Mitch tried using his weapon creation skill but to no avail.
“Damn, what a mana-hungry skill.”
With his new passive [Apprentice mana manipulation] Mitch felt a stronger connection to mana, he could feel it easier, and he could grab at it with his senses, he thought of pulling some mana from the slime cores but he didn’t have any, he had to get more to try his newfound knowledge out and to buy the [Small pocket space] skill so he could carry more things with him.
The current day was almost over so he went inside the cave, unwilling to go and fight slimes in the dark he kept pushing his mana in his body until he fell asleep.
The night was peaceful and when he woke he got to farming the slimes for cores.
Mitch was lucky, he found a big hole in the ground with over 20 slimes trying to get out. He jumped into the middle of the hole. Surrounded by all those slimes he felt no fear, he knew already that they were harmless, he began bashing, slime goo splashing everywhere, and he got drenched in it.
“Maybe that wasn’t a good idea, now I have to wash myself.”
He used the gather skill on the slimes but left the slime balls on the ground, he didn’t know what to do with them and wasn’t going to just carry them around, he thought that maybe if he used a skill a certain number of times the skill would evolve.
“Inspect!”
Slime sludge – crafting ingredient
“What a stingy skill, giving me almost no information.”
The day was bountiful he got 34 slime cores.
Mitch bought the pocket storage skill, after the forceful info dump into his brain, he knew how the skill worked, he activated the skill, and a black square a bit bigger than his hand appeared in front of him. He tried putting his branch inside and barely fit, he knew while the skill was active what was inside the pocket space and only had to think of what he wanted to take and he will put his hand through and take it. The skill cost 10 mana and was active for 2 minutes then the black square disappears but everything inside the space remain. He had some freedom with the skill, he could close it anytime, and he didn’t have to wait 2 minutes to close itself.
The space was one cubic meter in volume, Mitch stored in two branches and berries until he couldn’t put anything in anymore.
Mitch was now in the cave with a core in his right hand, he was looking at it intensely trying to sense mana from it, he then tried to absorb the mana through his hand, trying to imitate the feeling of absorbing the cores for system points. His first try was a failure, he felt some mana getting inside his skin but then the core started crumbling and he was sensing mana dissipating around his hand.
He tried with two more cores but with no success. Then with the last core, Mitch tried to send some mana from hand to the core, he felt the mana forming a link with the core, then he pulled in the mana through that link. He succeded.
1 x Small infant harmless nature slime core converted into 1 xp point!
“I did it!”
Mitch felt revigorated after absorbing the core, his xp got up by one point and now he had hope to get stronger and fight the slime inside the dungeon. The sun was still up so he started grinding for more slime cores.
By the end of the day, he only got 6 more, not enough to do anything with.
The next day he got right back to hunting the little green slimes. Three core slimes later and he finally got it.
CONGRATULATIONS

+1 to ALL stats!
“What class I was supposed to have? So this fucking system gets me all the way from the earth and gives me blessings and skills but forgets to just give me a class, what a trash system!”
After his little rant, Mitch began to feel different he felt reinvigorated, he found that he could punch faster and stronger, he could see a little bit better, the little mental fog he had almost gone away, and even his mana sense was somewhat better. Mitch looked at his status window and as he guessed his mind and body stats increased by 1 point.
“All of this for 1 point! I have to hurry and level up!”
Mitch got a newfound motivation, the level-up high got him standing up and running for the closest slime he could find. He bashed the poor slimes even at night, only going to sleep when he couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore from the fatigue he experienced after the high was over.
He woke the next day grumpy and still fatigued.
“Damn, I have to refrain myself the next time I level up.”
Some of the fatigue diminished when he looked at the pile of slime cores he had to absorb.
28 x Small infant harmless nature slime core converted into 28 xp points!
After the first xp point, he could see in his status sheet the amount of xp points he got and how much would he need for the next level up. He needed 20 points for level 3.
This time he didn’t level up immediately, it was night and he knew that if he go the level-up high again he wouldn’t be able to sleep so he barely made himself wait for the next day.
Mitch leveled up to 3 getting the same screen as last time, he felt the rush going to his head and got an insane energy which he used of course on the little green ones.
His feet moved faster, his ears could hear better, the bashes got stronger, and his eyes saw slimes from farther away. The core farming got faster and faster and he managed to get 35 cores that day putting him at a total of 43 cores, enough for yet another level up. He now was level 4.
Mitch kept at it for another 5 days until he got to level 7, the next level require 300 xp, and Mitch could get at most 50 a day, he had to travel far into the woods to get to slimes. His killing spree depopulated a fairly big area around the dungeon. Mitch was afraid to get too far into the woods, he didn’t want to lose the dungeon yet.
“I have 2 choices, the first one would be to leave the dungeon cave, go farther into the forest, and make myself a new base there, then after I level up some more, maybe I could backtrack to the dungeon, but the little guys give such a little amount of xp it starting to not feel worth it anymore, I just want to kill a dungeon slime to see how much xp it gives. My second choice would be to go into the dungeon, I feel way stronger than when I first entered the dungeon.”
Mitch pondered on what to do the whole day while bashing the slime of course. He decided finally that night that he should at least try his newfound strength with the dungeon slimes.
At the current point he leveled 6 times getting him to level 7, and got 6 points into everything, his mana increased by 10 every level for some reason.

He could inject 30 mana at most in his create element spell, making the spell as big as a basketball. Still useless in a fight as he couldn’t throw whatever he conjured.
Mitch woke up and felt prepared, he got his pocket space filled with food and some branches, he got his best branch in hand and started going to the slime chamber in the dungeon. Last night before sleeping he tried to heal every part of his body even if it wasn’t needed just to be sure and to not encounter any problems during his encounter.
The slimes down in the dungeon chamber were still doing their thing, unaware of the calamity that was coming for them. Mitch found a lonely nature slime that was close to the chamber entrance and dashed to it, with the branch above his head when he got close enough he bashed the slime this time feeling the mana in the spot the vine got out to injure him and dodging accordingly.
He bashed the slime twice, slime sludge splashing on him and his surroundings, then another mana spot appeared around his feet, making him jump to the left and bash the slime yet again this time hitting its core making the slime stop moving and exploding into blue particles that evaporated into nothing. Just the core remained in the spot where the nature slime has been.
“This must be a dungeon feature. Gather!”
Mitch used gather on the spot where the slime was but nothing happened.
“Weird.”
He got the core and got back outside of the chamber where he was safe. Mitch inspected the core.
Dungeon made small nature slime core – tier 1
Mitch felt way more mana energy emanating from the core, he started absorbing it immediately.
1 x Small nature slime core converted into 10 xp points!
“Ten times the xp !!! Jackpot!” Said Mitch looking greedily at the slimes.
