*Tap tap tap* as we all sat around the egg and inched closer and closer suddenly a beak broke through the outer layer of the shell. My mother seeing this leaned forward and helped to remove the rest of the shell. A baby griffon fell out of the shell and I instinctively knew that she was a girl. She looked nothing like her mother or father and she had sky blue feathers that shimmered under the sunlight my mother seeing this smiled. Well she didn't smile as griffons can't exactly smile but I felt it through the bond. Connecting her forehead with my sister's I felt the bond being formed between all of us and my sister spoke.

''Mum.''

''I'm here'' my mom responded.

My dad chuckled.

While they were talking I went to the carcass and cut out a piece of meat.

She looked at the pice of meat with hunger in her eye's and moved so fast that I barely saw her move one moment I was holding the meat another it was gone. Man she is fast now that I look at my sister I notice that she is thinner more streamlined appearance she also has sharper claws then here parents.

I spent the next few week's with my family and since i could not fly i spent my time playfighting with my sister and trying to figure out how the system work's.

My mother came back from a hunt with special new's today.

My sister had become much more energetic and her feather's had become a deep blue like the ocean. The name she had received from the ritual was Azura a fitting name I think as I ran after her. I had long gotten used to this body and promptly jumped up on to my mother's back she stretched her arm's and flapped her massive wing's shooting up into the sky. Me and my sister looked around in awe at the landscape around us as it got smaller and smaller. Once we got to a cruising altitude my mother spoke.

''Ok, kid's I want you to focus on your cores.''

I do what she say's and focus on my core. As I enter the core I see three clouds of colored gas floating in my core. The biggest cloud was a blood red mist the second bigest cloud was a yellowish-green color

and the smallest one was a black like my inner demon eye's.

when I asked the system what these were he said that this was my elemental affinity's. The red gas was my blood affinity.

The yellow-green was wind and the black was the abyss.

I head my mother's voice.

''Ok now I want you to draw upon the yellowish-green cloud that is you wind mana.''

I did as she commanded and pulled upon the cloud.

''Ok now I want you to lead that energy towards your wings.''

I open my eye's and feel the wind mana fill up my wing's

''Ok when your ready jump and let your instincts take control.''

I lean forward and fall I spread my wing's and close my eye's and let my instincts take control. I feel the wind mana build up under my wing's and I slowly level parallel to the ground opening my eye's I am delighted by the sight before me. As I fly over the forest I feel free I flap my mighty wings and speed up.

She laughs with joy proceeding to do the loop-the-loop.

''Okay calm down let's head back to the nest.'' my mother say's in a motherly tone.

As we all head back home we experiment with flying my sister discovered that if she puts the lightning affinity into her wing's she speed's up dramatically and leaves a trail of lightning behind her. I discovered that if I put the blood affinity into my wing's a blood-red aura surrounds them and they are so sharp that they cut through the air. When we get home my father as waiting for us to return.

''Ah your back come on then I will teach you to hunt I trust that you know how to fly.''

Me and my sister nod in unison.

''Ok follow me.''

He flapped his massive wing's and shot into the sky flapping my wing's I followed after him with my sister beside me. Once we reached him he said.

''Ok I will show you how to hunt but first, I want you to watch me hunt.''

Landing in a clearing he instructed us to hide in the bushes at the side to watch. He hid in the other side of the clearing so we waited for 45 minutes before a group of massive deer with blue antlers ented the clearing. We waited for another 9 minutes before my dad sprang out of the tree's like lightning he grabbed the strongest and healthiest deer in his beak and flew into the sky. The rest of the deer's scattered and ran in all different direction's I looked up to see my dad drop the deer on to the ground and the deer looking somehow uninjured but still fazed and started didn't even have time to defend it's self before my dad dive boomed the deer and pierced it through the neck and ripped out its spine killing it instantly.

''As you can see the trick to killing this type of animal is to stun in then you go in for the killing blow.''

My dad looked at us waiting for us to absorb this information

''Now crimson you give it a try but first, we are going to a different location.''

I was broke out of my musing's when my father alerts me that we have found a nice spot it was a clearing just like the other one but this one has a river.

I fly to the forest near the river to hide I wait for 2 hours before a strange creature that looked like a mix between a turtle and an alligator walk's into the clearing. I wait for 10 more minute's before it lower's it's guard and lower's it's head for a drink. I swoop out of the forest grabbing it by the tail and fly up into the air with much difficulty especially since the turtle alligator thing keep's on moving.

once I got to a suitable hight I dropped him as he fell an idea popped into my mind my wing's when filled with blood mana they becomes sharp right.

So I fill my wing's with blood mana and dive down just before the turtle alligator hit's the ground and I cut it in two with my wing's.

This species of turtle is unable to retract its head but instead shoots fire out of its mouth to defend its self.

Whoa I did not expect that I thought that it would only cut him maybe sever a limb.

As I land my dad look's at me with shock.

''How did you do that???''

''I don't know''

''ROOOOOOAR.''

Before my dad could question me further a loud roar interrupted us.

I could feel the panic though the mental link.

''Kid's run now''

Feeling how serious this was though the link me and my sister flapped our wing's and took off.

And without any communication, we used our attributes to speed up dramatically. When we got home my mother was there she knew what had happened through the mental link.

''Ok children stand behind me''

We do as she command's then I notice that a lot of ambient mana is being drawn towards the nest slowly and portal was being formed.

BOOOM

a massive wolf landed on to the lege were we were standing it was at least as big as Father opening it's maw a fireball formed my mother seeing this pushed me and sister into the portal.

''NOOOOOO!!!''

I screamed but it was too late my sister didn't make it only I got through but not uninjured. Half of my right arm was burnt off as I fell through the portal i fell into a clearing i tried to speak to see if they were alive but I couldn't feel them through the bond. And once again i felt the loneliness that had gripped my soul for so long.
