Chapter 3: The farmer just Had to see through my lie

Edited By: Arthur300000

*Flash Back*

I remember most of the things that I used to enjoy doing before I fell into my addiction to the computer world. Yet of all the many things I used to do, they were all boring unless I put my mind to it.

Things like sports, math, I even had a hobby of typing down stories on this website called Royal Road, Ironic isn't it?

Apart from me having to do my school work and all, I barely even thought about my future career in terms of the choices I made. I just didn't think much about my reason for having to do such things if there wasn't any feeling to it.

Even so, I carried on the empty days of my youth.

"Father?" Among the many parts of my childhood that I do regard as a time in my life where I did feel satisfied, was when my father was around.

"Whats wrong Arvis?" My father was a man of great qualities as I considered them. He was a person I admired and thoroughly respected.

"The other kids at the park won't let me play on the swings." I remembered what had happened when I was a kid during that time. It was around the time my father had still been alive.

With the kids at the park not letting me play I felt lonely, and honestly it wasn't something I usually felt, but my father was always around me when things like this happened.

"I see.. Alright, then here"  I was crying just slightly when my father had suprised me and lifted me up in the air.

"You see this world? Around you, there are people that probably won't agree to your views, but no matter what, fight for what you think is right, even if it means the world sees you as the antagonist"

There were words that I didn't understand, but growing up in the society we lived in explained that to me without the memories of my father.

It just makes me think about why people have their own opinions when no one cares about it.

The person that I will never forget... Is you... Father.

*Flashback end*

?"....Hey....ke up.." I felt a bit groggy as I heard a voice.

My eyes felt heavy as I tried to open them up slowly.

"...Wake up!"

Out of nowhere the voice resounded in my ear so much that it shook me, making me fall to the floor. I had fallen in the bed that I was in.

"There's breakfast for you on the table now that you're awake, after you've finished eating come to me, got it!?" After telling me what to do I recalled what happened last night.

Yesterday around the time I met the farmer that gave me a ride on that shit-filled horse-drawn carriage, as you already know, I had lied to him. Since he saw through that lie, I didn't restrain from telling him about the current situation that I found myself in after falling into the water.

After hearing that I had met a god, and the aftermath leading up to the second I met the farmer and his carriage, he offered me a place to stay for as long as I want, and in return I would help him.

Without much thinking, I quickly accepted his proposal, and last night me and him were having a conversation. It wasn't complicated, but what we were talking about and how he had treated me reminded me of my father.

Why I dreamed about that moment though, I have no idea.

So following up on my promise, I will have to help this farmer out until I understand the way this world works.

In our little conversation yesterday, he told me that there's a small town following up the path the passes through a bridge, and there I'll most likely get the information I want.

So with little to do here, I plan on helping this man in the afternoon when I return from the village. Apart from that, what kind of fucking breakfast is this?

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

After I got up and put on my white T-shirt, and yes I slept without a T-shirt this time because I was sweating last night. Anyways, I got up, put on my shirt, and headed to have my breakfast.

What I expected was something like a salad or whatever, but I got somthing that looked like watery oatmeal that had chunks of meat in it. I tasted it with utmost caution, suprising though, this shit taste like good shit.

The watery part of the oatmeal tasted similar to gravy, the meat chunks tasted very tender and delicious, and lastly, the small parts that gave it the oatmeal appearance had a crunchy feel to it.

With much of my delight, I finished the bowl of the food rather quickly. I plan on asking him for the recipe of this delicious fucking meal.

I didn't have anything, much less did I feel like I needed to take something from the old man, and he did help me which is something I would do for myself as well.

I quickly went to the man and thanked him for letting me stay, he was having a bit of trouble lifting a barrel so I quickly approached him and helped him hold it.

As me and the man finished moving the barrel I explained to him what I was going to do and he told me to get a another pair of pants and a farmer dress-shirt before I leave since the clothes I wore smelled like shit. I guess it smelled like shit because of the water yesterday and the cow-shit carriage.

.   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .

With a fresh look I washed my face with a water-filled box inside the house and left. I dried my face with the dress shirt that I had on and waved at the farmer, seeing that he waved back I turned around and walked straight towards the town.

After 30 minutes of walking I noticed the bridge that the farmer told me about, and now that I think about it I don't think I introduced myself, and neither has he.. Fuck, now I won't have any referances.

Walking just a bit further from the bridge I could see some other farmers and a few wooden buildings with signboards sticking out the side of them. I'm sure this is the town the farmer was talking about.

I noticed that this wasn't the only road leading to it. I did see another one just a bit more to the side from this one, but it lead towards another direction to my right.

There was also a post that read "Faustor", and the one that pointed from where I was coming from said "Vasor Farmlands".

I didn't think much of it but I was happy to hear that I'm not close to some place where these "Monsters" exist as the man yesterday explained about the demon continent. Ah, about that demon continent, I'll explain what I know about it later.

First things first, I knew where I was headed. The farmer told me to head for a big building that had 3 swords on a sign, mentioning that the people inside were sure to give information if I ever needed it.

Doing so I looked around vigilantly.

I noticed a lot of different things in this town compared to the towns on earth.

There was a place that had something like a blacksmith, and I saw vendors selling things like staffs. All kinds of shit that you wouldn't normally sell in my old world.

There were other things too, like people dressed in drapes with weird ass hats too, others that held swords, and I saw some fully armoured tall ass motherfucker that had a fucking giant sword.

Something that looked as big as that wouldn't be easy to hold, better yet to wield it in battle seems impossible, at least for me. But whatever floats that guys boat... Or ship I should say, that guy's a tool.

As I looked around intruigued by the different views around me, I happen to notice that the building I was looking for was just right in front of me, how convenient.

With a wegie in my ass, and a gleeful feeling in my stomach, I walked in without looking back.
