In a darkly lit room lies a pale-skinned boy with black hair and green eyes, sitting on his dark green sheeted bed. He wore nothing but a black shirt and black ripped jeans with long black socks. His room was dull as it gets, it shared a similar color scheme to his clothing, all walls were grey which correlated well with the black ceiling and his attire. The Room was empty with nothing more than a rolling chair in the middle pointing towards at a 27-inch 720p tv sitting on top of a wardrobe.

The tv was the only light source illuminating the room with a gaming console sitting beside it. Behind the dusty console was a small pile collection of video games.

The only noise in the room was coming from the tv as it was displaying a gag cartoon which the boy wasn’t paying attention to. Instead, he sat with his knees held high to his chest, arms around his legs with his eyes directed at the grey wall opposite of him.

His face displayed no emotion, just pure blank emptiness. He isolated himself from the outside world, blocking the noise of the tv and focused his attention on the grey wall. His mind was just as blank as his face. Nothing but nothingness

His entire life revolved around this room. It was the only place he ever wanted to be in, certainly not out in the outside world nor any other rooms in the house. His bedroom only, It’s the void which keeps him away from any living being so they could be safe from himself. It’s the most perfect place he could ever dream of. If only he could wish he wouldn’t have to think nor imagine an ounce of anything. Just a mind, devoid of anything, no emotion, no feelings, and most importantly, no pain. The closest thing to death. But no, reality doesn't want it that way. Behind the emotionless pale face was an ordinary 11-year-old boy trying to break free from this constant nightmare and torture.

Painful thoughts of other people’s demise entered his head, every possible thing which would cripple any other child would invade his young, poor head for days and nights. Not even his savior, gaming could ever help. No matter how long he plays video games, these thoughts would only resurface and torment his mind, leaving him helpless on the floor until his father finally takes notice. Sometimes, staring into the grey wall for hours is one of the more enjoyable things to do. Not because it was fun, but because his mind would go blank at the constant staring of the dried pain-t.

But even the wall has its limits as tears will still slide down his emotionless face. These thoughts can never leave his head, and they will continue to resurface and plague his mind. Pain will never go away no matter how long he stares; it will remain in his conscious for all eternity. But even so, he still tried to forget them just for a little while.

Not until a voice he hated hearing so much would start talking in his mind. This voice, this terrible voice is the cause of his misery, the whole reason he wanted to end himself. The reason why everyone avoids him entirely, even the bullies feared him. And this isn’t even counting the terrible atrocities this voice had made his body commit. He knows it isn’t apart of his head, no it had to be a demon, it couldn’t be himself, right? And yet again this menacing voice had to ruin his enjoyable activity by speaking.

“Oh my. It seemed you enjoyed school today. Let me guess, you’re thinking about that girl, aren’t you?

His eyes widen, the young boy's body began to tremble as his head sunk below, now staring at the bed.

“What was her name again? Kayla Picaro ah such a lovely name, it’ll look even prettier on a gravestone after I give her a vis-“

“NO!!! I’m not thinking about her! I’m not I’m not I am not thinking about her!!! His voice wavered as he put his hands on his face, “Please… Don’t do anything to her… she’s going to leave me alone…I guarantee it so please…” A few tears slid down his face.

“I don’t want anyone else t-to,” He grips his face tighter, “Aghh I don’t want to hear their screams anymore! Their eyes…their poor eyes and faces I can’t do it anymore! Please...”

The sound of static filled the room instead of the gag cartoon he had on tv. He gradually moved his hands away just enough for his eyes to see the cartoon on his tv was replaced by a static channel. However, something disturbing caught his attention in the corner of his room where the wooden door was at.

The entire area was progressively becoming darker until it was complete black, now spreading around his room like a living shadow slowly arriving at his location.

The boy’s face contorted into fear and his body shrunk back when he noticed humanoids made entirely of shadow and large red eyes emerging from the blackness. There was at least a dozen that was coming towards the boy.

His hands frantically grabbed onto his hair, and his eyes closed while pushing himself further into his tight corner after hearing the humanoids screaming and screeching as if they were in pain.

