Vel dies at the age of 18 when a god that loses his temper destroys an entire world and killing all of its inhabitants. The God is so powerful that even the souls of the inhabitants are destroyed. Vel's soul survives by a chance so small that even if he lived a thousand lives he would probably have no chance of surviving the God's rage. But death is not the end for Vel but only the beginning. a mysterious strand of energy flows from the core of Vel's broken planet and like an arrow pierces vel's soul merging with him letting him skip the cycle of reincarnation letting him retain his memories and rage for the being who killed everyone he knew and loved. His soul finds its way to a planet called Valgto and takes control of a rare species killing the original soul vel takes control of the vessel.
