This is what I have so far. Let me know what you think.
Kuo managed to learn quite a bit. Her bloodline apparently made her able to live as long as she had. She should be thankful to her parents but she felt only an empty void in her chest when she thought about them. Her bloodline made her faster than other children, and allowed her to withstand the cold in DongZhou city much better even though her bloodline was dormant during that time; just her bloodline’s existence gave her an edge over normal Humans.
Now that her bloodline had awoken she quickly found that she disliked the heat. Before, she did not mind warm weather and even welcomed it at times, but now she felt like she was melting inside her clothes. It did not really help that she bought her clothing during winter. And while she liked her current set of clothes, she felt it might be time to get one more summer friendly...
However, she had a money problem to solve first. Buying the daggers had bled her dry and she had not even used them yet! She didn’t even know what enchants were placed on them. In fact, she had another item she didn't know about, the cloak; she had brought it with her in the hopes of learning something about it...
Ah, thinking in this heat was painful... She had to get rid of her outer robes. Simply too hot! Kuo thought and threw off her outermost layer of clothing. She would go hide inside Shi Shi's cave but inside there felt like an oven. And Shi Shi herself was currently out and would only be back for their training session in the evening... and so Kou was left suffering on her own. Bloodlines had good and bad things...
Sitting underneath a tree, she played around with her cloak. She wanted to find out what made it special; however, she was not to keen to wear a thick black cloak in this weather. As her fingers brushed over the inner fabric she slightly tilted her head to the side. The cloth felt rather cool to her touch - she had never really paid attention to the cloak’s temperature but now that the summer had hit hard it was hard not to notice something nice and cool.
Her eyes went wide as she explored the fabric more. The cloak was way too big for her wear properly but this did not hinder her from tossing it over her and curling up inside. Ahh... what bliss... the fabric is nice and chilly, she silently cheered. It was like sitting inside an ice cave; Kou was in heaven...

Li Zhi was close to snapping! Fu Tengfang had been nagging her for days, pestering her for where Yun Kou had gone. And, of course, he won't go bother Xiu Shihong or Hei Tian, instead, he came to bully her. She told him countless times that the girl went into closed-door cultivation somewhere in the mountains. Kou had shown up one day, told Li Zhi she’d be gone, and then vanished for weeks! How was she supposed to know where the girl went!? She did miss Kou - the training she did with Hei Tian and Xiu Shihong was frustrating without Kou as both of them were close in cultivation.
Of course, Li Zhi would never say or show her discomfort. She was a proper lady after all and strived to act refined, but this Fu Tengfang was getting on her nerves! He ambushed her after lessons; he found her on the road and when she went out for missions. He appeared everywhere! It was to the point that bystanders were suspecting the boy may have fallen for her.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
And now he stood in her way once again with his two gorillas flanking him! She just wanted to go home and go over her notes and yet the boy she actually could not afford to offend had once more stopped her!
"What do you, want Mister Fu?" Li Zhi kept her voice barely under control. "I do not know where she is. I can't help you. So will you please leave me alone already?!" She did not even give him the opportunity to talk! Done with this harassment, she almost felt ready to challenge this boy to a life or death duel!
Fu Tengfang was taken aback; of course, he wanted to ask the girl once more about Yun Kou. She was his only information source. Impatient, he began to follow her around and then never stopped. She could have lied to him and met the street rat in secret! Of course, he would ask her every opportunity he got! He had a job to do after all! Fu Tengfang felt quite wronged; he couldn’t see a reason for her to lash out like that.
"There is no reason to treat me like a criminal, Miss Li. I'm really just looking for ...Miss Yun... for business - no reason to yell at me," Fu Tengfang stuttered. Her sudden outburst stunned him. Over the time he had sought out Miss Li, he actually found her rather agreeable and well behaved.
Li Zhi did not want to talk with the Fu boy anymore, he lacked any common sense! If not for her family, she would've thrown him and herself of a cliff to end this suffering! She considered herself a patient girl, and she had been rather scared of the boy, but even she did not endless patience! She huffed at the boy once more; he was really stupid! "I don't know where she is. Once she is back I will tell you. So stop bothering me!" Li Zhi shouted and then dashed away before they could do anything.
Li Zhi was a good girl! But this constant looming threat of Fu Tengfang and his gorillas was eating away at her sanity. The constantly looming threat of those two giants and the social downfall of offending Fu Tengfang was too much. She did not aim her anger towards Yun Kou for this, just at the boy. But Li Zhi very much wished Yun Kou came back soon or she would go crazy!
A few hours later Li Zhi found herself in Xiu Shihong's and Yun Kou's house. She had taken refuge here so Fu Tengfang could not catch her at her house.
"This boy is really stupid, how does he see any merit in it? Whatever he wants from Kou I'm quite clear he has nothing good on his mind. His constant rambling about wanting to find her will just make everyone wary of him," Xiu Shihong said as she handed Li Zhi a cup of tea to calm her nerves.
"I don't know, but I really don't want to deal with him anymore. I think I will go into closed-door cultivation until Yun Kou comes back. I need to fully step into the second realm myself anyway." Li Zhi had already made the step into the second realm on the spiritual level by now and she would need some more work to reach the same in physical cultivation thought.
Xiu Shihong rubbed her nose slightly - she wondered if the little Fu boy would come with trouble for her after Li Zhi had escaped him. He would not bother Hei Tian. The boy was a leading figure in the boy's group after all. She slowly stepped towards a window and looked outside, her fiery red eyes narrowed slightly. "I wonder how Yun Kou’s progress is going. With her background, she will have to work hard to keep up.”
Xiu Shihong knew that her own family would start sending her care packages once the peace period ended. Some might say that such an act was not honorable and forbidden, but the sect would not overstep their bounds. There were rarely situations were commoners could use the nobles as stepping stones and soar above the clouds. Nobles were the most shameless, after all.
She did not want Yun Kou to be swept up in some political plays ether. Either way, life would soon become more bothersome inside the outer sect. Xiu Shihong and Li Zhi were preparing themselves, as was everyone else. She could only hope Yun Kou did the same.
