Chapter 9: Mayday! Mayday!

Chapter 9: Mayday! Mayday!

The airship is now flying 60,000 feet above the ground.

As the airship glided through the sky, its engines hummed with a low, steady thrum. It was powered by a cutting-edge energy source that allowed it to travel at incredible speeds, even in the harshest of weather conditions.

The airship soared over mountaintops and through cloud banks, the passengers on board marveled at the incredible views from the ship's many windows. They could see for miles in every direction, and the world below them seemed to stretch out endlessly.

The participants were seen talking to each other while admiring the sceneries in the sky. Freed asked Shon if he knows where the ship is taking them or if he had a clue on what will be their next examination.

Shon shrugged his shoulders and said that he didn't have any idea.

My body still aches from the first examination, I wish that this would not be that hard, Shon said to Freed.

Shon tapped Freed's back.

Freed is like electrified and he feels his body is aching.

See, you were the same, I thought you had already regenerated from the last battle. I just want to rest for now, Shon exclaimed as he lay down.

Freed lies down besides Freed.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I would want a full week of rest after that battle. Wew, I get to really push beyond my limit.

Ween is seen attending to the other wounded participant on board. She is checking on their physical status.

The man with a sinister aura is sitting silently at the other corner of the ship.

Buzzz ...Buzzz. The speaker inside the ship suddenly turns on.

Hello?... Hello!?...Hello!? Is this thing already broadcasting?

Knocking on the microphone. Bzzzzzzzzzzzz. The microphone produces a squeaking sound that is painful to the ears.

The participants onboarding the ship cover their ears.

What are you doing you idiot! It's already on.

Give me that!

No, I'll talk to them.

The two quarrels while on the telephone when suddenly the screen of the monitor turns on showing up the two quarrel while holding each other's face.

On the side of the screen you can see Uriel appearing and smiling.

My, my ... What lively personnel we got in here.

I'm so very sorry for you to witness that. Now stop it you two there. Uriel wink.

The two stopped their quarrel and were fixing themselves.

Now, where are we? Oh, I see. I am very delighted that all of you who have onboarded this ship have passed the first examination.

Congratulations to all of you!!!!! Uriel popped up a party popper while the two guys were throwing confettis.

Well done to all of you, you've all given a good show in that last fight. I enjoyed it alot.

What! What are we a cast of a show?Where not here to entertaine you, said some of the participants.

How rude! Said Uriel with a sad face who is about to cry.

Anyway, this ship will take you to your next examination and these two will be your examiner.

Okay, so you can just enjoy your view there until you get to your next destination.

Monitor blank out but the microphone is still on.

You forgot to tell them something, Mister Uriel, says one of the two examiners.

The monitor turns on again.

Oh yeah, I forgot, sorry about that.

After this call, the bomb inside this ship will start to countdown. As the time passes, the ship's gasoline will also leak. So try your best to stop the bomb and gas to leak out.

Okay? Goodluck. Uriel ended it with a wink.

We are so excited to meet you all, that is why we created this as a welcome party.

Hope you like it. See you soon! Says the two examiners in a child like manner.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.

The monitor black out.

What the F!..how is it a welcome party! Are they crazy!says the participants.

For G sake, I thought that this will be a peaceful ride, says Shon.

A bomb on this ship? Are we gonna explode? Says Ween

No, we just have to stop it from exploding, says Freed.

Do you know how to detonate a bomb?asked Shon.

I don't. Hahahaha, says Freed.

We are doomed! Ween is trembling in fear.

Hahaha, I really thought for a second there that you know how to detonate a bomb, says Shon.

This would be a one hell of a ride, says the other participants.

Now, the question is where is the bomb? Says Shon.

Oh, yeah, the examiner didnt even give us any clue. Says Freed.

A dizzzle sound, the monitor turns on.

Oh, wait, we forgot to tell you, you only have two hours and thirty minutes before the bomb explodes. Goodluck! , says one of the examiners with a smile.

The monitor turns off.

We are soooo dooommmeeeed! Says Ween. Her appearance is gloomy and pale as she was saying this.

Everyone we need to spreadout and find the bomb but if you find it do not touch it. Tell it immediately to us so we can think of what to do with it, says Shon.

Alright, that's a good idea.

Spread out everyone and look for the bomb.

Okay!

The participants onboard began to spread out to look for the bomb inside the ship.

The passengers are now too anxious to find the bomb. While everyone is too busy searching for the bomb, the guy with a sinister aura is only just sitting while sleeping on the other corner of the ship.

How can he be so calm in a situation like this?says one of the participants.

The man opens his eyes and glares at the gossiping participants and emits an aura full of bloodlust.

