Chapter 33: Assisting Other Worlds
While considering his options, Coal decided to ultimately think about it another time as a message alert came to his armor.
The quick debrief of the assignment was that there were numerous dimension breaks on the lava world Brim.
Taking in all the information Coal gave an okay and was teleported to this world.
Coal was intrigued by his new assignment, as it sounded quite challenging.
He quickly gathered his equipment and made his way to the teleportation chamber.
As he stepped into the chamber, he felt a rush of energy as he was teleported to Brim.
He found himself standing in a barren wasteland, surrounded by mountains of fire and ash.
The heat would be unbearable to normal beings, but those that evolved on this world as well as people like Coal who not only had the crystal armor, but a high affinity in fire were not that affected.
Coal took a moment to acclimate himself to the environment before activating his scanner to search for the dimension breaks.
The scanner revealed that there were several breaks located throughout the planet, and they were growing larger by the second.
Coal realized that he needed to act quickly to prevent any further damage.
He set out towards the nearest break, using his fire affinity to move quickly through the harsh terrain.
As he got closer to the break, he noticed that there were strange creatures emerging from the portal.
They were covered in flames and had sharp claws and teeth.
He held out his arm and space warped to reveal a missing chunk of space in the shape of a sword.
Channeling his energy the entire space was filled with burning fire energy that condensed hundreds of time.
A wave of his other hand and a section of space around them seemed to freeze with flames no longer flickering and lava no longer flowing.
Even the ashes in the air stopped. With the space locked down Coal swung his condensed flame sword releasing all the energy towards the portal incinerating these beasts that seemed to have fire affinity.
The flames were not just hot but were a mix of fire and the null element that literally broke down the invading dimensions monsters on the atomic level.

After wiping out all the ones that had gotten through the portal he grasped towards it with both hands and gripped with his fingers.
The tear in their dimension could be seen visibly closing and when Coal’s hands met the portal was gone.
Coal took a deep breath and stepped back, feeling satisfied with his success. But he knew that there were still many more breaks to close.
He continued on his mission, using his scanner to locate the remaining breaks and repeating the same process of closing them.
As he worked, he noticed that the creatures emerging from the breaks were becoming more aggressive and powerful.
Coal realized that there must be a stronger source behind these breaks and decided to investigate.
He used his scanner to locate the source and found it deep within the heart of one of the largest mountains of fire.
Coal made his way through the mountain, facing many obstacles along the way.
Finally, he reached the source of the breaks, which was a massive crystal that was pulsating with energy.
Coal knew that he had to destroy the crystal to stop the breaks.
He summoned all of his energy and launched an attack on the crystal.
The crystal cracked and shattered into a million pieces, and with it, the dimension breaks stopped.
Coal breathed a sigh of relief and looked around.
The landscape was now peaceful, and he knew that he had successfully completed his mission.
He activated his teleportation device and was transported back to his world.
As he left Brim, he couldn't help but wonder what that crystal was.
It very well could have naturally formed within the mountain, but there was a chance someone had placed it there purposefully to disrupt the space there and cause dimensional breaks.
Coal's curiosity was piqued, and he made a mental note to investigate further into the origins of the crystal.
He knew that it could be a potential threat if someone had intentionally placed it there.
Upon his return to his world, Coal reported back to his superiors and provided a detailed account of his mission.
He also shared his suspicions about the crystal and suggested that they investigate further.
His superiors agreed, and they sent a team to Brim to gather more information about the crystal and its origins.
Unfortunately they were unable to determine whether it was artificially placed there or naturally formed there.
Coal had to quell his suspicions as he was tasked with more dimensional breaks to stop on different planets.
Coal continued his work, traveling to different worlds and closing dimension breaks.
Each mission was unique, with its own challenges and obstacles to overcome.
Some worlds were full of lush greenery, while others were barren wastelands.
But no matter where he went, Coal was always ready for the task at hand.
Coal felt a sense of satisfaction as he completed each assignment, knowing that he was helping to maintain order and prevent chaos in the universe.
Coal also made it a point to learn as much as he could about each planet and its inhabitants, often taking time to interact with them and learn about their culture and way of life.
He found that this not only helped him in his missions, but also gave him a greater appreciation for the diversity and complexity of the universe.
With each mission, Coal gained more experience and knowledge.
He became an expert in closing dimension breaks and was able to do so with greater efficiency and speed.
Every once in a while he would find similar scenarios to the Brim world in which a crystal causing the dimensional outbreaks was there, but everytime no evidence supported that it was artificially put there by the teams sent to investigate so he had to just move on.
Each time his suspicions grew, but with no evidence moving on was all he could do.
Eventually, Coal was promoted to a leadership role within the organization. He was tasked with training new recruits and leading missions to stop dimensional breaks.
Coal took his role seriously and trained his team to be the best that they could be. He shared his knowledge and experience with them, and they in turn respected and trusted him.
Together, they traveled the multiverse, closing dimensional breaks and protecting the fabric of space and time.
