“Out of all the items I received, the mirror was the first. I have spent countless years trying to study its effect, however I have yet to find one. Perhaps it doesn’t have one, or my level is too low. The lamp does not seem to need any fuel or an energy source, however every time I attempt to light it, nothing happens. I think the same problem applies to it. That leaves the pot, calendar and clock. The pot seems to be made for cooking, and I am unable to bring items into the time sphere, meaning it probably will be useful once I can, if I live to see the day where my ‘gowla’ rune has reached such a level.
That only leaves the calendar and clock. I’ve always just assumed the clock to be decoration, or that as my level continues to increase, it will start showing the passage of time outside. I can’t afford to make baseless assumptions regarding my only possible lifelines. During my short moment of observation, every 24 hours passed in the outside world, the handles will move from their still position at the 12 o’clock mark. Moving slightly backwards, only to return to their resting position. Marking the passage of a day. What does this symbolize, or rather what effect could this possibly have for me to utilize?
“The calendar shows the passage of time, in the sense that every day that passes will be crossed out of it automatically. It doesn’t show a single date from the past, only the future once, as if they are all that matters. It might potentially concern time travel to the future, or something similar, but I am unsure. It’s also seemingly impossible to reach the final page of the calendar, as every time I choose the last page, more will simply generate behind it, continuing endlessly. It would be great if this calendar could somehow bring my body through time, into the future, and protect it that way. But considering it was provided by the time sphere, which for some reason seems to really despise my body, I find this unlikely. What would probably happen if I chose a date in this calendar and ‘traveled’ to that date, my body would presumably experience the passage of time, merely shielding my mind from it. This would cause me to die even faster in this situation. If I make it out though, I will get to the bottom of its abilities, because this still sounds ridiculous.”
“The clock truly is my only chance.”
Thinking till here, Samuel picked up the clock. Something he had done countless times in the past, only to be dissatisfied with it, seeing as it wouldn’t allow him to become even more powerful. This time, however, he chose to study it with the most rigidity possible. If there was truly something powerful about the clock, something that could help him, then he would find it. Hours soon passed, yet Samuel was no closer to a solution. However, he continued to feel he was on the right track. There was no telling whether this was the delusion that developed on the edge of death, or instinct, but it kept him going,

“Are you kidding me? There was a latch here that I could have used to open it the entire time? I have spent almost all my time trying to find something to help me, and I have spent it basically in vain searching for something that was blatantly obvious. It’s not even hidden. God damn it! No time, no time. I have but a few minutes left.”
Samuel proceeded to open the latch he found, revealing the old, rusted, golden clock hands, still firmly stilled on the 12 o’clock mark.
“It’s literally do or die. If I do anything to this and it has an effect, even if it kills me, it would be better than dying to my own attack. No time to think, just do.”
The clock hands could clearly move, as he had observed before, so he figured the ability must have something to do with that aspect of the clock. As such he proceeded to move the hour hand to the 11 o’clock mark, which is when he finished attacking the last stronghold of the Black Lotus.
Instantly, Samuel’s mind was ripped out of the time sphere, reappearing in his body, only a very different scene greeted him than when he entered. He was now standing on a tall tree in a mighty forest, a forest which had a grand city situated in the center of it. In the city, a giant piece of land seemed to have been ravaged by a devouring force of sorts, with countless people spectating the area.
“NO WAY! It can take me back in time! How can I have such an overpowered item in my time sphere? Aren’t I basically immortal now? No one can kill me if I enter the time sphere in time. Before I get ahead of myself, I still have unfinished business to attend to. Those bastards almost made me end my own life. This time, I’ll prepare more before I attack their formation core with Singularity. I need spirit stones to replenish my qi, so that I can get away this time.”
Spirit stones were the most common cultivation resource in the Shattered Realm, it was a must have for every cultivator. Samuel was lacking in them, seeing as he never really had the chance to get any, He therefore decided to enter the city in front of him, to either get some through legal means, or if that did not work, then resort to illegal once. Is what he told himself. However, he had already decided to rob the first not innocent looking cultivator he saw. He entered. Found some scumbag. Erased every trace of him, other than his storage ring which contained a barely adequate amount of spirit stones. Left through a spatial tear and reappeared on the mountain he used to scout the headquarters from before.
“It’s go time. Again. Only this time, it will be flawless.”
…
In an area surrounded by countless threads of pure gold, all connected to a giant dragon like thread, a being opened its eyes. From it came a voice so archaic it would cause any mortal who heard it to die of old age on the spot. “Why did time shift in one of the lower realms?”
The figure moved its hands into weird shapes and symbols, almost as if he was counting his fingers in some ancient, ritualistic manner.
“There shouldn’t be any problems, but there seems to be a new nest of Chaoticas in their region of the universe. Who gave them the gall to take up residence in the lower realm? Mortia, exterminate the nest before they can bring any harm to the nearby realms.
“Understood.”
“Did some being in one of the lower realms manage to comprehend a time travel ability? If so, the higher realms will tremble in the future. I’m looking forward to it!”
The figure then closed its eyes again, seemingly merging with the void and threads surrounding him.
