Cover story 30: Distortions are always there, people are always there
Even if a cop who sees the world in black and white walks down the path he does even near the streets his personal issues prevent him from being better. He walks and as reality distorts the water starts to rise from the ground almost swallowing him whole, but he knows nothings there. The fish as high as the sky and as scary as the vast ocean jump about, but he knows nothings there, and then music helps numb it even a bit helps.

I lost...
He's getting up but not coming after me, he's shaken, but not weak enough anymore. I need a drink all that waste of time just to end up killing off nobodies at the end of the day. This was a headache.
Am I sure his state of mind is his weakness, how else did I damage him?
--
I just end up sitting back all day, almost like watching the day go by. My parents told me to wake up earlier but really does it even matter when 12 and 13 are just a number apart. I end up sleeping trying to imagine something instead of the blackness of my eyelids, then comes payday. Payday sucks honestly, the pay either gets higher or lower depending on the mood of mister Lucifer over there,
You know because the vagueness of payday really gives you an idea of maybe me gettin paid, nope I pay him like the nobody he is he's draggin me down with em. Even just a smoke break, that tingly scent of rotten cheese really makes you crave more of eating less and filling up your lungs. Everydays a chore, wake up, get dressed, go to work, repeat, gamble the rest of the tips from the tip jar, I guess being a starting gambler our work around turns out being most of us quit before hitting big, I wanna hit big, maybe buy off my boss, makin him my employer before firing him on the same day as the guy polishes my boot and the snake in my boot. Then there's the ladies and using the money to move far away from the slums, that's a luxury, none of those zombies like in the books can catch me. I guess instead of talking about my dreams and aspirations I should get to work. I later dressed up a good clean suit, the landlord wasn't gonna show until a month and I am still financially responsible with my money.
My whole world turned upside down when he showed up on my doorstep right after those words left me, of course his mood was tuckered down almost as if he was having a bad day here to give me a bad day too... STRANGE FEELING I KNOW, sometimes I wonder if he sees me as a pushover and treats me so. Fuck that guy, maybe I can convince him to wait a month.
--
"Hey man can you wait a month, you said so last time", said the suited up guy with a tie about to go to work.

"A million, I need those a million 1/10 000*s due right now or by the day after tomorrow".
"What do I look like som piggybank mister Lucif... I I- mean fashionable and handsome young man at the age of 100 just hitting his teens, compared to you I'm a small ant can't you ask the bank and borrow some you got the money", said the man.
"Not a good day antsie a million is about the amount I lost not working for a day, now I am being generous and not asking for 3 of those at the same time, I missed 3 of those days can you make it up to me, you and two other lucky few".
"Now young handsome boss o mine, you see those people right dere they have somethin called a life and in their freetime they have a job they do and what happens if I lose mine, how can I pay my dear boss his unearned money taken right from my small grubby hands", said the suited man a bit droopy from waking up so late ending up worsening his situation insulting his landlord.
"You know what fuck you I'm not dealing with this, I missed sleep now I want more, MA can you clean my sheets", said the man about to leave.
"Three days and 3 million, no more no less, and if I don't have that much your head will be the final dish all those orphaned dogs and cats might devour on NOW GET OUT".
--
He was in disbelief the whole day after that, how is he gonna get that much cash ready at only three days time, almost mute for the whole day and even more desperate for money than ever. I guess no matter what taking a risk is highest in order now, he gambled all his hard earned money right out of his pocket enjoying booze, beer, liquor while he stayed out whole night. The one chance he won a thousand he just got beat up in the alleyway. Knocked out robbed and battered, all that was left of him was selling off his pride, maybe a sugar mama would want me eeh he told himself. He atleast needed a hundred asmerelda, and three of those numbers in order to pay it all off, his mom alone at home, as his dad was about to visit back home and now they were in more debt than ever.
"Hey hermano wake up before you go dying on us again", said the bartender, languages were isolated per religion and region of the area, this was the spanish region in the right center of the heart of said nation.
"What can I say I am gonna end up dying or worse end up paying off everything before I even get a glimpse of enjoyment", said the suited up guy now bruised and battered.
"What you gonna tell your old folks", asked the man.
"I ended up with the wrong crowd", said the suited man.
"What if I die before he kills me", said the suited man.
"Peoples times come when they come, asking for it to come sooner seems selfish no, I wouldn't want my mother or father knowing their son died right after you find out you barely have the body to move and then turns out retirement is nothing and on top of that I heard some neighbors get eaten alive by those zombies everybody has it rough, he's a landlord why not ask to get evicted", said the man.
"You think that'll work, I don't see son of Lucifer going easy on me for leaving, my head on that platter way before I end up carrying my bags out that house", said ths suited man.
"How much", said the man.
"300 of those things you call asmereldas got any", asked the suited man.
"I work at a bar hermano, I can offer a job but no more pay, I heard a normal mans death is worth that same sum or more", said the man.
"I would violate myself before I end up taking the first human out cold, is running away an option", asked the man suited up.
"I see first day with issues eeh", asked the man.
"Sometimes running sounds nice, but this ain't my first rodeo", the man drank his drink and left for home defeated as he greeted his worried mom before a scolding. Fin.
