RELOCATING

‘Shing!’

The sound of metals clashing echoed in the cavern as Sigfreed threw his sword to meet the claws of the creature. Trisha in a split second swung her sword once more to fully decapitate the creature.

The aftermath of the fight was a cavern filled with dead terrier badgers, most of which was buried.

Thanks to the healing ring I got from Zetra most of my minor wounds were healed up after the battle, but that didn't do much for the internal injuries and aches.

I had decided to remove the horn from the Leader badger, and to my surprise when I filled it with my mana it glowed red until eventually, a red blast erupted from it viciously.

After spending another week or so trying to use other badger horns to file down the Leader's horn it was now shaped like a katana and equally as sharp.

Its sleek black look along with lines running horizontally gave it a very nice feel, the sharpness of this sword was not to be underestimated; it could slice through rock effortlessly. Even injecting it with mana while it was drenched in blood allowed it to repair itself from minor defects.

After losing my toothpick of a knife this sword was a well-needed upgrade.

Eventually, our food and water supplies had finally run thin and we were forced to return to the surface.

After seven days of walking we finally arrived at a door, Uncle Sig had to use his elite warrior's strength to hit the door multiple times before he fell through and the sunlight attacked our eyes.

We raised our hands and took a deep breath finally feeling some fresh air enter our lungs after two months in the dusty cavern.

We surfaced on the side of a mountain within the Stellar Kingdom. The Stellar Kingdom was the kingdom adjacent to the Dragnear Kingdom where my family originally resided.

The maps within the dimensional rings led us to an old cabin deep within the forest at the side of the mountain. This cabin was made of wood, and despite the greenery that covered its outside, the inside was warm and well lit. The stream running nearby provided fresh water.

It was a homely cabin, nowhere near as comfortable as the family villa that I had grown accustomed to but it was a homely cabin nonetheless.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

After we settled in, my sister and I each chose a room. Sigfreed explained to us that without the map this place would not exist on our plane of existence, instead, it would remain invisible to the outside world.

The major issue with this cabin however was the lack of food which forced us to head out and hunt for food daily.

Being so deep within the forest we had to be very cautious. There was far more than the average rabbit and bores running about. Periodically we would hear the roars of massive creatures and hope to not run into any magical beasts.

The first days were peaceful, I would spar with Sigfreed or my sister and each time be beaten. Sigfreed, already being an elite warrior, had a monstrous hidden strength that I could not counter easily even when he held back. Meanwhile my sister's understanding of magic was so profound, that each time we spared she would teach me painfully, a new property of magic.

During these spars I would sparingly use my true magic. I only used my gravity mitigation or gravity amplification when sparring against them, and I would only refer to them as ‘Swift’ or ‘Slow’ spells.

I thought I was clever disguising as an enhancer type magician, however, my sister saw through this after a few spars,

“If you want to hide your true magic, you need to have more personal spells, else it will be too obvious that that isn't your real magic.”

I wasn't sure if it was because of her genius status or my lousy acting, but she was right.

I spent the next few weeks trying to figure out ways to make my gravity magic look more like enhancement magic, all while still trying to improve my gravity magic itself.

During this time, I would often disappear for hours deep into the forest on my own. It was dangerous for someone at the age of ten to be alone so deep within the woods, and from time to time, I would be attacked by wild animals. So far, I had faced a few small creatures while training; they often turned into dinner for us.

Every now and then I would encounter a magical creature and test my strength. Whenever I ran into a creature too powerful for myself I would call my sister and if it was stronger than her then Sigfreed would step in.

Due to this our coordination and combat powers on a whole had risen over the months.

A few months had passed. I had spent the last five months, mainly working on my physical development. My body, despite not showing, was on par with a fully developed adolescence.

Today like any other I was in the middle of the forest when my focus was interrupted by loud crashes in the distance.

From where I stood, I could feel waves of heat, followed by waves of chilling air, then waves of sharp winds.

I tried to get as close as I could to observe what was emitting such powerful waves of elemental magic. The closer I encroached, the more forces pushed me back. I struggled with each step until I finally arrived close enough to observe.

I saw a giant three tailed black wolf, its fur so dark it seemed as if one could fall into an abyss of darkness by simply gazing too long into its coat.

This wolf, with its sheer size enough to surpass the crown of trees and its bright yellow eyes howled and shook the entire forest.
