Ch 15 New Plans

Eradin was busy sleeping while Farah was sitting next to him reading her Abyssal Night Tome. Currently she was researching all the spells it contained, she wanted to master them all, and if Eradin was going to learn magic despite the [Magic Goddess Curse], he would need a patient teacher that could constantly teach him at all times of the day. That would be her job, since they would travel together from now on and originally she was the most talented in magic, Farah decided to take that role. While scrutinizing and studying a spell from the fire magic section which would cause an explosion enchant on whatever it was applied to, Duke Elenwith approached slowly. After taking the night to calm down, he thought things over and made an all out effort to understand his daughter's thought process as to why she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Eradin who she had only known for a little over three days now, instead of inheriting the position of Duke from him. He tried to think of anything other than the obvious scenario of a young teenage girl in love with the fantasy of having the honor of being wed to a demi-god as Farah didn't seem like the type of girl to fantasize such things. Duke Elenwith could only come up with two other thoughts, one was Farah had mentioned it was her destiny, so maybe through this demi-god, she somehow caught a glimpse of her future and what she had to do during her life span, or maybe it had to do with how she changed so dramatically in appearance, as it was obvious she was no longer a High Elf Noble. He could only hope that she could answer one of these thoughts.

"Farah, is it alright if I talk with you, I promise to the heavens I will not attempt to do anything that would harm the demi-god until I at least hear him out. I simply want to ask questions, hoping you can answer at least one without the blood contract taking effect. I didn't even come over wearing my long sword, I just want to talk father to daughter and understand your line of thought as to why you so drastically changed your lifes goal in three days. I'm sure you can understand that it isn't typical to change your lifes goal so suddenly, I just want to know why."

While Duke Elenwith was fidgeting with his fingers, Farah sent a piercing gaze at him, deep in thought, it was as if Farah was contemplating whether or not to trust her father after she told him that she lost some trust in him. Finally, since he had sworn to the heavens, Farah slowly replied, "Well, it's nice to have the logical and controlled side of you back, I haven't seen you that mad since the Aspect War. I can't make any promises to answer you but I will try."

Duke Elenwith finally heaved a sigh of relief. It seemed that he hadn't lost all of his daughters trust. If that was the case, he would be heartbroken. While looking at Eradin sleeping on the ground roughly 4 meters away, he began to speak. "Well I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer. They pertain to this youth over there. Why was he covered in a phantasmal image and aura of the Dragon King. Have they been unsealed? Do we need to go into another Aspect War but this time you are aiding the entities that we sealed?"

Farah understood why her father was worried, Eradin had body parts of the sealed gods. And over 90% of it was the Dragon Gods body, while the rest was Blood of the War Goddess and Heart of the Evil God. It wasn't surprising now that Farah thought of it. Eradin was bound to exhibit the sealed gods traits as he grew stronger. He inherited their entire existences and even their bodies. So having increasingly draconic tendencies and features would be a natural course of growth. The only problem, she couldn't outright say that to her father lest she be killed. " I can't explain that, I do know the answer and it is not what you think, however my blood contract states that I can't say anything that is confidential which I learned from Eradin without his permission. Certainly you should understand as a demi-god he knows more about these things than us mortals."

Duke Elenwith felt his body go cold, in his mind, if she couldn't answer his question then it meant he was close to the truth. Are the sealed existences unsealed? Is this youth their apostle of destruction? If so why would Farah be joining him? But it would have to wait until he woke up. Rather than think of it further, Duke Elenwith kept it in the back of his mind, but he didn't dare forget about it. He conitnued without trying to make the situation awkward. "Then did you get a glimpse of the future? You mentioned it was your destiny and he needed you far more than we realized, that is what you stated."

He didn't even have to wait for her to think as she curtly replied, "No I did not see the future, and it would be in your best interest to aid him as well if you want a peaceful life and know that the family will live on for generations should he succeed."

That was something Duke Elenwith understood quite easily, Farah found a loophole in words for him to understand a little. She didn't see the future but made a prediction. Eradin was on a quest, one of which that could lead to prosperity if it was successful for perhaps anyone involved with him. Duke Elenwith was happier because he understood a bit more of Farah's train of thought and it was a step in the right direction. Duke Elenwith however couldn't quite shake off the feeling that this youth was dangerous, it was as if something was telling him to be extremely cautious and wary of this youth, at least until he got to know him. Then he slowly broached the subject that he was the most sad of. "Are you no longer a part of the race High Elf Noble?" Duke Elenwith's words turned slightly bitter at that remark, it was something he wouldn't forgive the demi-god for doing, at least until he understood what changed about Farah.

She replied instantaneously further adding to his depression, "Yes, everything about me has changed, down to the very core of my being. I am no longer a High Elf Noble. I can't explain the particulars of my race, class or abilities as you would need to hear some of the confidential information prohibited by the blood contract."

Duke Elenwith felt as if the nail was put in the coffin. His daughter was no longer a part of his bloodline. She had evolved into a completely new elven subspecies. Although it was rare, it was also known to happen. Atleast he could rejoice in the fact she remained as an elven subspecies instead of becoming a new race all together. There were some people he had heard of who evolved into a new race  and hated it whether they got stronger or not. Slowly Duke Elenwith forced out a half smile. He tried his best to get some information. All that he could gather was Farah believed that their house would prosper if she aided him. At least she had the proper interests at heart.Just as he was about to walk away, Duke Elenwith heard Eradin stir, and then as he turned around, he saw Eradin had noticed his prescence once he escaped his state of grogginess. Bloodlust thicker than any he felt, even in the Aspect War started to come his way to the point it was leveling his detection of it. "Hi there demi-god, don't mind me, I was just talking to my daughter, I'll let you have a chat with her before we have ours." Duke Elenwith for the first time in his life, shuffled his feet and walked quickly to escape the prescence of a person who was a lower level than himself because of the uneasiness and wariness he felt.