“WhY DiD yOu dO ThIs to uS!” All the shadow beings gathered around his bed.

“N-no! I didn’t do anything!” He covered his ears and closed his eyes, yet he could still hear them loud and clear in his head, their horrifying screams shattering his will.

“I cAn NEVER InTerACt wIth my FAMIlY Again BecAuSe of YoU!”

“It wasn’t m-me!! It wasn’t ME!!!”

Tears fell like a waterfall, wishing these spirits to go away as they continued to torment him.

“IM S-SORRY! PLEASE S-STOP!”

Suddenly the front door of the house opened loudly with a booming voice occupying it, “I’m home you stupid rat! And I brought pizza!”

The boy’s eyes quickly opened at the sound of his dad’s voice. There he saw no sight of the shadow beings or any trace of the darkness ever appearing in his room. The cartoon from previously was displayed on TV as if nothing had happened.

His heart was thumping at dangerous speeds, still not processing what had just occurred he blinked a hundred times to make sure they were truly gone. He wiped the tears and sweat accumulating from his face still shock from this experience.

His breathing slowed down as he finally gathered his rational thoughts. The boy remembered hearing his father's voice calling him for dinner. Hesitation at first he shook his head and slowly got out of bed, his legs were wobbly. Feeling the need to rest his body back on the bed, he pushed himself forward and tired forgetting this event.

The boy gritted his teeth when a terrible headache was forming, deciding to fight this pain and exhaustion, he walked out of his room into the dark hallway, leaning on the walls for support before making his way downstairs into the living room. His father was in the kitchen eating a slice of pizza when he laid his eyes at his son in disgust.

“Why is it every time I look at you, you look dead inside?”

The boy only looked down in shame, not able to keep eye contact with his father.

“Whatever just eat the whole damn pizza this time, I'm going to sleep.” His father finished eating the slice of pizza he had in his hand and walked upstairs, leaving the boy to his thoughts.

I'm sorry

His eyes glance at the pizza on the counter. It was a simple pepperoni pizza, as basic as it gets. But as he continued to stare intensely at the food, he saw flashes of human flesh, limbs and any dismembers parts appear on the pizza, causing him to stagger from the atrocity.

The poor boy couldn't bear to look at it anymore as he put a hand over his mouth and closed his eyes. Feeling nauseous to his stomach, he rushed towards the sink and vomited what little he had eaten from before. After he was done regurgitating his guts out, he washed away any remaining bits with running water from the sink.

Another headache appeared at full force, getting used to the throbbing pain, he tried walking it off and not bother to look at the general direction of the pizza. But the pain pounding thumps in his brain was increasing so ever slightly.

Pain… Why must I feel pain every god damn time?

He hobbled his way upstairs, gritting his teeth at every step he took. All he wanted to do was to stare at the grey wall again, nothing more nothing less.

Finally, now inside his room, the young boy shut the door from behind and got onto his bed. The headache was still at play, but he endured it and stared at the grey wall again to relieve all his thoughts.

Slowly but surely his headache was seeping away.

Peace… Finally… Being alone is the only way… No more thoughts just…pure bliss…

“It’s time to cause another havoc.”

His eyes widen beyond belief, mouth agape, and hands on his head he desperately pleaded in his head towards the monster of hatred.

N-no NO! Please don’t!

“Oh, don’t worry I’ll keep your beloved classmates alive.”

The boy can feel himself feel light headed trying his best to fight back the monster’s control. “N-no! God damn you… please, I don’t want to see any more blood.” His voice, full of fear and desperation ceased as his body became limp.

*Crack*

*Crack*

*Crack*

The boy’s limbs, legs, arms, fingers, anything with a bone were cracking in inhumane ways, so disturbing and unsettling any ordinary person would vomit at sight and possibly get a heart attack. A demon was taking possession of this defenseless 11-year-old. His neck snapped multiple times and became limp before snapping back into position. All bone breaking snaps came to a stop. Gradually his head rose, and eyes opened.

A red dot was in the center of his green eyes, eyes that belonged to a demonic entity and a deep engraving smile was etched on his face. But the most disturbing part was the inhuman giggle it gave off.

“HehEhHeh.”
