Sara sighed in relief as she watched the students all file out of the classroom, this was the last time she would see this site, at least for a while. Damn it felt good, sure she would have to do some more grading, check the late assignments and clean out her room of her personal belongings for the summer, but she was done teaching this year, and she would not be back until after a long, long summer break.
Of which she would spend all of her time over with Dan.
She nodded to herself.
Yes this was a damn good plan.
Packing her stuff up she placed it all in a small messanger bag, and pulling it on over her shoulder, she stepped out of the room, only to round the corner and see him. There Dan was standing there looking ridiculously attractive.
He had always been cute in her opinion, but after becoming a demigod, well he was a breath stealer now. His form was much more chiseled, not overly muscular but definitely well built and toned, his red hair and beard gave him a lion like look, but if you had to ask her the most attractive part of him was those eyes.
They were a deep blue, bluer than the ocean, and now that he was a demigod they had these snake like slits instead of pupils, most people couldn't see them as he had a disguising spell on him, cast by amani. She however could see him as he actually was, thanks to another spell by Amani, in fact it had lead to a number of interesting discoveries.
It would seem that not everyone going to school here was human, and it was not just here, everywhere she went she now could see through the disguises of non humans. There wasn't a ton, just a few, according to Bastet most preferred to live out of range and view of humans, but there were some that chose to integrate.
Speaking of Bastet, Sara saw a head peek out over Dan’s shoulder, it was none other than Bastet herself, the perky eared egyptian goddess’s eyes widened and a broad smile appeared on her face. Practically hopping over Dan’s shoulders she ran over to Sara and grabbed her in a hug before planting a kiss on her lips.
Sara blushed, she could feel the stares and hear the hushed whispers of the people around her, both students and teachers. There were rumors starting about her and her, erm sexuality, and it was things like this that spawned them. Bastet however seemed unperturbed by the blatant staring grabbed her by the hand and pulled her over to the group. It would seem as though Dan didn't care that he was receiving several venomous stares from other men due to his being surrounded by gorgeous women.
“There are rumors starting about us.” Sara whispered softly to him.
“Oh?” he asked, rumors like what?.
“Stuff like I am Bi and you are a harem lord, as the nice ones.” she said.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“And the not nice ones?” he asked.
“Those involve you being the leader of a cult and all of us being your poor victims that you convinced to follow you.” he nodded, and much to her surprise he leaned down and kissed her deeply. She could practically hear the wild rumors that would spread like a forest fire. He let her pull back, his hand still under her chin as he did so.
“Ready to go?” Bastet asked. “Because I am starving, someone stole all of my fanc-” she looked around and found that there was other people that were listening in on the conversation. “All of my snacks.” she amended.
“Go? Where are we going?” Sara asked.
“Damn bast, you just had to spoil it didn't you?” Dan laughed. “We are going to a picnic to celebrate the end of the school year for you.”
“You do realise that summer for a professor is not free time like it is for say high school right?” she said. “It is this time we use to study, research and write, catch up with grants and other things.”
“Hmm, yes, you will be studying egyptian this summer, ” Bastet purred, “And biology at the same time.” she smiled and narrowed her eyes, a tongue darting out quick and pink to play across her lips and add to her hungry expression. One student who overheard this while he was drinking from a water bottle choked on the water as it went down the wrong tube, and ended up coughing up a storm.
“Bastet shhhh,” she whispered, but the damage was already done, she could tell people were looking at her differently. She grabbed both Dan and Bastet by the hands and marched them out, she had to get these two out of here before they ruined her reputation any more.
As soon as they got out to the car she sighed, these two, they would be the death of her career if they kept this up. “I can't take you guys anywhere.” she sighed as she slipped into the back of Dan’s car, only to have a very saucy egyptian goddess slide onto her lap, and wrap a pair of arms around her.
The park they stopped at was wholly deserted, with the exception of one older lady that was feeding the birds across the pond on the other side. It didn't take long before everything was laid out, sandwiches, chips drinks, all the standard things one would expect at a picnic.
“This is nice.” Dan said, looking up at the sky.
“Yes, yes it is.” said a voice, one that was not part of the group that came here “Oh is that smoked ham?” Dan looked over just in time to see his sandwich being snatched by a woman with long black hair and four sets of pupils in each eye snatch up his sandwich. Everyone froze when they saw the new arrival. “Mmmm, that's good.” she said, taking a huge bite out of the sandwich intended for Dan.
“Ashy?” he asked looking at her in shock, he hadn't seen her for the past few months, not since she had prolonged his existence. Abyzou narrowed her eyes, and even sara and Amani started to look at him strangely.
“Who is Ashy?” Abyzou asked in a dangerous voice, the end of her tongue flicking out to taste the air.
“Well that is-” he started to say but Ashy interrupted him again.
“Oh, and Barbeque chips mmmm don't mind if I do!” The nature goddess reached out and snatched up Dan’s bag of chips after polishing off his sandwich in record time. “Well I must say thanks for the lunch,” she winked at Abyzou “Sweety. But I came here to tell you that you have truly pissed her off.”
“Sweety!?!” Abyzou roared and threw herself at the woman, only to be restrained by Sara and Amani “Let me go! I'm going to kill her!” she hissed as they wrangled the half snake woman.
“Wait, pissed off who now?” Dan asked.
“Op, here she comes gotta go!” Ashy said, “Thanks for lunch babe.” she said before planting a quick kiss on the completely confused Dan’s lips, an action that sent Abyzou into a hissing rage. And just like that she was gone, and so was Dan’s food.
“Mortal do you have any idea how long it took me to sort out all that business?” A voice hissed behind them, and they all turned around to watch a portal open up and out slither a Lamia, she honestly looked like an older version of Abyzou, right down to the facial scale stripes. “I have been working tirelessly for the last two months without a single break to try and patch this whole mess, now tell me why should I not Ea-” The older snake lady paused once she saw Abyzou, who was currently still being restrained by Amani and Sara. “Zouzou, is that you? Why are you here?” she asked in confusion.
“Hi mom,” Aby said with a weak smile.
