Bob's Ascension to Godhood
003: Leaving the village

003: Leaving the village

Bob stayed at the village for a few days. He finally got a grasp on the exchange rate in this new world.

Iron coins were the most common of all; even the children of the poorest families had them. A couple were enough to buy a meal. Following Iron, there were bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and finally, diamond coins. A bronze coin was worth 100 iron, a silver was worth a hundred bronze, a gold was worth a hundred silver, and so on. A couple bronze would be the average family's annual income, while a silver would be something that poorer families could only dream of. A gold coin would be something that most cities could only dream of.

Having a little less than half the wealth of the village and no more books left, Bob had a few silver coins, which would make his status just a little lower than that of an aristocrat.

Bob bought a large number of things with some of his money, resulting in

a) his newly acquired dimensional backpack being half-full; it used to contain enough iron coins to flood the village, and

b) his newly acquired dimensional backpack being full once again, from the items that bob bought.

He didn't feel any need in buying more dimensional packs and storing them inside of his new backpack, because he reasoned with himself that if he bought more items, the coins that were taking up most of the space would diminish a little.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

Bob then decided to leave the village and start adventuring with the aid of his new backpack, now filled with even more miscellaneous items than his old one had been.

Bob looked around. He had gone back to where he had first spawned; He had used the compass to go North, then West, then South, and then finally figured out that going North and South cancelled each other out and so he had wasted 10 times the amount of time going around one of the mountains in the north than he would've just going west the first time. He praised himself for being smart. The dinosaur that hadn't eaten him because he was too puny face-palmed.

Bob picked some more elppas, he found they were called, which somehow reminded him of apples though he wasn't exactly sure why, and used them to fill up the remaining space of his backpack. He looked around again.

He just came back from the east, didn't know how far the desert in the west went and didn't want to find out, was still sure he couldn't climb the mountains in the north, and finally, definately didn't want to go south.

Bob was in a dilemma.

After thinking for a while, Bob decided to go north.

Why, you ask?

It may take a while, but Bob can go around the mountains to get past them. He couldn't see the end of the desert, so it's gotta be more than just a few miles. As for South, well, he could still see monsters lurking about there.

See?

Bob really does make a smart decision once in a while.

Hence, Bob headed North again.
