Chapter 20: To many chances at life

--

It's been two days and I'm beginning to feel like

It's been two days and I'm beginning to feel liberated, but it's not the same as way back then I feel nicer and I like it

It's been two days and I'm beginning to feel liberated, but it's not the same as way back then I feel nicer and I prefer it.

(You don't need to go to work, you still have hours left, why not just enjoy yourself).

No, I feel like it's a waste of time, and I feel scared of the thoughts of not doing it, I can't stop what else will I have but this.

(When will you stop).

One day but not today, if I never started would I be here or no, a part of me would wish for that liberating feeling to it's max but that's why the night is my day unless I also started taking a night job but nah.

My job starts at 8:00 and since it's still 4:47 maybe a part of me wanted to see the world I ignored so much.

(Seal the deal, sell it, be king).

Sometimes .... sometimes I wanna grab my face, grab and squeeze and have my head explode like boom, just as punishment for making me remember something sad like that.

(You scared it gon make you unsatisfied, you want the chance of the chase, not the destination, you wanna procrastinate).

Yeah either that or the chance of me being some feet under. I am just wishing for a minute. One for me.

(You say you work everywhere and yet leave some jobs out there out in the open, you overexaggerate).

Having humanity to some is a choice dictated by mood, to others a life they live by. To him it was never a life to live by, because when kids grow their shells and make mistakes unless taught not to, they are still kids, a kid is never wrong because at that he is raised wrong, but when that kid is raised he no longer has that excuse unless something is shielding him from reality. Malfonz is therefore wrong, because he isn't a kid anymore.

--

He sat there, and just a few minutes ago he was buying a lolipop, a wine glass and other amenedies. He cleaned up the house, moved the chairs, closed the curtains and was set on spending the first hour playing a game of his choice. Now it was lively out there beneath the sun, it was about time and the kids laughter was starting to swell up the town as they ran and played, in the distance the background would make you believe the earth wasn't flat instead it's crust was covered in trees of different kind, even though it was.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

(Disclaimer: In this world the earth is flat, and the whole solar system spins around the only flat planet, even the sun, because there seems to be no observable life out there scientists said, some don't even know, some believe it is all just a prank by the guy that says you better catch that that running refrigirator, little did they know it hasn't been running since 5 years).

He brought along the only people he knew that Malfonz him, other versions of himself no doubt, There was Alex his long lost twin brother, there was Lex his buddy that transfered back and was like a rival to the young man (a long contrived drama about two dudes in love with the same girl), then there was Ex the deadbeat stepdad of everybodies dreams, the one that looks nice but leaves you (not because he's a douche but because he has alzheimers). His name is fitting, since he has so many exes. Malfonz readied the cards, it was poker night, and the number one rule was no cheating and no fighting. The poker chips were on display and as a rustle disturbed the background ... nobody seemed to care and kept playing. "Now remember the one that bets most loses most of his chances, so bet wisely", said Malfonz as he wrote down the money amount everybody bet on and placed it all on a leaderboard. Since everybody else was Malfonz too, he seemingly ignored himself. "Get it started", yelled Alex, "Now now let him speak, and since I know him best, he is done", said Lex, "Who are you guys", said Ex, "Oh Ex how simple he is", said everybody in unison except Ex. "The rules are simple they are displayed on the board, right next to the leaderboard", said Malfonz again ignored.

1. A pair, a double pair, a three of a kind (lowest chance at victory)

2. Four of a kind and or straight (an order of five in a row) or a flush all one color

3. Straight flush (all one color and in order) or the winning game royal flush (one color and the highest cards in the deck placed)

The more down you go the better the chances at victory.

Everybody recieve two cards, and five placed on the table. Three cards are revealed out of the five and using the two you already have make a connection that gives you the winning game. You either try, or mark yourself as out, and when all bets are placed the game ends.

Malfonz not participating dealt the cards, each person recieveing two, Alex had a king and queen of the same variant, Lex with a groan sat there in silence as he had recieved an ace and king but of two colors one a heart and the other a black square looking thingy and seeing this the first thing he did was throw the money at Alex and getting himself banned from the table, Ex was lost however even with all that Alzeimers he had something he could never forget was the thrill of poker so he readied himself for a royal flush as well. The cards were flopped and placed in order of 3 of hearts, 2 of black squares, and an ace of four leaf clovers, all that could offer the boys was two pairs no more, but they bet it and continued. Lex could have won if he didn't rage. Alex as he saw the last two cards bet all his cash, his story was that all this was noble because he was using the money to save a dying orphan to make his dad proud (the story has some plotholes to fix), Ex was betting on getting a straight flush now instead (the plot deemed him dumb now) the get go. He had no reason for winning, he wanted money, even though that alzeimers of his made him forget what that money was used for he still wanted some. Alex won because he had to save the girl (turns out he conveniently recieved a royal flush and Malfonz switched his cards for that one victory), Ex got lost while sitting down and proceeded to pass out and die, however he shortly came back and everybody clapped because the story would be too sad with death. Another bang was heard from the kitchen scaring all the Malfonz's straight into one person, no Alex, Lex or Ex to be seen. I guess ghosts do exist Malfonz thought to himself and readied himself to go to work even though he still had two hours left. Fin.
