Zena felt a sense of relief wash over her as the angel passed by, their presence calming the hostile environment. She turned to Saffron, grateful for his timely arrival. “Thank you for coming,” she said, her voice shaking.
Saffron placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “Of course, Zena. I couldn’t let you face these creatures alone.” He glanced around, surveying their surroundings. “We should move, though. Who knows what else is lurking in these wastelands?”
Zena nodded in agreement and they set off, keeping a watchful eye for any other creatures that may be lurking in the shadows. As they walked, Zena couldn’t help but wonder about the purpose of these strange creatures and the angelic being that had appeared before them. Were they a sign of some impending doom or just a strange occurrence in the desolate wasteland?
With Saffron by her side and the angel’s presence still lingering in the air, Zena felt a sense of courage and determination wash over her. She knew that whatever lay ahead, she would face it head-on with her companions by her side.
Saffron looked at Zena. “We have to leave, now,” he said, lifting her in his arms.
“Where are we going?” she asked, feeling a sense of apprehension.
“To Leptailurus Australis,” Saffron replied.
Zena had heard of the constellation, which comprised fourteen stars and resembled the shape of a tree. It was most visible in the Southern sky after the spring equinox.
In ancient times, Leptailurus Australis was believed to represent the god of dusk, and they still regarded it in some societies.the constellation was associated with navigation, and they said those born under its sign be beloved. They were said to be compatible with people born under the constellations resembling a gecko, rhino, or pistol, but not with those born under the fox, screw, or compass constellations.
Saffron carried Zena to their destination, the constellation of Leptailurus Australis. As they arrived, Zena looked around in confusion and asked Saffron, “Where are we and why did we need to come here?”

Saffron, with a determined expression, walked, “We are on the planet Crucifix. After what we just faced, we need help from the Purity Space Fleet.”
Saffron’s words took aback Zena. She had never expected to find herself on a different planet, let alone seeking the help of an intergalactic fleet. She tried to process the situation, wondering if she had hit her head or if she was dreaming. But as she looked around and saw the unfamiliar surroundings, she realized it was all too real. She went with the flow and follow Saffron’s lead.
“Um, Saffron,” Zena caught up to him and asked, “Can you tell me more about the Purity Space Fleet?”
Saffron pointed towards a fleet of gleaming spaceships, “That is the Purity Space Fleet. They were trained to combat the Corps of Venom, the enemy we are facing.”
Zena’s gaze was fixed on the approaching army, numbering a staggering 70,000. Their synchronized footsteps created a thunderous symphony that reverberated across the land as if a giant serpent was slithering its way forward.
As the army drew nearer, the clanging of armor and the creaking of siege engines filled the air, drowning out all other sounds. The war animals’ growls and grunts could be heard over the din.
Silence hung among the soldiers, the weariness of the long march mingling with a growing sense of trepidation. They moved forward as a single entity, with a sole aim in mind: defeat the enemy.
At the forefront of the army charged a group of eager soldiers armed with twin swords. They were followed by archers, poised to release their arrows at close range, who were flanked by elite foot soldiers brandishing pikes.
The army comprised several other regiments, each with its unique specializations, such as defensive units, artillery units, bomb units, and charging units. The sheer might of their combined forces was awe-inspiring to behold.
Saffron turned to Zena, his eyes burning with intensity. “We need to reach the fleet before the Corps of Venom does,” he said. “The Purity Space Fleet is our only hope of winning this war.”
Zena nodded, feeling a sense of urgency rise within her. They needed to act fast, or everything they knew and loved would be destroyed. As they made their way towards the fleet, Zena could see the glint of determination in the eyes of the Purity Space Fleet’s soldiers. They were ready to fight for their cause, to protect the universe from the evil that threatened to consume it.
Saffron and Zena arrived at the fleet’s command center, where they were met by a group of high-ranking officers. Saffron explained the dire situation and begged for their help.
The officers conferred among themselves, their faces etched with concern. After a few tense moments, the commander of the fleet turned to Saffron and said, “We will assist you in any way we can. We must stop the Corps of Venom at all costs.”
