Chapter 9 - Combat Class

Chapter 9 - Combat Class

He was on one side of the room undressing so that he could walk to the bathtub. He entered the bathtub and pressing a small stone embedded in the wall; the water began to fall and run down his body from his hair to his feet. Here he spent some time taking a bath.

Sitting on a towel on the edge of his bed, his magic tablet lit up, and a message appeared. Inducing its magical power, the tablet entered the main screen and opened the message that had arrived.

Pandora: For your outstanding combat demonstration, you will be granted permission to attend combat classes where you will be better developed and prepared to give better support in raids.

Your class schedule was updated so, log in and check when you can start attending such classes.

-We are one. We are Pandora-]

He was surprised by this message, the school saw that he had potential in combat, and maybe they have seen some functionality in his ability. After all, he said he had only used it for technical work, but he didn't know if it could be used in combat.

He looked at his new schedule and noticed that he had classes that day in a few hours.

He used his Tablet to wake him up half an hour before class started, so he laid down and slept for a while.

*Alarm sound

Opening his eyes, he could feel better. His body's energy recovered better if he slept. Maybe it was a characteristic of his wandering.

He took some simple clothes and put them on. he put on black shorts and a loose navy blue T-shirt, last and least, his sandals.

Before leaving, he noticed no one in the room, so he went straight to the classroom. It seemed that Thomas and other classmates had not returned to the room after the incident.

Arriving in the room where the combat class would be held, he noticed many people wearing sports clothes looking at him because of his peculiar clothing.

Ignoring the stares, he walked through the room and was dazzled by its structure. It was a mini coliseum; there were weapons on the walls, from bows, swords, magic guns, spears, knives, and more.

He walked towards a weapon that he liked very much, and few people used. It was a scythe, and this makes his eyes became like a child when he sees candy. You didn't have to look very hard to realize that he loved the weapon in front of him.

Being enchanted with the weapon, he didn't notice when a man approached him from behind. "It's rare to see someone so fascinated with a weapon like this. If you like it, grab it and show me what you can do with it."

Looking back, he could see a middle-aged man. The man had a ponytail and what made him more interested was that this man was also wearing such sloppy clothes like his own.

To give him such permission, he could only deduce that the person speaking is the combat trainer. 'Since I have permission, there is no need to restrict yourself.'

He made his grip near the oz, and with his other hand, he grabbed as low as he could. The man was surprised to see such a grip, this was not the use he had for this weapon, but he wanted to see what the boy was doing.

As if it were part of his body, he began to use the weapon, extending and retracting it; he used a freestyle that allowed him to use it both as a medium and close-range weapon.

Amazed by the maneuverability of the scythe, the man applauded, saying, "What a magnificent demonstration; I have never seen anyone use that weapon in such a way. Who is your master?"

Returning the weapon to its place, he looked at the trainer and replied, "I don't have a trainer. It's my own style."

A smile appeared on the trainer's face. Now he was more excited; for a kid to create such a fighting style, he must have trained like crazy.

This was completely correct; to change his way of life, Zack started to learn different fighting arts in the summer sessions and combined them and changed some aspects.

"You had some flaws in your combat, but I can see the potential. If you want to learn how to perfect them look for me after night here, and I will help you perfect such an art."

He didn't understand why the trainer suddenly showed so much interest in his combat ability, but this was a great opportunity for him.

The class started, and the trainer began to demonstrate advanced combat; seeing this, he was now more confident to take such skills from the trainer and add them to his own.

Halfway through the class, pairs were made to combat and improve effectiveness. People started looking for partners and taking different varieties of weapons.

One girl approached Zack, which surprised him. She was the cause of the trouble in the cafeteria. She looked at him and got into a fighting stance; she didn't even ask to be his sparring partner.

Zack wanted to say something, but he quickly leaned to the left as a fist passed by his face. He put on a serious expression; the other person had higher power than him, so he could only use his eye skill for the time being.

This would also be good training to improve his effectiveness in combining his combat ability with his special ability.

Sending energy to his eyes, he controlled the amount of energy to only use what was necessary.

He received another blow, but this time, she had used a kick. As if his body was one with the air, he stepped backward, moving only his hip and left leg so lightly that the kick only passed 1 cm from his face.

Seeing that the kick passed by his side, he leaned his leg strongly on the ground. He sent a punch towards the face of the girl, who was surprised by Zack's dodge and attack movement but did not flinch; before the fist hit her face, she leaned back while with the same foot that had launched a kick, she launched another, but in reverse causing it to collide with the fist.

The coach watched this fight while eating some popcorn that only the author of the novel would know where the fuck he got it from.

A series of punches impacted one side of the coliseum. It quickly began to get the attention of the other students. This was a really intense level of fighting; none had managed to touch the other. While one side had beautiful and organized techniques, the other side made attacks that seemed casual but managed to connect with the other attacker.

The fight continued, and soon both stopped and looked at each other. The girl looked at him for a moment and then spoke. "You have good moves, but they lack technique; you waste your skills. Consider it a draw...my name...is Chen Mei."

She turned and started to walk away, but Zack spoke to her before she left the room. "You talk too much. To be a good fighter, you don't need to make such fancy attacks; a demonstration is how even though you fought with my "skill without technique," you couldn't connect a hit on me."

When she heard the last line, she looked back with withering eyes then walked out of the room feeling humiliated.

'Luckily, she didn't want to keep fighting. I couldn't continue with that expenditure of energy; she is a very powerful opponent. If it wasn't for my skill, I doubt I could have connected a single hit, but this battle helped me see many flaws in my fighting skill. I need to train more, although, for my first one on one battle, it was exciting' Lost in his thoughts, he walked towards the door and left the classroom, this time he headed to the outside of the school, even though he had arrived, to a had not seen this outside world. It was currently night when he stepped outside, and he could see the dark sky full of stars and the great green horizon.