The participants felt the aura and they chilled up to their bones. They immediately keep their distance from the guy.

That guy is scary. I almost peed my pants when he stared at us, says some participants.

I almost feel the death door in that moment, says one of the participants.

It's been almost two hours and still no one has found the bomb.

Has anyone found the bomb?

Not yet. But we are doing our best.

Has anyone seen the pilot's room?

Yes, and it wasn't there. We also looked at every room for guests and we couldn't find it.

We are in deep trouble. We only have thirty minutes before the bomb explodes.

Did the examiner not give us any clue? Asked Shon to be Freed.

I don't know, I couldn't remember, says Freed.

Shon fell down.

If I were to put a bomb where would I put it? Asked Shon.

The examiners said that while the bomb timer counts down the fuel of this ship will also decrease alongside it. So, I think it's maybe in the engine room. Says Ween.

You're so quick Ween, says Shon.

Freed pat Ween head and says, Good job Ween.

Let's go there.

The three ran immediately to the engine room.

As they arrive, Shon turns on the light.

Now, where would it be?, asked Freed.

Look for something that has a number in it and with so many wires, says Ween.

Right, says Shon.

Oh, there's something in here, says Freed.

Freed tries to pull out the device.

Stop Freed!, says Shon.

Why?Asked Freed.

You could have killed us if the wrong wire breaks, wew, says Shon.

Ween is seen to look pale by Freed's action.

Now, this is really the bomb. Says Shon.

Ween, Do you know how to detonate this thing? Shon added.

I don't really know exactly, I haven't done it before, says Ween.

But we can try the one I've read, Ween added.

Try it?Are you sure that what you've read is legit? Shon asked

Ahm...I'm not really sure. Says Ween.

Although Shon and Freed were skeptical and nervous they agreed to let Ween do the job of defusing the bomb.

There was a tense atmosphere in the room, panic and fear gripped the three.

The bomb was a sophisticated device, with intricate wiring and a timer set to detonate in just a few minutes.

Ween immediately got to work, assessing the situation and analyzing the bomb's construction.

She carefully approached the bomb, examining it closely for any potential vulnerabilities.

As she worked, the other two stood guard, keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity or potential threats. The clock was ticking, and the tension was palpable as they worked to diffuse the bomb before it was too late.

Ween quickly identified the bomb's weak point and began the painstaking process of carefully dismantling the device.

Her hands were steady as she worked, her mind focused on the task at hand. With each wire she cut, she moved one step closer to defusing the bomb and saving countless lives.

Time seemed to stand still as Ween worked, and the other two held their breath, waiting for the moment when the bomb would be neutralized.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Ween gave the signal that the bomb had been successfully diffused.

Freed announced that the bomb had been diffused. The crowd erupted in cheers as the team emerged from the scene, relieved and exhausted but filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

But, little they know is that the ship is slowly falling down. They have diffused the bomb two seconds before it explodes. The gas has run out already together with the time they spend on defusing the bomb.

Hey guys, do you feel it? It seems that the ship is falling down, says one of the participants.

The other participants looked outside of the glass window and they saw that they are starting to slowly fall.

You're right we are falling, what is going on here?says the participant.

Hmm, from what I remember that fuel will also run out together with the bomb timer, am I right Ween? Asked Freed.

Yes, that is correct, says Ween.

Shon immediately ran to the pilots room to check for the fuel indicator. As he arrived, he saw that the fuel was already empty.

Oh no, we are in deep trouble now, says Shon.

Shon announced that the fuel is already empty and the ship will fall to the ground in just a matter of time.

Are you sure? Is that for real? Says the anxious participants

Are they really trying to kill us all?

Now, what should we do? How do we survive falling from this height?

Lets spread out and check if there are parachutes available in the ship, says Freed.

The number of parachutes is not enough that it takes 2 people to share a single parachute.

We only have one more left parachute to share for us three, says Shon.

Can we make it? He asked

We don't know if we don't try, I think it can carry the three of us since we are just kids, says Freed.

One by one the participants jump out of the falling ship.

The trio also began to jump out of the ship.

As they are already getting ready to land, a sudden strong wind blows them that causes Freed to be detached from the two.

Freed was falling faster, then suddenly a fast falling guy passed Shon and Ween. He catches Freed and grabs his hand. Then he released his parachute.

All of the participants were able to land safely.

After several minutes all of them have seen the ship crash down.

Sound of heavy vehicles is approaching. A megaphone sound is suddenly heard.

Hold your feet on the ground!

Put your hands behind your neck!

Do not make any movement! I repeat: Do not make any movement !
