There were three kids sitting there as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
“Who are you, where did you come from, and do you know what time it is?” says Peri, crossing her arms.
Two of the kids were boys but the last was a girl. They were all wearing shorts, sandals, and tie-dyed t-shirts. But what was strange was the fact that they all had on mittens. Xinexa trailed her eyes back up to their faces and almost shivered. They had kids’ faces but their eyes where unnerving. She was about to look away when she saw and smelt them very clearly. On their heads were cat ears! The boys both had grey ears, but the girl had calico ears that were orange, black and white.
“What are kids like you doing here all alone?” asked Fork, pointing a finger at them.
The cat-eared children turned to look at us, with blank faces. Only the girl spoke.
“Kids? We are not kids. We are the Mittz,” she says, with a droning tone.
“You’re the Mittz? The town elders?” says Lexy, looking confused and angry at the same time.
The cat triplets all nodded simultaneously. They still had blank looks on their faces. This is kind of freaking me out.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
“So…Mittz…what brings you all here?” asks Fork, crossing her arms.
The girl Mittz sighs,
“We are here to give you a message,”
“Well, what’s the message?” says Cerise, tapping her foot impatiently.
“We know that the Lox family and the Baer family have had an on and off feud for decades but now the Baers finally want to take it a step further,” the cat-girl pauses and looks down.
She slowly lifts her head back up,
“They want war.”
“War?!” exclaims Peri.
“Calm the fuck down Peri. So, what do you propose we do about this?” asks Mauven.
“You need to go to their family lair at the Abandoned Porridge factory,” says the girl Mittz.
“But that’s in the Onyx dimension, how would we get there?” says Cerise.
“Also, “we”? What are you guys you guys gon-”
“-Bye. Good luck,” the Mittz cut Xinexa off and disappear as if they had never been there.
“We can get you there,” says Penelope, smirking.
“We are witches after all,” says Petra, looking at Portia.
“Well get to it!” says Fork, tapping her foot impatiently.
The three pigs turn towards the wall on the left and start to chant. They chant and chant.. I don’t understand a thing they said. Suddenly, a pink glow started to form on the wall. It spread and a swirling arrangement of foreign characters became visible in the shape of a diamond.
“Whoa, what does that even mean?” Lexy asks, beating Xinexa to the question again.
“Don’t talk to them. You might break their concentration,” scolds Mauven.
After another minute or so, the wall has a huge glowing, swirling, mass of pink on it. The three girls slump down onto the ground, exhausted.
“We all will have to jump through this portal to get to the Onyx dimension,” says Penelope, sounding breathless.
I’m sort of excited and sort of scared but like, mostly excited, to leave my home dimension, the Lucent dimension.
