Vol 2 Ch 19: a familiar face...

Dan looked at the Demoness in front of him,  she crossed her legs the opposite way of how she had them, flashing her plump labia, and Dan doubted it was by accident, she was after all a Demoness of lust.  He looked her in the face, even as she smiled at him with those blood red lips and sparkling white fangs.

“I am surprised,”  she said, with a shrug of her shoulders that set her breasts bouncing.

“Why are you surprised?”  he asked, looking her in the face and only the face. “You are always described the same in every myth and legend, on top of that there is the fact that you are called the mother of the Lamia, I could have guessed who you were even without seeing you.”

“Its funny, human beings are so bad at remembering their own history, yet they can get myths and legends correct, quite odd is it not, though I suppose they remembered me because they know what is important.”  she laughed, running her hands down her sides. “Tell you what, spend a night with me and we will forget all about this… charade...”  she whispered seductively, and even though he was on the other side of the room it felt like she had whispered it into his ear.

By sheer force of will he spoke.“I would say that was a tempting offer, but I wouldn't want to lie to you.”  he said, her large black eyes opened wide in shock, she had not really been expecting him to deny her. “Besides the way I hear it you have an archangel at you beck and call, why don't you go and speak with him?”

“You speak of what you do not know.”  she said, her eyes narrowing in anger.

“What was his name?”  he asked, mockingly putting his hand on his chin in a ponderous fashion. “Ah that's right, Samael, correct?”  she hissed when he said the name, her face growing more angular and her eyes taking on a red glow. “Venom of God, the accuser, seducer and destroyer.” he smiled, “ He remains one of God's servants even though he condones the sins of man, chief angel of the fifth heaven...said to be the angel of death,Samael tempts people to sin, is that what he did to you? Seduce and tempt you to sin?”  her face was growing more and more serpentine the smooth skin was fading away. “Did he tempt you from eden? Away from Adam?”  Dan laughed.  “I find it funny, you act like this great seductress, and you act like you look down on human beings, but you yourself were once one.”

“You will not speak of him!”  she shouted, her full demonic feature now truly revealed, she was no real woman, but a snake demon, scales all over her twisted body.  She was a horrifying sight to behold.

“They say the two of you had many children, the lamia, Asmodeus.” he shrugged, “And then he left you, and had Cain by way of eve.”  he looked at the enraged demoness, “I wonder how much of this is true?”  he asked. “They say Samael hated man, seeing as he was of fire and man was of dust, odd then that he would fancy you, perhaps he never did?”

The woman Lilith was shaking in rage, it took several minutes to calm herself down, and to return to her more human form. “You think yourself so clever...”  she hissed. “You think you can come into my kingdom and insult me so, the trial you face, know now that only five have undergone it, and only one has succeeded it.”  she spat at him. “You will die, and I will feed on your soul.”

“Would you like to make a wager then?” he asked, looking her directly in the eyes, they were still tented red, good he needed her in a rage, he needed her to not be thinking clearly.

“A wager?”  she hissed, “What sort of wager?”

“If I pass these trials you will grant me one thing I desire, I swear it will be in your power to handle.”  she looked at him eyes narrowed, the fire fading slightly. “Or perhaps you are not as great as the legend makes you out to be...”

“Very well, I accept.”  she spat at him, she really was easy to manipulate, with how conceited she was, her pride was the easiest thing to twist. “Sit where you are,”  she said, and he did as he was told, sitting on the floor cross legged. “You will face five trials, each harder than the last, you must triumph and convince the rulers of each trial that you are worth, should you fail you will die.”  she motioned to Abyzou, and with a nod Abyzou coiled her body around dan, she lay her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around him.

Lilith began chanting, the archaic sounds forming colors that danced around them, and quickly the room vanished, leaving only him and Aby in a world of darkness, soon the darkness lifted and Dan opened his eyes and cursed under his breath. Looking around he found himself in a large open area, or so he assumed, seeing as he was standing on what would appear to be a sand dune, one that extended ever up in the darkness.

There was not a single light to be found, not even the stars shone in the sky, or rather there was no light to be found besides the blood red moon that hung in the sky granting everything its red light.

He knew this place, he had been here before…

“I knew you would be back, my love...”  a voice called out in the wind,  Abyzou who was still wrapped around him narrowed her eyes. A shadowy figure of a woman formed in front of them, one that Dan had hoped to never see again. “Interesting, you are truly interesting Daniel Rhodri, I told you, you would have to come back to play again some other time, it would appear as though that time is now, heheehehehahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahah!”  she laughed with a feverish pitch, before darting forward and before either he or Abyzou could react planting a kiss on his lips. She pulled away, a strand of saliva connecting them for a second, Abyzou cried out in shock and lashed out at the shadow in anger, but her hand went through her like so much smoke. “Welcome back my love!”  she smiled, or Dan assumed she smiled, seeing as he could hardly make out any features of her face as she was made out of shadow.

“Hello Apate.” he sighed, this, this was going to be a long day...
