got past the thirty-meter mark when the other demons start to pool out of the opening in a clustered mass.
Grin still in place, she puts away her spear and pulls out another item.
Grey in nature and in the shape of a handle with a red button at the top.
Turning around, meeting the many monstrous eyes head-on, she just chuckles before muttering two words and pressing down on the red button.
"Sayonara bitches."
*BOOOOOM!*
*BOOOM!*
*BOOOOM!*
*BOOOOOOM!*
*BOOOOOM!*
Thundering explosions rang out and their force threw Juniper to the ground.
But that was nothing compared to what they did with the many little demons rushing out of the cavern opening.
Blood, guts and limbs fly out of the large cloud created by the remote explosives that Juniper had triggered.
With ears still ringing and body aching from being hit by the shockwave, Juniper scrambles onto her feet and jogs over to the devastated area littered in debris and gore.
Pulling out the last item she made with her fortyish souls, she flicks it into the air.
The golden coin rapidly spins in the air and at the highest point of its trajectory, it suddenly exudes a powerful attraction force that ignored all physical matter but not the many floating white whisps hanging about.
A large wave of souls rushes at the coin Juniper threw into the air, not only the ones of the demons torn apart by the remote explosives, but also the many that got crushed under the collapsing roof of the tunnel.
Quickly throwing the gathered souls into her system once no new ones arrived, Juniper gave one last look at the coin that dissipated into the air and the devastated surroundings before booking it out of there.
As she ran, a loud throaty laughter escapes her lips and it continued for a while before she finally stopped.
'This was a resounding success! A bit of a shame that the coin was only a one-time use, but otherwise I wouldn't have had enough souls to make things happen.' She thinks while her feet carry the demonic moth across the burning hot ground.
'No matter, with this massive bounty I will be able to get some good stuff right off the bat.' With those thoughts she leaves the scene of her crime behind and disappears into the depths of the upper layer of the abyss.
[Remote Explosives: A spherical object filled with powerful explosive material that can be triggered through the matching remote trigger.]
[Collector Coin: A golden coin that when flipped into the air spins rapidly and attracts the souls in a 100-meter radius. (One time use only)]
[Number of Souls in Possession: 428]
Her travels lead Juniper through a couple of twisted forests, along some lava rivers and then onto a rocky hill with a nice cave at the top.
She didn't stand on ceremony and killed the last inhabitant and claimed it as her own.
Spending two souls on a camouflage tarp to throw over the entrance, Juniper sits down on the cavern ground while releasing a tired sigh of relief.
"*Phew~* What a day. Pretty damn sure that was the most exercise that I had since… EVER! HAHAHA!" Laughing loudly while recollecting all the happenings of the day, she slides down the wall on which she leaned as her eyelids grew heavy with the accumulated exhaustion of her actions since hatching from her egg.
'Tomorrow I will put those souls to good use and then it means back to business. Lots of things to do after all.' Closing her eyes fully, Juniper drifts off to sleep while her mandibles clack together a few times in excitement at the action promised by her future.