Eradin finally woke up, he felt much better aside from the fact that he knew the warped spatial laws around him were forcing him to use even more energy for the simple task of sitting up. His bodily pain also increased but surprisingly, for whatever reason, none of the curses doubled or tripled the pain or problems he had. They increased slightly but not to the point he was leveling resistances. Once he got Duke Elenwith to go away with his bloodlust, Eradin finally had time to look at his statuses. Farah simply resumed reading her tome as she knew that was the first thing he would do.

[New Soul Shop Merchandise available up to level twenty skills, soul points are insufficient for level twenty skills.]

Eradin's first thought was that he wanted to strangle whoever made such a system. It was absolutely a shitty system, the bastard that made it must've been drunk or high off some substance similar to drugs of Earth. Perhaps both. Eradin had never heard of such a bullshit excuse of stats are too high for given level and it would cause imbalance, imbalance for what? Being stronger than any other level twenty eight in the world? Who cares! He had the body of a true god, how much imbalance could there be! The God of MisFortune really liked to mess with him, and his luck had even increased by +2 not even two days ago!

But Eradin's mood wasn't down for long,he didn't care about ascension either as that was a whole different problem to deal with when the time came. Eradin instead had a plan for when many of his skills reached 10/10 or MAX. That was skill evolution or fusion. If someone could evolve under the right circumstances like Farah had, then why couldn't skills or traits evolve as well. This was exciting for Eradin to think about since it was one of the few things he enjoyed, that was thinking the infinite possibilites for skills and traits, as for his resistances leveling up, that should be surprising, but honestly speaking. with the draconic body, Eradin expected them to level up passively as his curses strength increased and he encountered scenarios and fights where they would level up naturally like today when he endured mass amounts of acidic poison.

Finally finished looking through all of his new statuses. Eradin had a clear cut understanding of the situation. There were new skills, and new problems. Unknown to him, there was an egg fused with his body, and Farah already forgot about it due to the hectic events. The future was unknown. Eradin turned to Farah finally and called out to her. "So who are they?"

Farah looked up from her tome and was happy Eradin was ready to talk, "One of them is my father, the one you directed the bloodlust at, while the others are the fathers of the other three girls originally in my party. Together they are known as the Four Calamities. Due to them acting like you, simply rampaging on the battlefield without a care in the world, they achieved that title together. I sincerely apologize for how my father acted but he has agreed to not act so irrational again. He was just thinking with my safety in mind. If you could find it in your heart to forgive him then I would greatly appreciate it. They are four of the pillars, not including our demi-gods that hold this country together despite other countries fangs always being at our necks."

Eradin simply turned his head in a crooked way. "Then why was he trying to drag you away from me, the moment he did that, I had woken up from the screaming you were doing, something felt like it broke inside of me and I was as angry as I was when I almost died fighting multiple Forest Lords. I was ready to attempt to slaughter any of them for trying to steal my life line to this world that keeps my sane, which is you. Now that I have you as my only friend, if I lost you, I don't know what I would do."

Farah felt happy to hear such words as his [Eternal Guide], "Well don't worry, I need to be there in order to prevent you from getting lost in big cities just trying to find a bathroom. So, onto important matters. I think you need to get a faction on your side. When the time comes and you are strong enough to fight all the gods. I find it hard to believe they won't just replicate what happened in the Aspect War and seek the aid of mortals. That was why I am guessing the Sealed Gods lost and were sealed. If you could create a faction that would fight it out with the other demi-gods and mortals, then all of your attention could focus upon the ten gods. I understand with the curses, socializing will be hard, but that is where I come in. The right people will listen and help. It doesn't have to be a short term goal, it might take years before you ascend. I think starting with the four Dukes would be a perfect foundation. Then the adventurers of Elren City until finally the whole city supports you. Then we could expand to the entire nation, and possibly others. Our enemy would be the church, but nothing is absolute, they can be rooted out. But in order to do that, I need permission to tell everything to the four Dukes. If you trust me, then let me guide you onto the right path as is my duty."

Eradin soaked in the idea, it had its merits and demerits. But honestly, there wasn't any fault in the reasoning. If he didn't have to worry about mortals and demi-gods. That would make his life easier. Socializing could all be done by Farah and he just had to play his part, mainly slaughtering anything that went against him.

Yup I am definately a villain-like protagonist in this world thought Eradin. Just slaughter anything that gets in my way. Break all rules and morals. Don't give a damn about anyone elses feelings aside from Farah's or she'll kill me. Other than that just use this whole damn world as an experience farm. With a grin at the thought of a world for an experience farm Eradin replied happily, "I grant you permission to spew the information to the four Dukes, build us a faction to slaughter anything that gets in our way. But your payment, make me a new headband to cover my eyes, the last one was destroyed by the acidic poison"

Farah only laughed heartily, Eradin really was a battle junkie and would probably go through many headbands unless one was made from the best of magic materials. And with that, the two of them had evil smiles while walking to the Dukes with a plan in mind for the future, starting with gaining control over the four noble houses of Elren City.
