Mitch got on a killing spree, killing all the lone nature slimes he could find at the edge of the chamber, he didn’t want to go further inside the chamber because the density of the slimes was way bigger, and would’ve had to deal with 10 at a time which seemed impossible at the moment.
He didn’t get unscattered, the slimes managed to leave long shallow cuts on his legs, Mitch found that the more he healed the hungrier he got, the healing was using his body's energy reserves and his mana to heal.
Even though the cuts were superficial the healing still took too much time, he tried pushing more mana in the spell but it only got bigger it didn’t heal faster or better, it only had a bigger area which didn’t help much.
Between the heals he absorbed cores until he got to the last xp needed for level-up, Mitch wanted to save the level-up for tomorrow so he could farm more inside the dungeon. The level-up high acted somewhat like a very strong coffee or energy drink, Mitch sighted, he was missing his coffee so much.
Mitch tried to lure slimes to the chamber entrance by throwing rocks at them, they moved but only a few meters then they moved back to their initial spot, the stone didn’t do enough damage for the slime to want to engage in battle.
Not having any easy nature slime to kill, Mitch decided to move to the next type, the earth one. He didn’t know how they fight so he had to be cautious.
Mitch moved slowly toward an earth slime that was the closest to the chamber entrance, he was in his battle stance, with the branch above his head ready to bash at any moment, his eyes darting on the slime, and around him, he was prepared.
When he got to 3 meter distance, an earth spike manifested from the ground under his right foot, it was slower than the nature type variant but it manifested from further away and was bigger than the root. Mitch dodged it, he got closer to the slime and bashed it, not doing enough damage at all. This type of slime was way tankier, he felt like bashing the ground.
After attacking 5 times the area where he bashed got lighter, it wasn’t a dark brown anymore, and he felt less resistance, slime sludge began to splash from every bash and finally he hit the core, the slime got his demise and Mitch got his core which was brown.
It took him 12 strikes to kill the slime, it took way more time to kill it but the slime couldn’t hit him at all, the spike wasn’t as fast as the root and was always raised straight up from the ground, the root had different angles.
He managed to kill 26 more earth-type slimes, then he tried his luck with the electric type.
Mitch healed himself, got a new branch from his pocket space then got to the nearest electric-type slime, he approached slowly until he got into the bashing distance, nothing happened this time, nothing came from the ground like the other two, he was paranoid tho, his life could be in danger at any moment so he had to be very cautious. He bashed the slime with all the force he could muster, when the branch touched the slime a violent current of electricity traveled through it to his hand.
His hand got numb, and he backed away, his body was resisting the electricity from going further into the body, otherwise, his whole body would go numb. Mitch backed off to the entrance and healed his hand, the numbing went away and he could use his hand again. He felt the electricity was similar to mana, it might as well be aspected mana, like his spells, so he got the idea of pushing his mana toward his hand to block off the invading electricity mana.
He tried pushing his mana to his hand while bashing and moving, this was way harder than using his mana while standing still, but he had to do it. He practiced until the end of the day when he went to sleep.
The next day he absorbed the rest of the cores granting him a new level and a little boost of power.
7 x Small nature slime core converted into 70 xp points!
26 x Small earth slime core converted into 260 xp points!

“AHHH!” Screamed Mitch feeling invigorated by the level-up.
“I might become a level-up addict.”
Nowadays Mitch's routine after waking up was totally different than a few weeks ago when he was still on earth. He woke up, then he used his water spell to drink, freshen up, and put some water on the pile of burned wood just to be sure. From the time he got the fire spell, Mitch always had a fire going at night to keep him warm. With the earth spell he managed to create enough earth to mold it into a bed. He put all kinds of leaves, weeds, and grass on the bed. He was fond of his little place but he really missed his old bed and most of all he missed people, Mitch longed for someone to talk to.
After his level-up Mitch got to the electric slime again, and this time he pushed his mana in his hand, when the branch touched the slime the electricity again began to enter it and go to his hand not able to penetrate more than his skin, which was painful but way more manageable than having your whole arm being numb. The branch went deep inside the slime but missed the core, Mitch focused too much on his mana and didn’t aim properly. He killed this slime with only 2 hits which was fast, faster than killing the nature slime.
“I can do it with 1 hit next time.”
Mitch killed all the lonely slimes be it earth, electric, or nature types, after the night some new ones spawned, not many only 2 or 3. He currently had 328/500 exp and got enough slime cores for yet another level up, he waited until the next day and got to level 9.
Level 10 had a 2000 exp requirement which was the biggest increase in xp requirement until now, he had to kill 200 slimes to get that much xp which would take days. The real problem was that he had to take bigger risks from now on, the lone slimes were spawning every day but were very few, he had to wait months to kill enough lonely slimes or start killing the grouped ones which was hard and might even die if he wasn’t completely focused on the task.
He had a strategy, to kill the groups which had the most electric slimes, and none or just a few other types so he wouldn’t be targeted by many spells at a time. The electric ones attacked only by touch and they were slow like all the other slimes, they couldn’t dash into him, but he could easily outmaneuver and dodge them while dodging spells and killing the nature and earth type then finishing the electric type. The plan sounded good but no one would know how the fight would go.
Mitch went to the slime chamber and scouted for a smaller group with more electric types, there were slime groups ranging from 6 to 20 slimes. He manages to find a group with 5 electric types, 2 earth ones, and one nature slime.
He went slowly to the group, trying to ambush the nature slime. He got in range, and a root appeared under his right foot then an earth spike under his left and one earth spike in front of him, putting the nature slime behind the earth spike and having no way of attacking the nature slime, he dodged to the left and still got after the nature slime, he had a little time before another barrage of spells would come to him, enough time to kill the slime. Mitch had to bash only 2 times and the slime evaporated in blue specks of mana, he was stronger after leveling up, and the slimes were starting to feel less dangerous each time he fought one.
After the nature slime, he oriented towards the earth ones, they were surrounded by electric types, and Mitch had to kill a few of them to get to the earth ones first. He bashed them one by one, his hand feeling a little numb after all the electric hits, a spike managed to cut his leg, it was too much focusing on dodging and using his mana to fend off the electricity. He fight through the pain, his leg was still working, he killed off the electric types and then the earth ones which was easier said than done. A few spikes managed to cut his legs, he got his loot and then ran towards the chamber entrance to heal.
It took hours to heal his wounds, but the pain didn’t put him out of commission he went right back to the chamber for another round. Mitch went at it for days until he finally got his last xp for the level-up.
