“What in the world was that unnerving power?” questioned by an individual that appeared to be a human male, he wore a lab coat litter with dried stains of blood, indicating that he was a scientist of sorts.
The left sleeve of his coat was torn off. The shirt he wore under was a dirty v neck brown t-shirt.
He wore khaki pants that were oddly enough undamaged compared to the rest of the clothing he wore. His brown eyes were sharp and analytical, while his brown hair was messy and ungroomed.
He was known as Eraak, and he was heading towards a destination in hopes of finding the answers.
“The Isolation. Is this where that unnerving power came from?” Eraak said as he stopped at the edge of a cliff, he squinted to see anything out of the ordinary, but being this far up was difficult for the scientist to see. At last, his eyes were able to spot two bodies on the ground.
Which, was very unusual. Not the unconscious bodies but the fact that there were two individuals in The Isolation. As the name implies, it was supposed to be only one sinner in a specific area. There were two.
Eraak tried his best to get a closer look but he couldn’t without falling off the cliff, he was only able to see an outline of them. He could, however, faintly tell the larger one was most likely a demon, but without his binoculars, he wouldn’t be able to say.
If his guess were right, then this would peek his curiosity even more. More questions entered his head. If that was a demon, then why was it on the ground unconscious? What could have beaten it? It couldn’t have been the sinner, right?
These questions surrounded his head, and it agitated him to no end.
On the bright side, if it was indeed the sinner that had done this, then he had found a suitable test subject that could survive his exidus experiment.
“Yes, this is good, this is very good. I must hurry and retrieve this mortal’s body before any unwanted people show up!” he said as he immediately jumped off the cliff.
Now, this cliff wasn’t small by no means; in height, it was most likely around 60 to 90 meters tall. However, that wasn’t enough to deter the insane scientist.
In fact, he was screaming in joy, not in a panic. His adrenaline, mixed with his excitement made it impossible for him to feel any fear as he free fall towards the ground with laughter.
Eraak landed on his legs, but as predicted, upon impact his legs were bent in wrong ways that shouldn’t be possible.
“Not again!” he hurried to grab a syringe from his coat pocket and forcefully injected his arm.

A beep sounded from the syringe and in a matter of time, his legs were healed back to normal as if nothing had happened.
“I got to be a little more careful next time.” He chuckled as he stood up and bolted towards the bodies again.
“I can already taste the power from a mile away! I must experiment with it! I must answer these questions!” He exclaimed as he accelerated even faster.
Eraak was lost in his thoughts. He was thinking about all the possibilities this new being could hold in his experiments. If it genuinely held this power, then adding exidus would make it the most robust creature. A creature that he would need later in his plans.
Arriving at his destination, Eraak glanced at the mortal and was genuinely surprised to see that it was a human. Not at all what he had expected.
“Well this is new, I never suspected the mortal to be a human male, more so thought it was going to be a new species that I never encountered before.”
Eraak walked over to his body and crouched down, “Very unusual indeed. How can this human summon that much power?”
He poked the mortal's arm, “He seems far too weak to handle it. Hmm, maybe it was the demon who summoned that power?”
Eraak stood up and looked back at the demon and noticed something unusual.
Its head was missing.
His eyes widen at the realization. Eraak had expected a mortal was the cause of that unnerving power, but not a human. That was beyond his imagination.
More importantly this single human was able to kill a demon by ripping its head off, and not just an ordinary demon but a tier 2.
Inspecting it more, he knew that it was tier 2 just by how large it was. Sure, they weren’t as strong as the later tier’s, but they were still capable of dishing out damage.
From what he knew, a single tier 2 was strong enough to slaughter a group of military trained humans. A punch from them could end a human life in an instant, and yet this one, weakened, fatigue human was able to kill a tier 2, without a weapon?
“…”
Eraak was in complete silence. He was gathering his thoughts as he slowly looked back at the body of the human. Soon a smile appeared on his face; he knew what he had just found was the jackpot.
“YESS I have finally found my ultimate test subject!” He pointed at the body. “You sir have been appointed to be my new test subject, others have failed this experiment, but I know within my heart that you will succeed and be the strongest! I'm going to change your lif-uhh death!”
Eraak pulled out a white, black striped ball from his coat pocket.
“But before I do, I gotta dispose of this filth first.”
He threw the ball at the demon. Hitting it activated the ball’s hovering mechanic, which hovered over the target and within seconds, it disintegrated its body and head on a cellular level.
The ball hovered back inside his coat pocket. “With that out of the way, it’s time for me to take you on a spectacular journey back to my lab!”
Before he could act on his plan, Eraak overheard voices off the distance.
“Damn it. This won’t be as easy as I thought it would be.” He crouched and quickly rested his palm against Jon’s forehead.
“Su fiek fanf kieriefui das hast-”
Unfortunately, he had to speak loud for the spell to work, which brought even more attention to him.
“Hey, do you hear something?”
“Yeah, it sounds like someone is enchanting a spell.”
“It’s down in The Isolation! Let’s hurry up and see who’s causing it!”
Eraak began to panic. He needed to go faster.
“Suun fierai kakkoz-“
“Search around the area!”
“ARD FELLLIZ!”
Eraak quickly removed his hand to see a bloody handprint etched on to the mortal’s forehead.
It only lasted a second, which signals the completion of the spell. The worried scientist buried his hand into his pocket to pull out the small pale white creature.
“HEY, WE SEE YOU DOWN THERE!”
